If the error states that it's not a Magisk zip, or invalid zip in TWRP, the zip is not packaged correctly. Open up the zip and you'll likely see a folder (probably named something like <nameofmodule>-master or similar, or something completely different). Take all the contents of that folder and repack it to the root of the zip and try flashing it again.

hello, i repackaged the zip file but it is still saying that it is not a magisk module. Is there a specific program for repackaging or am i missing something?

Not working for me.
It's installed with no problem, but when I reboot, the Motion Sense is still disabled.
By the way, the following command still works.
Code:
setprop pixel.oslo.allowed_override true
setprop persist.pixel.oslo.allowed_override true
setprop ctl.restart zygote

*Walkthrough* Screen off animation using Xposed

Hi All,
As with my previous devices I've always looked out for the useless but still cool, screen off animation (remember the CRT animation on the old phones? ) as it has not yet been created for our device our only other option is to use Xposed.
Thanks to @zst123 for creating the Xposed module.
Cheers :good:
I've tested this to work with LeeDroid, however it should work on any other ROM running android 6.0.XXX
Requirements
Root Access
A device running Android 6.0.XXX Marshmallow
A custom recovery (TWRP)
1. Go here and download this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3383776&d=1435601440
This is the alpha apk
2. Go here and download this http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm64/xposed-v81-sdk23-arm64.zip
This is the framework
3. Go here and download this http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/uninstaller/xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm64.zip
This is the Xposed uninstaller just in case you want to remove it.
You now have everything you'll need for now
4. Install the Alpha APK and reboot to recovery.
5. Once in recovery, flash the Xposed Framework, once installed, reboot system, this may take a while, a few minutes is not uncommon.
Once back in the android system, you'll find that it indexes all your apps, this is normal, allow it to finish.
6. Open the Xposed Alpha app and click download.
7. Search for and download the ScreenOffAnimation module and enable it under modules within the Xposed app.
8. Reboot your device.
9. Open the ScreenOffAnimation app and enable an animation. Reboot, again this may take a few minutes although it should be quicker than the framework reboot, no application indexing should take place.
10. Done and Enjoy
You will need to reboot to fully implement any new changes to this app, it also hasn't been updated for a while so the current version is v1.3, however it is functional and should work as expected.
You might be able to squeeze this whole process with maybe a few less reboots, however this is how I first did it and how it worked for me so it should (if you follow to the letter) work for you
At the time of writing the versions used are as follows.
Alpha APK v3.0alpha4
Framework v80sdk23 for ARM64 devices.
ScreenOffAnimation v 1.3
Any questions, please ask and I'll do what I can to assist.

Didn't know mate [emoji6] I know it works. Haven't tried the newer one yet. Is there actually a difference?
I know the affects on your phone is minimal with this version, will get around to trying it, also I've copied this from my old thread on the 6P so will get around to updating it when I can.
I'm getting an "Unfortunately, Xposed Installer has stopped" error :/
I renamed the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.zip to XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk, and installed it the normal way.
I'm using Xposed framework v84 (intalled by using TWRP)

Hi HTC, I personally haven't installed v84 as of yet so I can't comment on its functionality. Once I have I'll comment here however why are you renaming the file? It shouldn't make a difference. AFAIK anyway.

Yea you need to reboot after alterations. After the first it should take without.. I just installed it with the version I said to download and it still functions, can you clarify that it works with 84?
I'll continue with version 80 for the time being and see if the battery is affected any more than it was on my Nexus 6P which was extremely minimal.
I've also noticed that android pay opens as expected.
I'm currently using LD with systemless root.
Update, with v 80, no excessive drain at all, I'm on exactly what I was on prior to installing it, will test overnight. I'm guessing 2% overnight.

Haha htc I only just realised, youve renamed a zip to an apk? That's not going to install mate, Im guessing youve got a zip which will be the framework, that needs to be installed in recovery, then install the alpha build via the phone using a file manager.
Or just follow my guide.
All 3 files are (when I download them) .zip files.
The "the alpha apk" (XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.zip) will not (as you suggest in point 4) install as .zip file!
The Xposed Framework has been installed/flashed (as suggested in point 5) by using recovery.

Wrong. The first file you download is the APK. Not a zip.

I just downloaded it from the OP and it's an apk, so not sure what you're talking about mate.

Download it from your phone mate..
To be honest, always download from the source of the device if it can be installed from that device. In this case a PC is not needed.. I imagine that if I downloaded this from my PC it would also be an apk.. Not sure why you're getting a zip.
If you open the zip on your pc what's inside it?
I have several phones here. So downloading to pc is easier for me to install it to the other phones.
Inside the zip file I see the apk layout. Ie. Assets, META- INF, res, androidManifest.xml. Basicly an .apk file.
That's why I renamed the zip to .apk
Problem for me is not installing the file. Problem is that it crashes when running it.
Anyway... I'm going to install a custom rom later this week, so problem will be solved.

Sorry I'm not sure how many different ways i can say it. The original file I posted is an apk.
And I do not know how many different ways I can say this, but they all download as a zip file for me in IE.
That's it. I'm out of here..

TY for this. I had it working 100% on Android 11, but figured I was lost on 12. Only issue I've had is it constantly thinks I'm connected to my car radio's BT after I disconnect, so profiles aren't perfect, but I missed V4Android. Sound quality is night vs day.
Hi there,
after several other methods this one helped me to solve the driver problem. Thanks for that!
Still I have the problem that NEON is not activated. Is there any solution to be found anywhere?
I am using the Oneplus Nord 2T with Oxygen OS Android 12.
EDIT: found solution.
This worked fine for me on OOS13, it works in all apps when the legacy mode is on. However after doing this whole procedure, Dolby Atmos no longer works (at least on the integrated speakers, which is what I only tested)
Didn't work. After replacing files Viper driver is installed loop (OnePlus 10 Pro, OOS 13, C20 (EU))

Hey guy i installed viper works but when i try to use the Convolver and than i click on impulse response. I get this message on the bottom. Anyway to fix this.
The presets install into a different folder. You have to manually move them over to where Viper is telling you it can't find them. Oddly enough, I had to use Terminal to move them. Even Root Explorer with SU permissions got a r/w denial.

I believe its a weird permissions error. There's a guide to getting these to work in the main Viper4Android thread here on XDA.

So far nothing i have done has fixed the impulse problem says its not there but the files are in there.
I don't have the link, but Google for Viper4Android 2.7 profiles. A guy has a GitHub page where he's updated them all to work with Viper 2.7. I remember having to download those as the old profiles didn't seem to be recognized.

So afterman trys i was able to get the convolver and impulse response to work. One last question on my old one plus 7 pro i have viper installed with a rom on it and i have this layout wanted to know where i could find this version. Also Its the same version i am using but the layout is different.
I can't spot a difference in the two images. It won't enable though until you toggle the Master Power button to on.

General KernelSU works fine on OnePlus11. You can get root.

What is kernelSU? I'm wondering if Magisk works on it, it SHOULD being that it's just a patched boot image. But I'm curious to know

A new root solution? Does Magisk not work on the OnePlus 11 or are they both viable options? I'm confused now.

A new root solution, can run with Magisk at the same time.
Because when I just got the phone, there was no TWRP and ZIP flashing package. I'm having a hard time installing Magisk directly. But after I gave Magisk Manager Root permission with KernelSU, I installed Magisk directly.

When you root with magisk. You need to unlock the bootloader. Then install magisk manager app. Pull your stock boit.img from stock firmware and put it on phone. Open magisk manager and select install then patch boot.img . Then copy the generated image magisk patched image to computer adb folder. Then reboot phone to fastboot. On computer type fastboot boot (name of patched boot.img).img phone will reboot and have root. Go back to magisk and select direct install then reboot.

No. I never exported boot.img or boot_init.img from my phone. There is also no unpacking payload.bin to extract them. After installing KernelSU and KernalSU Manager, I use KernelSU to give Magisk Manager a root privilege. Magisk Manager will automatically install Magisk.
In addition, Magisk needs to patch boot_init.img in devices pre-installed with Android 13, and the flash command is also fastboot flash boot_inti boot_init.img.

I installed Magisk and KernelSU at the same time, so I can't test the APP for you. But in theory, KernelSU uses a whitelist system, and unauthorized software cannot detect the existence of the su file.

For devices that support GKI 2.0, you can directly download the corresponding version of boot.img from Github Action to flash in.

can you lock the bootloader while you have kernelSU? as the app is checking the bootloader status?

KernelSU for Nubia Z17 Based on Android 13
Overview of KernelSU
KernelSU is working in Linux kernel mode, it has more control over userspace applications.
Only App that is granted root permission can access `su`, other apps cannot perceive su.
KernelSU supports modify /system systemlessly by overlayfs, it can even make system writable.
More information: KernelSU Official Website
If you do not use modules or only use simple modules, KernelSU is not detected by default. You don't need to worry about hiding root, because the default is hiding.
(As shown in Figure 3, "Zygisk on KernelSU" module will let you loss hidden root.)
Choose one of the two download methods
Download(Github release)(stable)
Kernel HERE (Include a default one and a permissive one for GSI user)
Manager APK HERE (just download apk like this KernelSU_v0.5.7_10866-release.apk)
Notice that: I tested the Github release kernel and I wrote the system I used.
Please use the same system
(Optinal, but if you have bug may be your system is not match to my kernel)
Download(not recommend)(GitHub actions)(latest)
Kernel HERE
Manager APK HERE
Install Guide
Backup your boot.img, If something wrong, flash your original boot.img. You can get it in /dev/block/by-name/boot or your ROM.zip.
For nubia z17 (nx563j), It may work on
LineageOS 20.0(may work)
PixelExperiencePlus13(I tested)
other ROMs based on LineageOS 20.0 kernel(may work)
Use TWRP flash the kernel(boot.img) given by me.
OR use "fastboot flash boot boot.img" flash the kernel(boot.img) given by me.
Install the KernelSU's manager.apk.
Enjoy it.
Thanks

As shown in figure 3.
Use zygisk on kernelsu https://github.com/Dr-TSNG/ZygiskOnKernelSU/releases
And lsposed on zygisk (zygisk version) (not riru) https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPosed/releases

Maybe the same as Magisk. I install a host module to prevent MIUI update, it just for test. I just copy a module randomly from another phone.
Is it also work on OneUI 5.1? I have that kernel name: 5.15.41-android 13-8-25800099-abS918BXXU1AWC8 #1 Fri Mar 24 09:14:54 UTC 2023
My device is Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
Thanks in advance

这个文件boot_permissive,只要是A13 phh GSI,都可以起到permissive的作用,且不会出现开机红色警告。对于Nippon GSI和谷歌A14 GSI,没有刷这个文件,也会出现开机红色警告,我想这个与permissive无关。
This file boot_permissive, as long as it is A13 phh GSI, can play the role of permissive, and there will be no red warning when booting. For Nippon GSI and Google A14 GSI, if this file is not flashed, there will be a red warning when booting up. I think this has nothing to do with permissive.
