The latest 4.8 version (and all future versions) have FBE (file based encryption) enabled, which is easier to work with and use than traditional FDE (full disk encryption) in previous Android versions. Because of this change, you MUST use the FBE enabled TWRP recovery linked above in order to access your files in recovery mode. In case you missed it, here is the link again:
FBE enabled TWRP: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664781632
If you are coming from a 3.18 based ROM (you probably will be) you MUST format your internal storage directly after flashing the ROM. Backup anything important first.

Very special thanks to @xNombre who did the original work porting 4.4 to gemini.

new Android

We(speaking for mi5 community) already have havoc unofficial. The developer update every time havoc release an update, and there is q already avaible. We are testing 4.4 version too, so I don't see any people crying out for havoc on gemini. Thanks.

Maybe you're not on telegram, where someone asks every 5 minutes when gemini version is coming out. I see you have unofficial 2.9 but I don't see 3.0 here. I know of the "Havoc-Gemini" repo and I also know why your maintainer got booted from official. I have no opinion on the subject, it's not my place to comment. I'm also well aware of the 4.4 kernel port, I've been working with xNombre to try and port it to lithium.
The whole point of open source is that it's supposed to drive innovation and collaboration by working together to achieve our goals. I learned a lot about Android by porting the formerly gemini only Syberia to lithium. I didn't want to just take advantage of that knowledge and run off with it, I wanted to give something back to the community that helped me in the beginning.
I seriously doubt that you with your single post on XDA forums speak for the whole Mi5 community, but if any other dev wants to collaborate with me or wants me to take this down then I'm happy to accommodate them.
Have a nice day

Please do give update for v3. We all are very thankfull to you. And GOD bless you.

Thank you!

Thanks for porting this ROM. Also I read the announcement (for the mi mix) that the device should clean install. Is that also apply on this port ROM?

If coming from Pie, then most definitely clean flash. If you have another devs v3 build a dirty flash might work, but I would still recommend a clean flash as the device trees will be different. Google drive backup does a very good job of backing up all your apps and settings, so if you clean flash and sign in to your Google account the setup wizard will get restore everything :good:

Can you make this rom for mi5s (capricorn)?

Thanks, keep updating via xda pls.
one user mentioning Telegram is odd. if other devs decided not to share via Xda why a mere user have the rights to question who is willing to share via XDA. odd.
regardless, so far everything works. I am ok with permissive se-linux.
Dolby digital Plus and EdExposed working out of the box. ANT also working.
thank you

Wow, wonderfull bro. Please keep updating in here. Thank you so much for your care

Sir is your build based on android_r9? Cause quickswitch just doesn't work and all launchers are able to use gestures even if they are not the default launcher
It does take a while for me to figure it out, and I'm trying to confirm my guess??

This ROM is fantastic! Incredibly smooth with Bitgapps and starting very quickly.
Everything's working: bluetooth, wifi, data, fast-charging...will test and report about Screen Cast later.
In next releases I'd love to be able to switch a single SIMcard off.
However congratulations...and thank you for this!!!

Someone said it doesn't work. I will try and look into it, but I can't test this because my carrier locks VoLTE to their own branded phones.

Yes, based on r9. Personally I use Lawnchair with gestures enabled. I guess you will have to wait for quickswitch to be updated for r9

"VoLTE ", its not a bug, but a feature thats not implemented
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Marshmallow. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Yes

Yes
What's with the root in this ROM?
LineageOS have dropped prerooted roms in favor of a separate root addon. It is the one linked in the first post. This is managed in "Developer options" after you've flashed it.

Doesn't have pocket mode, kernel is KronicCore
Update: actually one user reported that now VILTE is not working
He dirty flashed from previous build

The partition scheme is the same as the versions that are TREBLE, so it is necessary to use TWRP and Factory2Vendor but the FLAG is not activated, which indicates that the ROM is TREBLE.

Thanks for explanation mate.
Rom is super smooth and veerry battery friendly...
Also this thread should be in roms section mate, tag some moderator to fix this.
About bugs:
Light during charging (personally don't use it)
No swype left options in settings
Add long tap to home, I always change in vendor/usr/keylayout/fpc1020tp.kl 183 to HOME so I have long tap to home option...
This is beautiful rom, best Oreo rom for our device definitely!

Almost everything except for the things mentioned in the below list (check: What doesnt work)
What doesnt work:
* Selinux is permissive
* You tell me
REMEMBER:
Bug Report Without logs means nothing
No stable gapps package is available as of now for Android 10
Encryption works. It is suggested to encrypt without any pin and set it afterwards. Instead if you want to encrypt with PIN it'll be needed to reboot the device manually once, otherwise it's going to be stuck at the bootlogo
Magisk works but no support for it is officially provided

Eagerly waiting for the next build... Coz volte is really important ?

TESTED
First of all big big thanks to all the devs for bringing this 10 port so early, I can't thank you guys enough,it is always super exciting to test something new and fresh and you guys made it possible, made my day today by bringing fresh android 10,now,here is my review..
1.overall pretty much everything is working well, except for VOLTE which is already in the bug list
2.definitely slower than lineage 17,which i also have tested, arrow has some micro lags here and there and felt somewhat unresponsive at times(it is very early in development so expected, just pointing out that lineage 17 is much smoother)
3.gapps are working,i downloaded gapps from oneplus 6 xda lineage 17 thread someone shared link for custom gapps there, thank you random person
that is it for now, hope some more testers will point out other little things, thank you
Thank you

running smooth here, possibility is that it can happen on first boot after GAPps, just observe it for a while, let it generate cache and let everything settle
and yes, this is early Q so eventually lotta things to improve in future
Really nice! Like I said in the other thread, I hope encryption will soon be fixed on the Android 10 ROMs, I think it's important for security when using an unlocked bootloader. Looking forward to testing the ROM when it has had chance to develop and improve!

Rebooted couple of times - works fine
Toggled airplane mode and toggled it off - works.
Called a few times and switched data sim and switched again to volte sim - works.
This is tested on Jio4G carrier as i only have that to test, i am not sure how VoLTE goes on with Airtel and Vodafone, since they also have 2g/3g network to fallback to, not such major priority.
New update is available!
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ar...-v10.0-z2_plus-OFFICIAL-20190918.zip/download
- VoLTE is fixed
- Bluetooth Audio works properly now
- few other changes/fixes

Two questions:
Does Android Auto work with GAPPS version?
Is Selinux permissive or enforcing?
Thanks!

I use vanilla version with Microg, so I can not tell anything about 1st question.
But for second question it is "enforcing".
With the latest Panda Kernel, this rom is better for me.
Thank you dear @acras1 !

I just downloaded and installed it but it didn't run on my phone which runs Arrow11 Vanilla build, with Microg. But if you install Vanilla version and add gapps, or directly install the Gapps Version of this Arrow rom, I assume you will have no issue with running android auto, it should run.

I tried several custom ROM's in the past (PixelExperience, Havoc, etc) and in all cases Android Auto would tell me it's ready to connect, my phone would be connected to my car via Bluetooth but AA wouldn't connect. It only works in stock ROM for me.
So what i'm really looking for is someone who has managed to use AA on this phone in a custom ROM.
Thanks for your reply but assumptions are not quite enough. No offense.
Dear @acras1 , thanks a lot for this great rom. Using it as my daily driver. It is flawless! Every two days, there comes a new build. Today we received face unlock, which works perfectly. Enforcing, wfd is all okay, fast and smooth! I appreciate you and that Arrow team of yours, thanks.
Can someone tell me please what's the default camera app on this rom?

First of all, thank you for keeping the Mi A2 Lite device active
The website has an error and it's unable to fetch the device list. Also, for newbies like me, it would have been better to add some sort of a "features" page to showcase how Arrow OS is different from the others and what it does better compared to stock Android. For example, Syberia OS has it (like, screen recorder, call recorder, face unlock, etc.).
Thank you!

There are bunch of custom roms with many unique features, but for my case, what keeps me sticked to ArrowOs is that it is bugless and is always up-to-date(it recieves a new build every two days and with every build, there may come new features, like we received face unlock a few builds back). Especially when I install panda kernel, it feels better. I hope this comment may help you with your question.

As it is Community build, it doesn't have OTA. I install it manually in twrp, just dirty flash.
Is there any way to reduce qs tile colums from 4 to 3?
