Has someone been able to correctly take a RAW photo? If the answer is yes, how? My ROM has camera2 enabled, and I've tried some apps but all of them end up giving a DNG file that cannot be edited or opened. This camera didn't even created a file!

That Is my issue! I take the pictures, and then every editor in existence fails to open them saying that they can't be opened or that they are corrupt. So I guessed I was doing something wrong or using the wrong apps. Which camera are you using? This one?

Hey thanks for reply.
When i install the apk and open it i have this message "Device not supported" :s

@jatinkhatri That's cool, thanks. Is there any bugs ? Can you use the frontal flash with it ?
Also, not wanting to abuse, could you please try to enable the camera2 API with it (through that build.prop method) and see if it is indeed available to the apps (there's an app for that AFAIK) ?

I don't think camera2 API will work ....
Does Camera2 api work with stock ROM ? Just asking I'm not sure about that can you please confirm ?
@jatinkhatri I don't have the phone with me right now so I can't speak. From my research though, it seems to not be enabled by default on the stock ROM, thus me asking you to try to enable it on build.prop (adding "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" to it and rebooting)

So, disabling this module means loosing HAL3 too?
Would you make a separate module for video codec only, without HAL3 modification?

nope it'll not infect anything in system module is systemless simple and tricky when you turn on this module media will working again when you disable it media server will stop n gcam will work without any issue but HAL3 Is Important Just Enable It In Build Prop Add This Lines To Your Build Prop

So it won't affect HAL3 if it is already enabled?

[GUIDE] Enable aux camera for third-party camera apps.

The second back camera module in android is called auxiliary or shortly aux. No apps have access to it, even stock, even stock camera. To have access the app should be whitelisted.
Go to build.prop
Find vendor.camera.aux.packagelist=***,***
Type camera package name you want to be whitelisted (stock cam already here)
Reboot
I couldn't add more than 4 packages. If more, the line doesn't work. Goodbye stock portrait with bokeh.
Not all apps work with aux. ̶G̶c̶a̶m̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶b̶u̶g̶g̶y̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶(̶d̶o̶e̶s̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶ ̶2̶3̶m̶p̶.̶,̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶l̶o̶n̶g̶ ̶e̶x̶p̶o̶s̶u̶r̶e̶, sometimes broken output)

Google camera driver mod

Hi,
Savitar has modify some files to increase iso and exposure time.
I have created a magisk module for easy to use. Only tested on Pixel 3XL with rooted stock rom!
Code:
Changelog
29.12.2018
- initial release
- max ISO14013
- exposure time 8seconds
30.12.2018
- v1.1
- exposure time min 1/12000
- exposure time max 32seconds
03.01.2019
- v1.2
- exposure time max 60seconds
regards
starbase64
Lol, why Savitar just don't posting this by himslef?
P.S. Is this will be good for Pixel 2 ? Or should i choose Gcam by cstark?
---------- Post added at 04:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:40 AM ----------
p.s. how i can install it? There is no apk, i need just unzip it to main memory and thats all or what?
1. works globally for all camera apps
2. it's a magisk module
Thanks, but not working on my Pixel 2.
I tried both v1.0 and v1.1, but ISO max is 3200 and exposure time max is 4 seconds on FreeDCam.

I'm interested to know what you find and if your module can be modified for the Pixel 2.
Whatever you find, thanks for taking the time to do this! If you need any help testing on Pixel 2, let me know.
bad news, savitar sees no way to increase the exposure time. quote: Pixel 2 driver is messed up when you increase the value still times out at 4s
here is a short video in low light between pixel 3xl and p20pro. language is German, but you can see the difference.
