I dont undersand why? Samsung give's running version for all devices in the google play market. But Huawei Mate 20 X says "This app not confortible you'r devices"... i hate it!!

If you want to run the Samsung software, you need a Samsung phone... that's the name of the game....

But could there be a workaround?

I'm not familiar in depth with the Samsung Notes App, but for the core functionality you'd need the S-Pen APIs to be available on the phone, which is only possible on Samsung Phones/Tablets with S-Pen. I'm not sure if the notes app functions on touchscreen phones only (i.e. S10, S9 and so on). If it works, then it still might be possible to port it over, but the amount of work is still considerable and complex.
So as I said, the Mate 20X is no Note device. If you like the Note software, get a Note. Otherwise you're stuck with whatever is built-in or available on the play store.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wow. I really wish I could install the samsung messages app and samsung contacts app on the mate 20x. It would be perfect for me. Is there any way you might think of or any dev you think may be able to install messages and contacts?
.

I guess the sudden interest in that comes from the recent addition of handwriting recognition to the Notes app. There are alternatives, that you can use with Mate 20 X, if that's your cup of tea....

Doesn't work on the mate 20X. The app forces closes & never opens.

S Health and Moto 360

Has anyone successfully added Moto 360 to S Health as a device? I use the app on my Note 3 and I want to add to my watch as the device and not phone.
I've tried to pair on an S4 with no luck. I think Samsung has S Health to where it only works with a few devices and Samsung watches...
Google fit is the only one I know of that works with the Moto for health.
Sleep for android works as a sleep tracker.
Give time, it'll eventually have the compatibility or someone will make it have compatibility.
Has anyone found a work around for this yet? I would love to be able to pair my Moto 360 with S-Health.
I would love this!

S Health doesn't share data with Android Wear anyway. The S4 comes with S Health, unless you rooted and deleted it, or you have the S4 GPe. You can try getting it back from the Samsung Apps store, that's where it receives updates from.

Samsung Professional Audio - Soundcamp

Hi there, am thinking of buying a Tab S...
Does the Tab S support Samsung Professional Audio (low latency audio) or not?
TIA,
S.
It appears not.....
Shame, as Android L implementation of Sound latency is still very poor.
Cheers, S.
Well haven't tested it yet but Samsung Professional Audio APk loaded fine. Not sure what app to test with though?

Samsung Pro Audio SDK is included on my Tab S with the 5.0.2 upgrade. (recently launched for Videotron in Canada)
I don't see Soundcamp in the Galaxy App Store though, and the Play Store version says not compatible with my device.
Using the latency test app from superpowered.com/latency, I am able to use the Pro Audio SDK and confirm I'm getting ~16ms roundtrip latency... so it's there it seems.
A few member here say that the free ViperAudio ia good, but installation is a bit more difficult on lollipop, never tried it my self though.

I remember reading this "Make sure your SELinux setting is permissive" for the equalizer, but as i said i have not tried it myself.

I consider V4A the best audio replacement for Android. Google should buy it and make it the standard. One person called it an eargasum and I agree. If your rooted then installing V4A is a must. With any of your video and audio apps you must turn off their internal equalizer or gain boost features so it does not conflict with V4A.

I assume you are referring to adjusting audio when a video's lip sync is not perfect? I just checked under the V4A "Expert" UI which presents the most options and did not see anything that suggested this option existed. I then checked MX Player Pro and did not such an option either.
Got a response from Soundcamp support about the Tab S, thought I'd share:
Dear ----------------------,
We really appreciate your interest on Soundcamp.
We have a plan to support Soundcamp on Galaxy Tab S, but the exact schedule was not fixed yet.
We will do our best to provide it as soon as possible.
Thanks for your interest again.

It's supposed to once Lollipop drops. My Tab S 8.4 upgraded to lollipop today but I haven't been able to get Samsung Professional Audio installed. This sucks as I really want to run Amplitube on it.

Pro Audio SDK should just be part of the firmware.
Soundcamp itself has a DAW and some music making tools, but it's really just a portal to pull together other effects apps. The other apps should work on their own. You shouldn't "need" soundcamp for amplitube to work.. i don't think?

True, but if it can run one, it can run the other (Soundcamp, Amplitube). Also, Amplitube can function as a plug-in to Soundcamp which allows recording and other features. Although Amplitube doesn't require lollipop, most of the Android guitar interfaces that IK Multimedia manufactures list it as a requirement (iRig 2, iRig HD-A, etc...).
Anyhow, I would love to get Amplitube up and running on my Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
Updates?
Has anyone got anything working yet? On my Galaxy Tab S 10 (lollipop), I can't get the official Soundcamp from the play or samsung stores. Presumably it's limited to the galaxy note 4 only? Anyways, I did find an old 4.X APK, which installed and works fine against the professional audio SDK that indeed is part of the lollipop firmware.
However, without any additional plugins it doesn't seem to be much fun. Amplitube's Samsung edition doesn't show for me either.
Is this going to be one of those "wait for Samsung" modes? At the least they could drop the device checks from their Soundcamp app, since it works fine on anything that implements the professional audio SDK.

I'm starting to think it's going to be more like one of those "never gonna happen" things. Bummer, as I really want to run Amplitube on my Tab S.
Should be launched for Tab S in the next month or so... if the rumours I hear are correct.

Any update on the note taking app for the Tab s4?

From the endgadget video you can see the samsung notes is still there...
But I wonder if there has been any tip if it has been improved or if it has recovered some features from the s-note app.
Maybe they will say something else during the the note 9 presentation.
i'm wondering this too. in the app drawer for the Tab S4, i saw Samsung Notes, but who knows what they've done with it. call me old fashioned, but the S-Note app on my now dead 10.1 2014 was already pretty much perfect for what i needed.
also seems like Sammy is really flogging the Book Keyboard + DEX experience, so that makes me wonder if they are hyping typed notes apps, especially since MS Word is pre-installed?
hope i'm wrong.
Actually didn't think MS Word was pre-installed as I thought for devices under 10" it was free, but anything over there had to be a license to run it. MS said this a while back maybe something has changed.
Anyways when typing something I can see them pushing the Keyboard aspect more since the keyboard can take up a good chunk of the screen. I'd be curious if you can still do note taking by just writing it on the screen with the Pen. Also saying that curious if the pen is similar or the same to the one that is coming with the Note 9? Doubt it, but it would be nice to have that function.

The samsung notes app is still there and you can install s-note app from the play store (whose last update is around last year note 8 release), which is still one of the best options for note taking (both in android and ios). However, samsung seems more focused in selling a stylus which can do tricks than in improving (or at least maintaining the original quality) the note taking process.

This guy gets it
Well actually, if you go to user reviews for the samsung notes and s-note apps you read always the same: "Bring back the old functionality".
Apparently, S-note app is not compatible with the tab S4. I tried to install it from the PC play store and says it is not compatible with the tab s4 but it is with my note 8. Such a shame, I really miss the one on my note 10.1 2014 too.
I successfully installed S Note. I downloaded the apk here:

If you go into the Samsung Store, you will find the majority of updates for the Samsung Notes app there. For some strange reason, Samsung doesn't post the updates for the Samsung Notes app on Google Play.
I sideloaded Samsung Notes 3.0 that you can get from APKmirror.

Access to the Galaxy App Store when paired to a non Samsung Smartphone

The S3 got a lot of bad publicity because some of the available apps for the watch could only be installed if the wearer's watch was paired to a Samsung smartphone. Is this the same with the Galaxy Watch? I am seriously thinking of getting this watch but lack of access to the available apps could be a deal breaker for me.
You can install apps from Galaxy Apps in a Samsung smartphone, but you can download them also directly from the watch, even if you are not connected to the phone with Bluetooth.
The bad thing is that when you download an app from the watch, you cannot see the screenshots or detailed information, and I think paid apps are not shown.
So basically you can download free apps from the watch, but the functionalities are very limited (I don't know if Galaxy Apps store can be accessed through the Galaxy Wearable app in non-Samsung smartphones)
Thanks for the insight. I've read a lot about this lately. I bought an old Samsung Galaxy S5 on EBay for €30. I hope to initially pair the watch to this phone, install all the apps I want. A lot of users say that you can then backup the watch to your Samsung account, unpair from the Samsung Phone, repair to another Android device and then restore the backup. I hope this actually works.
You can access Galaxy Apps from the Galaxy Wearable. There is a link in the Settings. Works on my SONY Xperia XZ Premium.
I have no problem accessing Galaxy App Store on Lenovo P2
I have been researching on other forums and it seems that some apps on the galaxy app store will only be shown if the connected phone is from Samsung. The Here We Go app is apparently not availabel for non-Samsung phones.

I think it might be regional issue. For example I'm not able to find Samsung Internet Browser or Speedo On apps. Although, I'm not even sure it the latter is available for Galaxy Watch. If someone has that could you send it for me.

Possible to port Note 5 system Camera App to be installed as a user app on Note 10+?

Hey folks,
I happen to have an old unlocked, unrooted, AT&T Carrier branded Note 5. This was, as far as I'm aware, the last version of the Galaxy and Note devices that supported the Dual Camera mode (still can download the apk from apkmirror) which allowed you to use both the front and back camera simultaneously (side-by-side, pip, etc). The Note 5's camera app was the only one to recognize the dual camera mode in its UI and allow you to select it for use.
I'd ABSOLUTELY LOVE to somehow get this system camera app ported for use as a user-installable camera app, which will allow me to use the Dual Camera mode.
Any ideas? Possible? If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd be forever grateful.
Thank you!
I dont think it is possible, very different camera, well, way different things in all regards
It should be possible with the right software.
Try 3rd party apks on Playstore, try Galaxy Store or this*:

*Scan it first with Virus Total before installing.

Keep looking. You could try contacting Samsung but their tech support sucks. Never know though.
US Samsung gives the best support and oddly SK the worst.
