Stop zen mode? - OnePlus 7T Questions & Answers

Ok... i don't know if you have got this yet. I just got this zen mode notification telling me to stop using my phone even though I don't have that crap enabled. What the heck. There is no way to get rid of this from what I can tell... This literally might be a deal breaker for me. ha ha.

Open Zen Mode, go to settings and disable Daily Reminder and Zen mode notification

That's the thing. It was all already disabled.

Was it an actionable notification kind of thing where you chose to not remind again and that reflected in the settings?
I think I got a notification once but none after that. Not sure if I disabled manually or through the notification.

Syndicate rom phone won't vibrate anymore

Silent mode is seriously silent and I have vibrate on silent selected. There's no way I can seem to get the phone to be able to vibrate. Any suggestions?

I had this problem. Sound Manager, found in Market, is your answer. There's a hidden sound setting where your vibrate has somehow turned itself totally off.
Obvious I know, but check your vibration intensity (Menu, Settings, Sound) and make sure it is not set to 0.
I have bonsai 4.0.1 and have always had the problem since bonsai 3. Email, calendar and text notifications stop vibrating. Will have to restore via nandroid to make it work again. Very annoying.

What do you have your haptic feedback set to? I think what happens, is if you set the haptic feedback to 0, then it will stop all vibrating functions as well. Might want to check that and see what's going on.
I read this solution elsewhere, but it may have been for a different problem.
I have haptic all the way up, vibrate on everything, nothing works except another restore.

Have you tried sound manager?
Market Link
It exposes sound and vibrate settings that can somehow change, but you can't access them otherwise. Solved this problem for me.
Yep, didn't do anything for me. I actually used to use that app for regular use too. I think I have a gremlin.

Sorry, didn't know "vibration intensity" was the same thing as haptic feedback.

There is a vibration test you can do from the dialer to test if your vibrator is working:

[Q] light flow disabling itself?!?

anyone else having this issue where every once in a while u have to re enable light flow?
As in an option disabling itself or the app is killed off by the OS and needs to be re-opened?
Most apps like that (not sure if it's the case here) allow you to put a notification icon. This will prevent the OS from killing it. Kinda' obnoxious to have to stare at, I'm sure.
Either way...I'm not going to be of much help. I don't use Light Flow .
Edit:
I think V6 supercharger still has a "bullet-proofing" option for user-set apps as well.
Maybe that could be an option.

No that's not it. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'm on aokp and Franco btw. Don't know if that matters.
It does it every couple of days or so. Almost like I wiped all the data from it or something. Idk. Just an annoyance

you can try asking the developer, I did with a question once and he/she replied rather quickly and sorted me out.
Sometimes, not often, Light Flow will hang and basically not work.
Once I force stop and re-load and enable, all is well.

(Q) Unlink ringer and notification volume

This will drive me insane until I figure it out or get an answer or some sort of modded rom. On my S3 these settings were independently controllable, I used sound manager (before that, Tasker) to set schedules to turn the notifications off at night. Does anyone know how to unlink these?
Don't believe it's an option on the One. Likely will need a mod in a rom

Might want to look into Tasker to automate the disabling sync at night. Or something similar. I have my phone switch into a 'sleep mode' where I can still get calls but don't get notifications.

I have tasker and used to use it a lot. Just another puzzle to work out. some people do crosswords! Can you post your tasker profile?
This bothers me as well. Anyone with a spare $.99 willing to try SwitchPro Widget? It's been reported to work on the International One.

I don't understand when people say tasker is a puzzle.. It's easy to figure out and has a lot of guides. I have it turn off wifi and data silence my phone and only ring if certain people call at night for emergencies. It also puts my phone on vibrate if I am busy with something on my calendar.

You would ask me to do that the day I send my phone off. I can't look right now, but when I created the profile I just opened the app and goofed with it. Have you checked it out lately? The new UI apparently made things much easier and I was able to cobble it together very easily. It's not selective like "only let my family" call at night.. but I did do a time event, said after 11pm, then turn off background sync .. I also set notification volume to 0. There were far more options in Tasker than HTC had available out of the gate.
If you can't figure it out send me a PM and when my phone returns I'll get that profile set backup and I can pass it along.

Thanks, I can figure it out, that is at least half of the enjoyment. The other half is sporting around the automation. Just got a lot on my plate right now, thought I might try to "cheat" off you.

Wake screen with a text(like iphone)

I came from an iPhone and when I got texts and emails my screen would wake to see it on the lock screen.
I am getting these notifications but my screen does not wake. I've even tried apps like Glimpse Notifications and my screen still does not wake.
Any ideas on a setting I am missing? Shouldn't it behave this way without an app? Over on Reddit a couple of T-Mobile users says theirs does it by default. I'm lost.
anyone? 62 views and no one has an idea?
Try going to Settings/Sounds and notifications/Notifications on lockscreen a.nd see if it is enabled. Not sure if this will help or not. Good luck.

This works, now I just need a better email solution to do the same. I think Aqua mail will suffice.

Anyone else pop-up notifications not working?

I have noticed any of the apps that supports pop-up notification doesn't work? I'm pretty sure it's because of the notch being in the way.
Mine comes and goes. It's very frustrating!
I've experienced this a few times. A reboot fixed it. I read somewhere that someone said they stopped working after using the Pixel Stand. I haven't tested that to verify.
Mine come and go as well. The first time they stopped working, I checked Messages, and it somehow turned itself off (it was definitely on). Flipped it back on, and it worked for a few hours. Rebooted my phone yesterday and it's been working. I'm hoping for a lot of fixes in the November update...
I don't know if this is your issue or not but I found it yesterday on the interwebs.
Search settings for custom then select custom restrictions.
In here I had a check next to "Don't pop notifications on screen" when the screen is on.
I unchecked it and now I get heads up notifications on the applications that I turned them on for.

I looked, and mine was already unchecked.
My earlier post, I had mentioned that it had been working again, now it stopped working again... WTF Google?
1) Go to Notification Access
2) Uncheck Pixel Stand
You should be able to see pop up notifications now

It's definitely the pixel stand. Every time I take my phone off I have to reboot for notification previews to start working again. I set this, hopefully it works. Any caveats?

I have not yet tested the notifications when placing the Pixel 3 on the Pixel Stand so have not seen any caveats. But just see this as a temporary fix until Google releases the patch for the ambient notification bug. Hope it helped.

Didn't work. Unchecked this yesterday, took my phone off the stand this morning, no previews or popups... They really need to update their app. This is stupid. I have to reboot my phone every day...
