TWRP 3 supports themes & you can change language with the themes.......

I hope to see an AOSP or CM for MI 5 one day.
I tried this version, but still mi5 have full data encryption by default you will not be able to read any partition with that recovery.
You should try this one who ask the encryption password :
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B95J_je8rRN0V1Y2T2o0Mlh2R1E/view?usp=docslist_api
Your 1st lockscreen password (in some case) is the password. PIN should work too.
If you had set a Pattern, you are in the ****.
Personally, I can't perform a backup because I don't know my password, and I didn't find a way to disable the encryption.
By the way, all version of twrp 3 are multilingual.
You don't need any theme.
Any ideas?

The Chinese guys have two TWRP one by GanFan and one by cofface.
I liked GanFan's version more, he also has additional files on his baidu cloud, have a look at it.

Google translated: Updated V7.2.7 patch used to encrypt data and the prohibition of forced sdcard partition
Translating Chinese 1:1 isn't the best approach; but with some imagination that sentence could mean: updated 7.2.7 to prevent enforced sdcard partition encryption.
If you have time it might be worth to look into GanFan's work.

Do you think that I should be on 7.2.7 ROM to get this twrp perfectly working or the dev ROM 6.3.17 is good too? I'm on the 6.3.17 now with Unlocked BL.
Can you access sdcard files with GanFan recovery?
Thanks.
Edit :
I think yes, your link is for the same recovery that I shared with you on GoogleDrive. So, when I boot in, I cancel the password request, I can see that the recovery recognize all my partition when I try to make a backup, but all functions failed. No way to flash a file.
He can't read the SD card. So I think you should be on 7.2.7.2 to get this working. (GLOBAL ROM)

If I try to enter the twrp Recovery I always come to the screen where I see a Smartphone and a cable. The only way I can access the twrp is the command in fastboot Mode "fastboot boot *.IMG" Has anyone an idea how to enter twrp with vol+ and power?

I just hold vol up and power and it goes to twrp. Another way is to do it from the update app. There is an option to boot to recovery
An update to the TWRP has been posted here:

The xiaomi mi5 factory recovery don't have interface , only a image of a smartphone and a cable.
You are already on recovery but is not usable, you need twrp .
They disabled the recovery interface for security reasons...
Guys, here you can find the official twrp for our Mi5, no bug sobfar, because the last one was still buggy with the touchscreen, here you can backup a lot of secret partition... ( almost 30+), and when you wanna make a backup of your data, he read correctly what he need to backup, not the entire SD... just try.....

This one still could not decrypt my data partition.

Can I flash RR on an encrypted device?

As has been mentioned in the thread, I have my one plus 3 encrypted ( Oxygen OS 4.1.6 ) encrypted, Can I flash lineage OS or RR without unencrypt my phone?
Sure. I've tried many ROMs and always kept encryption.

Yes, as long as you remember the encryption key.
Yeah, absolutely.
To keep OOS encryption DO NOT wipe data via fastboot format/erase command, but ONLY via recovery (like in 99.9% of scenarios).
Unlike @Ozone74 said, there's no encryption key to remember, since Android encryption is based on the used pattern/PIN/password.
I highly suggest, both for security and compatibility reasons, to enable authentication request at bootup.
Otherwise:
1) Recovery could be accessible for everyone;
2) Recovery could be still protected, but unable to unlock.

Well, AFAIK you can change your device PIN/Pattern as many times as you like but the encryption key cannot be change after the initial setup. So he might have changed his PIN/Pattern after encrypting the device but the encryption key will stay the same as the original PIN/Pattern.

You're absolutely wrong!
The encryption is based on latest PIN/pattern/password.
Have you never tried to change authentication method on encrypted phone?

I gave it a test run, since you sounded so confident but it only proved what I already knew.
You cannot decrypt the device with your new PIN and can only be done if the original pin.
My device was originally encrypted with the PIN 1234 and it was the same to unlock my phone too. I changed my device PIN to 0000 and rebooted into TWRP where I was met with the the decryption page. I entered my new PIN 0000 and it failed to decrypt. I then entered my original pin of 1234 and it decrypted.
I think you need to check it out for yourself too.

After installing Magisk to inactive slot and rebooting (9.6.9.0) the phone showed up screen: To start Android, enter your password...
I tried everything... Entering google password, PIN (pattern) and nothing of these worked.
Please help!
Happens here, but after entering correct PIN it just reboots again by itself and boots normally...

Maybe wrong password?
It's correct
I had this on another phone after installing a new rom, never set a password on the phone and I had it from new but the phone wanted one on first boot, none of my passwords or pins worked and I used them all. Only way round it was to completely wipe the phone and then load an earlier rom, Nvram was deleted which caused a few issues as it had the IMEI codes and MAC addresses but had a backup.
Try these methods worked for me when it happened on redmi note 4

Hey, I'm having the same problem, but I don't understand how you solved it? What do you mean by "changing from A to B"?

He booted twrp and switched from slot a to b or he did it via adb shell.
I always solved this problem by just installing the newest ota from miui website (flash all except storage.bat) most likely only
Code:
fastboot flash boot_a "path to boot.img from ota"
fastboot flash boot_b "path to boot.img from ota"
would do it as the problem occurs when an old boot.img is flashed (for example if u didn't take an actual one for magisk...)

hi....
i'm have same issue, but it easy to fix.
just go to recovery and do a factory reset.
hope this will help you
for me ,the solution was installing an original miui rom for my phone, then factory reset in settings
just in case, this post "appuals dot com/delete-android-security-pin/" (can't send links sry ) may help someone(i don't take any responsibility for using that in any purpose .. )
i explained something more at this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81325193&postcount=1321

at another thread, @AndreAPL recommended this fastboot command(i didnt try but may be useful)
Code:
fastboot erase userdata

TWRP Huawei Honor 7x BND-L21

Hello,
I have a Huawei Honor 7x BND-L21 (64GB) and am using firmware 9.1.0194(C432E7R1P1), no root and bootloader is unlocked.
I recently tried to install a TWRP (twrp_Honor_7x.img for the Honor Note 8 EDI-AL10), unfortunately it did not work on my smartphone.
My device started normally but recovery mode showed the following error:
- Func NO: 11(recovery image)
- Error NO: 2 (load failed)
Following this I had to install a system update to correct the problem.
My question: do you have a TWRP compatible with Honor 7x-BND-L21.
Thanks for your help
