Hi, i am wondering if anyone is using Google Audio Recorder from pixel 4 and if you are able to keep recording while screen is off.
My problem is that while using Google Recorder, the app would pause recording indicating "Cant record audio, another app is using mic" when screen is off. This would not happen with other audio recording app. I tried taking the app off battery optimisation but does not work.
Any ideas?

I use a lot of voice recording but having screen on will drain battery very fast. Do you know any apps like Resco.Voice Recorder for Android which records while screen is off?

I am using Livo Recording. You can turn off screen and it still records
Thanks for replying buddy, however when I turn the screen off, it looks like it's recording but the timer pauses, so it doesn't record really when screen is off!
Are you on Eclair? Froyo JP6 does seem to continue recording when the screen is turned off.
Yeah! I'm on Eclair! Maybe that's the point! But today I found an app which seems to be recording when screen is off, TapeMachine! The quality is surprisingly good!
I use the firmware Eclair and continues to record even with the screen turned off.

TapeMachine does what I need just fine! I recommend it to everybody with same problem!

I tried a call recording app in the market, but it only recorded my voice. Are there any good call recording apps that record both my voice and the other?

I believe you can record calls from within google voice. I believe if you press 4 on the numpad while in the call it will record it.
As for an app that records calls, I do not know of any that will record a call not on speaker phone. Your best option may be to use a sound recording program with the call you want to record on speakerphone.
Look in apps and themes section. There is a mod to get 2 way call recording on desire z. I've tried but didn't work for me, however I have a g2 and not sure if that was why.

Hi All,
Can some one suggest the best auto call recorder for N7100 ?
I downloaded the famous Auto Call Recorder with the reddish symbol and recorded some calls.But when I listened to the recorded calls the output voice was unintelligible and just squeaking noise some what like Donald Duck.
I have no idea why this is so but so far I haven't been able to record any call.
By the way I recorded in .AMR format.

I Have calll recorder app in my samsung note 3 mobile. Its work fine but some of the incoming call recording does not open the player. It has some problem. Plz help me how to troublahoot it
I activated the "OK Google on any screen" option on my LG Optimus G Pro with KitKat 4.4.2. Works without a problem. But it prevents the video recorder from working. Video recorder will open but when the record button is pushed I get this error message: "Cannot start recording while other application is using audio." When I uncheck the OK Google any screen option the video recorder once again works. Anyone else experiencing this behavior? I find it hard to believe Google would provide this OK Google option while allowing it to screw up the use of other applications. But then again...

Noticed this after I saw your post.
Issue is with video recording in the stock camera only though, Google camera works
When I record audio alone using any audio recorders, the audio is fine. But when using the inbuilt camera to record video, the audio volume is too low.
Turns out issue was from a call recording app. Have root and use boldbeast app to record calls. Tweaked some settings in it and audio in video recordings are normal now ?
