Fix 90hz Refresh Rate - OnePlus 7T Guides, News, & Discussion

The phone must be rooted.
Although the one plus 7 series supports 90hz, some APPs are not 90hz, locking 90hz method:
1. Open termenal and type "su" and press Enter to get root privileges
2. Enter ' settings put global oneplus_screen_refresh_rate 0 '
Then press Enter.
3. Open the settings to see the refresh rate. If both 60/90hz are unchecked, the lock is completed.

[Q] Opinions on the LG Quantum WP7 hacks ect...

I was just looking for some opinions... It seems to me that out of all the WP7 Devices, the LG Quantum is the easiest to make changes to simply because of MFG.
Debranding and unlocks take just a couple of seconds and seem to be more reliable when I look at all the different posts on here. Incase anyone is looking for them for the quantum, here they are btw...
LG "debranding" hack
1. Enable the MFG application by going to the dialer and dialing ##634# then pressing call.
2. Launch the MFG application and enter 277634#*# when prompted for a password.
3. Select the Engineer Menu item.
4. Select the Other Setting menu item.
5. Select the Edit registry menu item.
6. Set the input boxes on this menu as follows:
Select ROOT_PATH: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Input SUB_PATH: \System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo\
Input KEY: MobileOperator
Data Type: STRING
Instead of putting in a blank, put in an empty space.
Also, if you want to re-brand your phone after the update for AT&T your input should be ATT-US
7. Select Query and write down the result in case you need to re-brand for some reason.
8. To debrand just enter the same information above and leave the input data field blank. The tool will say fail but it really did set correctly.
You can now connect to Zune and check for updates.
How to Un-Lock your Phone without Chevron 7
You can unlock the phone by using the MFG registry editor.
Open the MFG app and use the password to open it. If you don't know it's (appmfg#*#)
Go to Engineer Menu -> Other Settings -> Edit Registry
Set your ROOT PATH to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
Set your input path to "\Comm\Security\LVMod"
Set your input key to "DeveloperUnlockState" and set to DWORD
Hit Query. Output result should return a "0" or a random long number. If it does continue.
Set your input data box to "1" and hit SET. Output result should be 1
How To Keep Your Phone Unlocked
You can keep your phone unlocked and prevent Zune from re-locking it.
Open the MFG app and use the password to open it. If you don't know it's (appmfg#*#)
Go to Engineer Menu -> Other Settings -> Edit Registry
Set your ROOT PATH to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
Set your input path to "\Software\Microsoft\DeviceReg"
Set your input key to "PortalUrlProd" and set to DWORD
Hit Query. Output result should return data. If it does continue.
Keep your input data box empty and hit SET. Output result should be 0
Keep this screen open and continue to Part 2
Part 2
Set your ROOT PATH to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
Set your input path to "\Software\Microsoft\DeviceReg"
Set your input key to "PortalUrlInt" and set to DWORD
Hit Query. Output result should return data. If it does continue.
Keep your input data box empty and hit SET. Output result should be 0
Backout to the password screen and shutdown the phone via powerbutton.
Reboot and sync. Your phone should stay unlocked.
How to Re-Lock your Phone without Chevron 7
Don't want your phone unlocked anymore? You can re-lock the phone by using the MFG registry editor.
Open the MFG app and use the password to open it. If you don't know it's (appmfg#*#)
Go to Engineer Menu -> Other Settings -> Edit Registry
Set your ROOT PATH to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
Set your input path to "\Comm\Security\LVMod"
Set your input key to "DeveloperUnlockState" and set to DWORD
Hit Query. Output result should return a "1". If it does continue.
Set your input data box to "0" and hit SET. Output result should be 0
Your phone is now locked. To Unlock the phone redo the above steps but set back to "1"
Oh and I can confirm this unlock method works and keeps it unlocked.
Then once unlocked, if you combine it with the Chevron ringtone manager-> http://www.chevronwp7.com/post/20542...ngtone-manager, and any registry changes you know of such as changing themes and such, there really doesn't seem to be much you cant do with it. Is my opinion accurate? Or is it just skewed because I love this phone? Also, is the MFG the reason why it doesn't seem like anyone has worked on software for the phone like they have with the Samsung and HTC models?
Nothing unstable about my hd7. Wonder if LG ha finally broken the feature phone stigma.
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
@nrfitchett4
I have to say I think so with this one, i always hated LG, but i fell in love with the physical keyboard, even before NoDo i didnt have marketplace issues... out of the three from AT&T, this one is def my fave, and it seems like it is just so much easier to hack and change with MFG... with your HD7, does it have anything like MFG already on the phone? My understanding was HTC phones had to use software on ur PC to get inside

Verizon LTE ON/OFF Prompt for Motorola LTE Phones- no root required.

Pocket Mode

Dear Community,
Greetings,
I have been using the mate 20 x for a while now, and very happy with it, what is missing from the phone (and the mate 20 pro too) is the pocket mode in the settings of the dialer app. I had this option on my old Huawei P9.
When having the phone in my pocket, and a phone call starts ringing, the ringtone volume starts increasing, and this doesn't look good when I'm at work or in a meeting.
Is there any ADB command to bring the option to the settings (I used the ADB commands on P9 to show the Font Styles which was missing from the phone).
Regards,
Pocket mode gone
Hi I have the same problem,
latest with EMUI 9.0.0 the pocket mode setting cannot be found via dialer > three dot menu anymore.
Regardless of volume settings (except for vibrate only) the ring tone volume keeps increasing to embarrassing loudness levels when the phone is in my briefcase.
Is there any change to disable the pocket mode "feature" when you cannot access it anymore?
Regards,
MaeSiuS
Finally, a solution to missing pocket mode option
Hello,
I have finally solved it, I tried it and it works perfectly.
Here are the steps:
1- Install settings database editor by 4A from Google Play store
2- Allow developer options in your phone's settings
3- Allow USB debugging
4- Install platform tools ADB on your PC
5- Connect your phone to PC
6- Make sure your phone is recognized by ADB, type command: adb devices
7- if the ADB console list your device number, type the command:
adb shell pm grant by4a.setedit22 android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
8- On your phone, open the application Setedit
9- Go to the Secure Table from the top right menu
10- Find the line "Hide_Pocket_Mode", select the value, change it from 1 to 0.
11- Restart your phone, and you'll find the option in the dialer options, More settings.
Hope I helped, it took me time and some research, but it was worth it. lots of embarrassment caused by high ringtone in the office.

Most probably, yes.
download the setedit application, and make sure you have the secure table, and there is a line "hide_pocket_mode".
Let me know if it works.

It is necessary since it will grant permission to the setedit app to modify the secure table, without ADB, setedit won't work.

Oh man, this is so great! I have a P8 Lite from work which has pocket mode visible, but I also just bought a P Smart 2019 which doesn't have it visible. Or should I say HAD, because thanks to Hash_Droid I now have Pocket mode visible and disabled. I can't begin to tell you how you made my day. Thanks a lot!

Thank's a lot for this. It works perfectly on P30 Pro :good: :highfive:
It's hard to understand and unlogic why manufacturers like Huawei hide options like Pocket mode in their software. Most users, even the simpliest, surely are interested to customize ring tone options.
Thank you very much Hash_droid, works on P20 pro. :highfive:
Hash_droid, works perfectly on a Mate 10 Pro (I had the same issue) . Thanks a lot.
Thanks, confirming also for Mate 9, EMUI 9.1, not rooted (BL locked).
Btw, I've also enabled virtual HD sound - not sure if the call quality is better
This works on Mate 20 pro. But, if your ADB doesnt recognise your phone, install Huaweis HiSuite. Only so ADB listed my phone.
However, person at Huawei who decided that removing option to disable pocket mode should ne fired. Also, who ever designed the diler app. Huawei, just copy Samsungs dialer, or at least use google phone app. My galaxy S6 had 10x better dialer then my Mate 20 pro now has. At least I have google phone now.

Download "Setttings database editor" by 4a. Open it up and click on Global properties, scroll down until you see "tether_dun_required". Change the value to zero. You now have internet via hotspot. It's best to buy the add on because it keeps the setting locked even if you restart phone. Enjoy?

Oh my bad i left out the most important part.
1. Install adb on your laptop (search it up)
2.On your phone go to settings, general, about phone, software info, find build number section and keep tapping until you are a developer
3. Go back to general and you'll now see developer options, turn developer options on and go down to usb debugging and turn it on.
4. Connect your phone to your laptop via USB (you will get a promt on your phone along the lines of "allow USB debugging?", click ok) and open up command terminal
5. Type "adb" and press enter
6. Type the command (without quotes) "adb devices". Your device should show up.
7. Type "adb shell" and press enter
8. Open up the settings database editor and go to global and scroll down to tether_dun_required. Click "edit value" and the shell command should pop up.
Type the shell command into adb shell and press enter
9. Go to the settings data base editor and go back to the tether_dun_required and click on change value. You'll notice that you are now able to change the value, change it to 0.
10. Enjoy your hotspot!
It seems like a lot of steps but it's not. The most "difficult" task will be installing adb.
Awesome. Got it to work now. Do you have to set it to 1 for the Ota updates or after each reset? Thanks again!
No, theres no need to set it back to "1". After you shut off your phone the setting value will turn back to a "1" and you hotspot wont work until you switch it back to "0". To save time you can buy the feature pack and you'll get access to settings guardian which will keep it at "0" at all times.
