Create a folder in internal storage named "GCam" and inside it a folder named "configs" and paste the file
Then you open the Gcam app and 2 click on the bottom of the camera button On the black part and select the XLM

Replace Scanning Media icon

Does anyone know how to replace that media scanning white sd card with a blue cog wheel icon?
No takers?
I'm hoping to replace it with attached png? Drew it myself... I wonder if you can make it animated? hmmm... If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks
Metamorph should do the job. Just need to locate where the original png is.
Hi guys, i've tried to edit my framework with other media icon, but when I reload media there is ever the same icon, that one with white sd card with a blue cog wheel icon.
Someone know where is located the ICON?

No, I used winrar to open the apk and replaced the image. Then I made a update.zip put it in there and flashed it with cwm.

[MOD]Remove facebook images in gallery

Hello again! I would like to share another mod that will remove the annoying facebook pictures when you open your gallery.
By default whenever you are logged in to facebook the HTC Gallery app would download all the profile pictures of your friends and show it in the main window of your gallery thus cluttering the main window of your gallery with pictures that you don't even own. What this mod will do is disable the gallery app from pulling the pictures and instead you will be shown only the default rectangular social thumbnail.
Now why didn't I remove it totally?
The thumbnail still has a purpose. Instead of the gallery directly showing up the facebook images right when you open the gallery app with this mod it is only shown when you click open the rectangular social thumbnail.
Sorry can't post screenshots as this would be breaking the privacy of my friends that will be shown if ever I post screenshots. Just test and give feedback :good:
And for those who want to include this in their custom ROMs. Feel free to do so No need to ask for permission nor I require you guys to give credits to me. Just pull the APK and thats it! No strings attached
Edit: Sorry guys got a typo in the updater script so it failed to install. Already fixed it now.
Edit: Updated installer script.
Download this for the modded gallery.

Umh, i opened zip, there is an issue at the first string so:
- Open the zip wit 7zip or other
- Go to: "META-INF/com/google/android
- Open the "updater-script" with notepad++ or another editor
- Replace this line with the first
Code:
ui_print("HTC Gallery patch");
- Close the editor
- Save all
- Flash it
You can also do this:
- Download the apk from here or here, or extract it from zip
- Put into you fastboot/adb folder (you can download it from here)
- Connect the phone at pc with debug usb enabled
- Open a cmd or terminal and move to the folder (cd dir_of_folder)
- Type:
Code:
adb push HTCAlbum.apk system/app
- Open the gallery
- Done!

Replace which line with what? A little confusing.
Also, couldn't you extract the .apk and use Root Explorer to move it to System?

In the updater-script, replace my line with the first of the txt.
However, you can extract and copy/paste it, but with adb is more faster

The first line missing one double quote ("). Just add that quote to make the line looks like ui_print("HTC Gallery patch"); then you're set.

I never removed the friends folder for the sole reason that when logged in to facebook or flickr you could still view your friend's images in there. My main intention of doing this is to organize those messy pics that shows up in the main gallery window when you open it ands instead place it inside the friends folder. Anyways I'll try to update this thread and upload a modded one with the social plugin totally disabled when I get free time.

what about an xposed version?
I don't use nor know how to use xposed so better off asking some devs on doing this. Just tell them to download the APK and diff it. The change is pretty simple.

[TUTORIAL] Change App Icons In Touchwiz

Hey Friends,
This is a little Tutorial about changing app icons permanently. There was a lot of applications available in Playstore like
“ icon changer free” etc etc to change the app icons. But the problem is that u cant use that changed apps in ur app drawer. U can only use that in ur home screen as a shortcut.
So I just decided to put a little tutorial to do that easily. I know everybody will know this already. But it will help for someone I am sure….
TOOLS NEEDED..!!
1.Photoshop(Ps)
2.a flashable zip
3.root explorer on your phone
4.7-zip
STEPS-
1) Get some cool icons from my xperia z icons pack - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287388 and save it to your pc.
Edit: If u need some cool Galaxy S4 icons Download it from Here - http://www.mediafire.com/download/k2522edgik21tp1/GS+4+Icons.zip
2) Whichever app icon you want to mod say the "video player",just copy it's apk from /system/app/<apk_name>.apk
and paste it to sdcard.
3) Now transfer this apk to your pc and extract it using 7-zip.
4) Now look for the app icon the file name maybe in drawable-hdpi and drawable-sw320dp-hdpi under res.."video",or"homescreen_icon" or anything...
5) When you find it just right click on it and click properties under the details tab check it's dimension something like"84X84","42X42","50X48"
6) Alright then you know the app icon dimension now.
7) Now save the image as <app_icon_name>.png on the desktop(make sure the name is proper)
8) Open the apk with 7-zip
9) Now drag and drop this image from the desktop to the folder drawable-hdpi and drawable-sw320-hdpi
and click yes when the prompt appears and close 7-zip
10) Open any flashable zip and don't touch anything except the system folder.
11) Open the system folder and keep only the app folder delete other folders in this app folder copy your "video.apk" and delete other apks if present.
12) Now close the flashable zip and send it to your phone ext _sdcard and flash it by mounting system...and you are done!!
Hit thanks if you got it !!:good:

Same procedure as mentioned above.
Copy that apk on pc open it with 7 zip and follow the procedure.
Besides drawable-hdpi and drawable-sw320dp-hdpi folders, icons are located in mipmap-hdpi folder in most apps. And they are mostly named as ic_launcher_appname.png, so change this png to change icon of that app.

Decompile the app. I think its in a folder called /raw (something like that)
Thanks man, had the -.apk file renamed to -.apk.zip and extracted from PC, there it goes everything needed in the extracted folder!
I think some apk can't change by doing that things, just like those apk is need some Sign to it. So, its recommend to decompile those apk first with apktools.
