Hi, I have a BIG problem.
Also if I turn off a sim I received call for that sim.
If I turn off one sim it is because I don't want to be reachable.
Please help

[Q] can anyone still receive calls if they disable the sim slot, using i9192

can anyone still receive calls if they disable the sim slot, using i9192.
The problem.
I have 2 sim card
A = NWmobile
B = China Unicom
whether i put sim A in slot 1 or 2, and having sim B in the other slot, if I disable sim A, somehow calls just comes through, if I do the same with sim B and disable it, the calls does not come through, is it possible this is related to the network, since this only happens with sim A, it does not seem to be the problem with the phone but the sim A.
Has anyone tried this and have the same problem.

Are you also from HK? I got similar SIM cards as yours: NWmobile and China Mobile. If I disable the SIM card, the call cannot go through and it is forwarded to the voicemail.

Same plan as yours.
My China Mobile card has no roaming and so I switch it off when I am in HK. When I travel in China I do the vice versa.
I never enable "Dual SIM ALWAYS ON"

do you think it's the problem with the phone or card, it only happens with the nw card.

Ooops my China Mobile card has only 1 number and enabling SIM ALWAYS ON is meaningless since there is no service.
Perhaps you can call forward your NWM to CHU and vice versa when you cross the border as a quick fix. Just add the **21* and ##21# in the phonebook. Not nice but a temporary solution.

I have no idea. To test the NWM card you can put it onto another brand of DUAL SIM phone.
You can also replace the CHU card by another local calling card and see if the same behaviour persists.

happy chinese new year
I think i've sorted it out, it turns out that the "dual sim always on" function had a affect on my china unicom card, and keeps getting a read out fail if i tried to enable it, probably because it does not have a call forwarding function.
I put two different cards in the phone and cleared both cards of all call forwarding, then turn on the "dual sim always on", and it comes out normal, previous I always get fail, now I then turn the "dual sim always on" off, then use both nwmobile and china unicom, now it works normal, as long as I dont touch the always on function on with the china unicom.
thanks for all the help

Hello...
If its asking for SIM pin then possibly you have activated SIM lock feature which prompts the PIN when SIM is put in other phone...Just put the pin and See.... Also Check If IMEI no is displayed correctly by pressing *#06#...

settings-> Networks->dual sim card->call->Cost save mode
I disabled cost save mode, restarted, and still the same....always using sim1 when dialing
contact ......... edit .............. cost save mode........... select sim 1 or 2 ...........
go to the call screen. on the bottom right hand side, you would see an icon which means switch SIM. click on this, and your phone would start using the other SIM as default.

This is not an Active Dual-Sim phone, so you can't because the hardware doesn't exist on the device, but you can always use smart forward which automatically forwards your other sim to your online one
How does smart forward work ?
Was under the impression that forwarding had to be set up with the ISP as the phone does not even know when an incoming call on the other sim arrives or am i wrong.
enable smart forwarding in your phone.. it will atleast show "callwaiting" to your caller when you're already in a call

If u use the 2nd sim for dat, it has to be switched on, so... Anyone will call it.. Unless you use call blacklisting to block all calls on that sim...
The only options are to block all calls to the data SIM or not to give out the phone number to people. Another option is to find an application that can limit the network on the data SIM to 4G only.
