Suppliers don't carry Pixel C battery replacements anymore??? - Pixel C Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ive been searching everywhere on the net for a battery replacement and nothing has come up. My pixel C screen was lifting so I removed the screen to find the battery corroding and expanding. The battery must be replaced but I think there are none available anymore. This could be the end for the Pixel C and its too bad. These tablets are still ahead of 90% of all tablets tested by 3dMark. This is still a very viable tablet and without replacement batteries available, its not a good sign.

Yes I have searched ebay, aliexpress and much much more. I went through 40+ google results and tried to add to cart or inquire regarding this specific battery. As far as I can tell there are none anywhere and no one is making an aftermarket battery. Unless someone is up for the challenge to prove me wrong.

Im still looking for a replacement battery for the Google Pixel C. There seems to be none left in the world.

Has anyone found a place to buy batteries for the Google Pixel C ? Please PM me.

The guys here https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/nexus-7-2013-qa/replacement-battery-t3405361 had some interesting ideas about replacement batteries for the nexus 7. Obviously a bit of legwork will be required to get something workable for the C but it shouldn't be insurmountable.
So what are the actual dimensions of the battery components on the pixel c?

Seems available here:
https://www.battery-store.eu/laptopcomputer/1004291.htm

Well, hey, on this battery search, let us know if you find any screens!

From a thread on ifixit..
Regarding replacement batteries, you will find that OEM replacement-anythings are not produced or sold for any devices anymore, since the cost to employ repair technicians is now greater than the cost of producing a new device everywhere in the world. As a consequence, all replacement parts sold are stripped from existing devices. Because of this fact, the longer a device has been out of production, the less likely the possibility that you will find any wear and tear items in as-new condition. For screens, you will increasingly only find replacements that were polished to have scratches removed — along with the Gorilla coating (making them much more likely to collect grime and crack). For the Nexus 9, you will realistically not find a replacement battery with more, or even the same remaining capacity, vs the one you’re replacing. Again, keep in mind: we’re talking probabilities, not absolutes. Your friend may get a good part from a place one day and you won’t, the next day (or vice versa).
[/unquote]
I'm looking at a way to remove the battery totally from the C and power it by an external power bank or the charger. The nexus 7 users came up with a mod to accomplish this to use the device powered by a car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9N2Bh4fI8Bo. Nexus 9, which has a similar setup to the C(dual batteries) has a thread here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-9/help/nexus-9-battery-mod-t3798212
I plan on doing something similar for the C but won't be able to get it done for a number of months due to circumstances beyond my control. Also, I'm not severely hindered as when my first C battery became swollen, Google sent me a refurbished replacement. Well, actually Google screwed up and sent me two replacements(same tracking number, 2 different packages), and only one of them currently has a swollen battery...
If anyone is desperate, and maybe a bit less electronically challenged than I am, they can have a go at this, otherwise we can wait till later and I'll give it a shot.

[Q] Is it worth buying the phone now?

So I searched for a partner for my nexus 7(2013) , all I wanted is a cheap small smartphone with a keyboard and an oled display mainly for chatting and listening to music.
Are there any good custom roms with active display(and locksreen notifications) ? It doesn't matter if the android version is a bit older...
And how long does the battery last?
Thanks in advance!
I recommend a Samsung galaxy relay 4g if you want a smartphone with qwerty...

Don't know something about galaxy relay, but captivate glide is solid phone. There are Android 4.4 roms that support active display and lockscreen notifications (PAC and gtsarav's CM 11 edition). Very stable, minimum issues (Bluetooth headset is not working, Skype calls too, but there's workaround for second). Battery life is 5-6 hours of active web surfing, 3-4 hours of active gaming. In other words, it will last a day. I have spare battery for emergencies. OLED screen is a battery eater though.
I'm from Ukraine, bought this phone a bit used for a 1/4 price of galaxy S4 and totally satisfied.

Gesendet von meinem Nexus 7 mit Tapatalk
As I said, I bought it used, so it was from the auction-type market like ebay (in Ukraine it called aukro.ua ). Shipping cost was minimal (2$) because the phone was already in my country. The previous user travelled with the phone from USA, it seems. Maybe, I just was lucky.

You can buy i927 on polish analog of eBay - allegro.pl, but I'm not sure if they ship to other countries, you would have to ask. Price is about 200$ + 10$ shipping (might be expensive to ship abroad)
EDIT: At least one of sellers agrees to ship abroad and BTW allegro and aukro have same owner.
EDIT2: after reading comments i think they are shipping from china so it might take up to 2-months to ship it to you, so you should search for another shop.

Never had a problem with missed calls. Currently used latest CM 11 by bubor. Never flashed baseband specifically, so assume it's default one.
BTW, I bought it for 175$ a year ago. Of course, it was bit used one, but 200$ for this phone now is overpriced, I guess. Just looked at aukro and found a new captivate glide for 150$ with free shipping to Ukraine from China.

You pay to aliexpress, and it releases your money to seller, when you click "received item".

Yes.. I live in Germany and have and can recommend the Glide
Works like a charme for me (based on sediROM v1.0)
I bought it on eBay in the US. Well even it is a risc but paid via PayPal and choosed the fastest shipment to get it in paypal protection time.
I do not know this seller here (I bought from another one) but you could take a look on this (eypecially the user rating ):
hxxp://ebay.com/itm/Samsung-SGH-I927-Captivate-Glide-8MP-Black-AT-T-Android-4G-Keyboard-Smartphone-/301011731256?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item4615b28338 (replace the hxxp with http - sorry for that but XDA does not allow links for me)
if the above do not work search for the eBay item# 301011731256
You have other options like that of course when the seller do not deliver to Germany (the above does). You can use a import company which is very easy and not so expensive as one may thought. I haven't used that one here yet but I may need it in the next weeks to import a LG Optimus F3Q (nice phone but that is for my wife - I'm happy with the Glide). Take a look on them - again without any warranty but they seem to be trustworthy: borderlinx (as said sorry cannot paste direct URL)
You only need to ensure(!) that the package has a correct invoice available on the outer site(!) because otherwise it will get complicated at the duty!!!!
I bought it for 150 US $ plus 60 US $ delivery costs (sigh) plus (I believe) 20-30 € for duty
If you want to have a current Android phone with physical keyboard and you can live without special Umlauts keys that phone is the best IMO.

Spare battery

Somebody found on stores a spare original battery? I bought this phone since I can swap batteries, but I can't find them
I know it could be early, but in USA they are giving them away and samsung has spare batteries same day they relesed the phones :-/
Thank you
My experieince with a ton of Samsung phones is that I have to wait a month or even more to order a spare battery kit (Note4, Note3, etc). Thats if I buy one at release.
Have you tried a Verizon store? My local VZ store had them in stock. If you arent US, ebay has them for around 30$ USD with cradle, but they are shipped from Korea.

Anyhow it's alittle bit that the phone was released!

Maybe something like www.myukmailbox.com and similar
Got one Tuesday after much fussing. First one had a power button issue and the second was the last in stock. I have a very small hairline scratch at the top but not on the actual display itself. I have just ordered a screen protector and case as not *ONE* (high street) shop in the UK appears to sell any accessories for this phone that I could find. So I have been using it bare. The scratchy plastic front lens is a bit of a pain for me as I have an HTC One M7 that has never had a screen protector on it in over 3(?) years and has not one scratch on it. Some minor niggles. The scratch prone nature of the lens obviously. The Android soft keys take up room on the screen and requires root to sort out (I am a bit shy about doing that right away). The lack of a charging LED when connected other than if you run it down to 0%. A fingerprint scanner would have been nice as well as the sensor that the S6 has to monitor things like heart rate. I can't seem to get Nova Launcher to work properly on it either (post Marshmallow and after updating). Not sure if that required root or not on my HTC though. I can see myself rooting it at some point but I will probably need some hand holding in order to do it.
In all other regards it's a steal!

Nova working fine for me too.
Turns out something changed for the camera app launcher (The one on the bottom was different to the default launcher on Googles Launcher). I was getting a photo app error when using it in Nova ('Photos has stopped working unfortunately' or something like that). I changed the icon to the Camera icon shown in the default launcher and it works now. I think I must have installed Google Plus or something whilst running Nova and it changed the Camera launching app. Only the default camera launcher seems to work with Nova on Marshmallow (what is that Quickpic? Will have to investigate). Also I don't think Nova likes the 'Hide System Bar' app on unrooted phones.

G4 battery in Europe

Anyone satisfied with a G4 battery purchase in Europe?
Been reading the battery threads here in xda, seems you can get some good batteries but only in the US.
Getting a non fake battery is not as easy as it seems, so, is there anyone who got a good battery (via e-shopping, eBay preferably) in Europe? By good I mean either true original or performing at least like the stock one.
If you go to My Thread look at the bottom of First Post and I have listed Batteries there
I have bougth this one on aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/0.html?orderId=82125088041602&productId=32664650213

Yes, your thread is well known, but there's one more thing I should have mentioned: I have the black leather back which I love and don't want to change.
So that rules out most of the batteries in that thread since they need custom covers.
The few that are labeled slim do not ship to Europe (links from the 1st post, don't know if there's more links later in the thread which is quite big)
Thanks anyway.

Hmm sad they don't ship there. How much you think it'd cost to ship?
A few cases I've seen with batteries that are already available in both Europe and US (mostly fake ones typically marked as original in bulk form) the shipping varies from $10 onwards.
Maybe I would pay that shipping cost for a battery like the TQTHL for which many say is very good, but the problem is noone ships to Europe.

Wow thanks man, but what if the battery is problematic or something? I mean, I would have to send it back to you, effectively paying shipping back and forth, which would probably cost me more than the battery itself, and that is IF you would invest the time in such a situation.
For now I just thank you for your gesture. I will search a bit more, and if I find nothing promising maybe I'll ask you if you would still do it. In any case thank you!

Sorry, had a closer look and it states that the item is currently not available to purchase.
did not found another in aliexpress.
That was the case also for me, but someday it was available. Maybe you have to wait and search sometimes...

Yeah just notice. Sad it is
Look at this ONE
Edit: just notice it was a 2pcs set. Just look for a 1pcs

Seems to be original, if you need it.
Yes it seems so (as one reviewer also says), but reviews after some time after purchase would be good. The net is full of 'original' batteries and people reviewing them the day they bought them, yet I still strive to find a battery I won't be returning as totally useless even for other phones of mine.
I am starting to think it's some kind of worldwide quality cells shortage ?
Try Polarcell battery on ebay.de from Wannsee-Electronic GmbH !
Using it for 3 months getting maybe 10% more juice from it .
Buy one of those charging kits that LG gave out

That's a good I idea cause I seem to get 2HRs more of SOT with my default batteries.
I got mine from https://batterionline.no/batteri-til-bl-a-lg-g4-originalt
They have 12 moths guarantee and insurance for malfunctioning batteries (they actually takes responsibility if your device is broken from one of their batteries)
Might be Norway only tho
I never considerd the origins of the battery made any difference. I use this and I'm happy with it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3800mAh-Ers...Mbuynow-Neu-/272619540846?hash=item3f7964116e
I know it's for the 818 but it fits well and works flawlessly.

It's not the origin, it's the destination. What good is a battery that the seller won't ship to the potential buyer's country?
Thanks for the feedback.
How long have you been using this battery? Does it last the same as the original when it was new ?

First to own ZeroLemon charging case for the g6 maybe?..

I bought the case tuesday 7/25/17 from the official website and go it 7/26/17. I haven't seen no posts about it yet so I think I may be the first to own one, I don't know. But I absolutely love the design. I bet you guys won't be disappointed

Sorry to burst your bubble but you're not the first to own it. At least three other people own it now, including me. And on another forum there is a 9 page active thread about it.

The weight of the case is turning me off but I'll give it a few more days to get used to it.
I bought mine from Amazon and my review is the second one on there [emoji41]

Oh my that PowerBear case was horrid

I never owned a Powerbear and didn't hear the best things but I liked how they were a medium capacity and not Max capacity battery case. Zero lemon goes all out which is great but I'd rather have like a 3500-5000 mAh battery case than the 8000 one. That one is nice nonetheless.
