Works very smooth on the S4. I know its testing, but is there any way to Root? Latest Magisk is installing but shows no Root access after bootup. For now, already amazing work for such an old device, cant believe that Android 10 really runs that smooth. @side

@side: to be honest, I'm still using(fully functional with competitive speed in current era) S4(GT-I9505) only for your outcome of hard work. Eagerly waiting for 10 beta version to try on. I know this will be the last major update for my loving S4. Best of luck.

Nope not yet. Guess the Kernel have to be modified to work with Magisk.

it's a preview.
Don't expect all functionality to be fully brought up yet.
Don't expect to use this as a daily driver.
BUT mhl probably will never work again. Give up on it or return to stock.

Debloated means the apps that were put on the phone by the carrier or manufacturer have been removed. Those apps are referred to as bloat.
It means more smoothness and battery friendly
These apps were removed will not effects on devices in bad way

Awesome Rom, you should include messages and gallery, video player apps Rom is fast, best note 7 ported rom for now! Could you atleast give me some link to download those 3 apps? Also, you can make a samapps flashable zip for us who need them.

FYI, coming from the latest version to this it seems a clean install is the only way as a dirty flash doesn't seem to work well

How often will this be updated problems I had so far with my find 7a where that the flashlight doesn't work and also that the camera kinda sucks, probs for making it work though it's sooo much better than wuxianlins

This is a test build... Please dont ask for eta's
Flashlight and camera are working.
Try a clean flash and Only LVM or unified partition through colorOS!!

Yes I know that's literally what he said it was. I was just excited about a new Android version and was curious if it was just a test build or actually a development
just share
clean install, gapps nano and using lvm
after 2 days try this test build,
1. Phone boot is amazing, very fast
2. Charging seem more faster than 7.x.x build
but i found some still bug, not very important bug
1. Low battery sound is not working
2. Charging sound is not working when i plugged charger
3. Screen lock sound not working
4. Dark SystemUI Style is not working
5. some apps can't startup when phone is reboot, like BBM, yahoo mail, gmail, need open first.
6. Email notification sound played twice
overall is okay, for me no a problem for daily use.

For those that wish to test lineage 15.1 on their unlocked Mi8 here is a working verison.
This thread will probably mutate into a thread for Dirty Unicorns or something else depends what I decide on.
For now here is a working version of Lineage 15.1
Please make sure you are running the latest firmware before flashing this: 9.6.7
Otherwise you may get some services crashing as Xiaomi added some to the vendor image in the latest updates.
Bugs? I'm unsure of all so far.
USB file transfers: The only issue is the driver shows up funny. You need to go in device manager for now and select it to use a 'portable device, then mtp usb device' and everything works.
This is fixable just not a high priority as it does work...
Bluetooth audio - working now thanks to bgcngm
Camera - working. GCAM also working (the generic 845 one from OP6 gcam thread)
DT2W Fixed
GPS - FIXED!
Speaker - Fixed
Fixed wifi and RIL.
Added lots of stock blobs.
Wifi display etc etc etc.
Some notch support. (Added all that lineage 15.1 had available)

Fixed wifi and RIL.
Added lots of stock blobs.

No display optimisations done yet for notch or DT2W but thats easy fixes for tomorrow.

This works for both variants yes.
Probably fails the checks as your device is unlocked.

just flashed it. Everything seems to be working really good! Only notch is not working as supposed. I applied the overlay.apk but notifications are still buggy. But other then that, really nice, looking forward for next updates!

Would love to test this out. Sadly i don't have jfltexx.
Got it up and running with LOS recovery. What I've noticed so far in 10(-ish) minutes of use
- Volume button to wake doesn't work
- Button illumination doesn't work
- Gesture or on-screen navigation doesn't work
But all that seems minor when you think about it - it's Android 12 on a freakin jfltexx!
