I want OxygenOS on my Oneplus 7T! - OnePlus 7T Questions & Answers

I purchased the Oneplus 7T from T-Mobile on October 18th. But the phone is locked and it also isn't running on OxygenOS if I'm not wrong. because I don't see the OxygenOS version on the 'About Phone' option.
I'm facing some issues such as if I open any game, the screen goes blank but it actually runs in the background. sometimes, if I lock the phone and unlock, then it shows the game's title screen. most of the time even if I unlock the phone, the screen stays blank and I end up shut down the phone by keep press and hold the power button.
Is there any way to go on an international framework by unlocking the bootloader? please help!!
thank you !!

If you bought it from T-Mobile it's definitely running oxygen is, it is just running TMobile slightly modified version of it.

Will wait for the conversation thru MSM there's some great developers out here, it will take maybe months before this will be a reality, been with 6T, 7PRO T-Mobile and converted easily even with bootloader locked, 7 Pro even got myself bootloader unlock after flashing the beta version, I just returned it and pick this one up last Friday, just don't like the curved screen.
If there's a guide here how to patched things, maybe we can do it by ourselves

Galaxy Nexus freeze after unlock **UNROOTED** troubleshooting

Alright, so here is what's going on.
I had my alarm go off earlier today, got up, unplugged my phone like normal. I swiped off the notifications I didn't care about like a tapatalk message etc. I noticed that Google Current's automatically updated. I'm sure that's no huge deal.
I locked the screen and went about my day. I tried to swipe to unlock, and the phone freezes and reboots. The phone is responsive until you unlock it, then it just freezes and reboots.
Tried safe mode once, and it worked fine. I then turned it off, and tried normally booting again, same freezing and rebooting. So I went to go back to safe mode, and now safe mode is doing the same thing, which means that a factory reset is now out of the question.
What the hell man.
Specs:
- Samsung Galaxy Nexus
- All stock apps except added Facebook and Tapatalk
- Jellybean 4.2.2 software I believe. I'd double check if I could.
- Still locked and unrooted
Any ideas on where to go from here? No warranty, so any ideas would help
It turns on, goes to lock screen. Then freezes when I try to get anywhere from that lock screen. Even on safe mode.
Then it will reboot automatically after about 30 seconds.
I should note I received a text in this time, and thought maybe just pulling the notification bar down and going straight to the text would work. The notification bar works, but when I hit the text, it froze the same way.
This must be some sort of self check or some Android process crashing. But I can't utilize safe mode to fix it.
Any ideas on what to do? I know there are threads with this problem, but this involves an unrooted phone, of which I have seen no threads, or threads with answers. I am not experienced with getting too far into Android, so just a direction to go, or something to try when I get home would be awesome. (At work currently)
The only options I have right now are the options upon booting with the volume down, which are Start - Restart bootloader - Recovery Mode and Turn off. In this screen, here is my info:
FASTBOOT MODE
PRODUCT NAME - tuna
VARIANT - maguro 16GB
HW VERSION - 9
BOOTLOADER VERSION - PRIMELA03
BASEBAND VERSION I9250UGLL1
CARRIER INFO - NONE
SERIAL NUMBER - xxxxxxx
SIGNING - production
LOCK STATE - LOCKED
In recovery mode, I see a dead android guy with a red triangle and an exclamation mark in it.
I realize you guys probably get a lot of dumb questions so I tried unloading all the information I could. My replies will be 5 minutes apart, as I'm new and I see that's a restriction on being here.
Thanks in advance
You can try unlock the bootloader (it'll erase your data so be careful) and then try flashing the oficial google image via fastboot and see if it solves it.
EDIT: in that screen of red triangle press up and power at the same time to show the options. There you can do a factory reset to see if it solves it. No need to unlock the bootloader that way.

Got it. It works now, but curious, is this a common occurrance? I have no idea what caused it, which worries me. But it seems to be working fine.
Wasn't worried about data loss, I haven't had the phone for too long yet. I plan on just installing the minimum apps. The point of me not unlocking it was to avoid issues, but I had more luck with unlocking it than leaving it locked.
That said, I wasn't aware you had to hold the vol up and power button to get to the options from the dead Android screen. That was an oversight on my part when I was looking up for data.
Words cannot explain how thankful I am, so thank you

No problem everything should work as intended now. What happened was a bit strange indeed. It it happens again with everything in stock then there is a possibility that it is faulty hardware and you should replace it. Maybe it was some configuration bug and nothing extreme

Fauly hardware can cause this issue? I baby this phone, has yet to be dropped (let's admit, it's inevitable), the only thing it's seen is three drops of water that fell off my sunroof onto it. I immediately grabbed my phone and wiped it off, but it was all on the screen, not in the speaker or anything.
Either way, I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks again

Yes. My phone recently was stuck on a bootloop and I've already sent it for repair. Yeah drops are never good
No problem

Phone locks up and stops responding - black screen. Only a battery pull will revive

Just got a new AT&T G3 from Amazon. Twice in the last two days, the phone has locked up so bad that only a battery pull will revive it. I tried holding the power button down for as long as 20 seconds, but nothing happens.
I haven't done anything too serious to the phone. I did root it using stump root and I have adaway installed and I'm using Nova launcher. Otherwise, it's stock. No custom kernel or anything. I'm using all the same apps that I used on my last 5 or 6 Android phones and I haven't tweaked any other settings.
Anyone else experience this or know what might be causing it? This is the first Android phone i've had in a while that's done this and it's kind of alarming, given the frequency of the occurrences. The first time it did this, the notification light was blinking and I picked it up to check it. The second time, I was pulling down the notification shade.
Thanks.
Did you search for the latest KDZ and install it?
LG Update may not always provide the latest version
If it keeps happening even though you have the latest software version take it back and show them the problem

Screen issues

Hey guys, I would appreciate your help.
I suddenly started having a weird issue with my device (EU unlocked), where almost half of the lower screen has some sort of "shadow" and it flickers when it draws something new i.e opening an app.
For some reason it also carries to bootloader, recovery, and boot animations.
Direct screenshots don't show the issue on the picture.
Edit:
Just to clarify - I never dropped my phone, it never got wet and I always charge it with the original brick and cable. I was watching live TV when the issue suddenly appeared.
I will try to take a picture of the issue.
Edit 2: Took a picture after a system wipe booting up.
Edit 3: Took additional pictures.
Looks like a definite hardware failure to me... Only option would be to send in for repair.
If it was software, the problem would be displayed in the screenshots too.

This is so weird... it just happened all of a sudden
I hope warranty will cover it even though I unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom rom
Definitely your backlight. Did you buy from Carrier or HTC? If it's the unlocked version from HTC then you don't need to worry about the unlocked status. If it's a carrier version, you may want to restore your stock backup to try to avoid them giving you any **** about it.

Op3t screen replacement now black screen in OS

Hey y’all
So my phone fell two weeks ago from about 3 feet after a bad hand off as I was showing a pic to someone.
It already had fallen and only suffered a crack along the outer screen from the first fall, but this second drop cracked the inner screen and rendered the lcd useless.
I was still able to turn it off and on, as well as increase/decrease the volume, but screen was showing blue streaks until I just turned it off.
I reset the phone to no avail and eventually got a new replacement screen and frame from witrigs and was able to get the phone into recovery. I wiped the cache and was able to finally get past the boot screen (which displayed fine) but then immediately goes black as it loads up the main OS.
The screen can sense my finger and the touchscreen vibrates when I touch it as if the unlock number pattern screen would appear on the screen but, the screen remains blacked out.
I can turn the volume up and down, power button works fine. I can access twrp and it shows the full screen on the display, but once the OS tries to load the screen blacks out while otherwise functioning as it should.
I checked all of the connections and they’re all good, no loose ends or incorrectly inserted or disjointed pieces, I just can’t get a visual right when the os loads up.
Any ideas if this is hardware/software based? Doesn’t make sense that the screen shows up fine during the initial boot then goes black during the os boot and everything but the screen functions as normal. Thanks

Which rom/kernel you on? You can try another kernel and check
I think I was in resurrection remix 5.8.2. I mostly care about my files but if I can still use the phone that would be ideal.
Just tried flashing the rom I had on before (rr remix n 5.3.5 20180612 release), then dalvik and cache wipe, with the same result. Thanks to anyone that replies and has some insight! Been going on two weeks since my phone was initially dropped to replacing the screen to this! Grrr

Sometimes there is a drivers issue on replacement of screen. Try OOS and see if it works. Atleast for some people, OOS solved the issue.

Thanks. Should I try a newer more recent oos or one closer to the oos I had installed? Does it matter?
I would ideally like to get back to where my phone was, but if I can’t I’m content with starting over if it means I’ll have a functioning phone.

Recent OOS can be tried. There is no link between what OS you had and the OOS you are flashing.
Hope you succeed!
had similiar problems, replaced my screen was using custom roms too i found out cheap screens dont work properly and the only way around this for me was to install caesuim latest kernel cause my screen use to stay black after the screen went to sleep until i installed that kernel works great now
I have a like problem, my oneplus 3 locks the bottom of the screen, already replaced kernel and nothing works, someone has suggested what it can be, the screen has been replaced.

S20 Ultra Find My Mobile Locked

hey all, new to the forums and looking for some help. I think I'm screwed tho lol.
Bought an S20 Ultra from a website I've used before, used but seemed legit. Got the phone and it is stuck on the pin lock screen, says phone is locked. I can't seem to get a refund which is awesome because i bought it as is.
Cannot swipe up or down. Only able to go into emergency calls screen. Can't shut the phone off without a force restart as it says "pin required." I cannot get the phone to go into recovery mode or any boot modes. It just restarts and loads right to the pin unlock screen. I'm lost. Pretty sure I have a $500 paperweight now. Anyone know of a way to reset this thing? I would return it to its owner but I don't know where or how. Thanks

Well, you will need a laptop or desktop with Samsung drivers install and Odin. Download latest firmware for s20 ultra and flash but if "dev options" have not be turned on this may fail. You just need to reset your phone to remove pin. By this being the latest Samsung device, no one has probably even tried, or try a smart phone store that makes OS repairs. It can be done.
