IT works very well if you are rooted. You can choose between native call recorder and third apps like skvalex

I use boldbeast recorder, I think there already a topic about call recording

Ditto here, on a stock (non-rooted) Sprint Note 10+ (w/ ASJ2).
BTW, should one take the ASJ8 OTA? Do these devices have locked Bootloaders? I may choose to root my device and don't wish to take an OTA that might lock the BL down.

call recording

I have tried a few call recording apps and all of them only record my voice
Anyone had any joy?
When I've used a recorder on my other phones, I've always used it on speakerphone. That might work.
I don't want to have to use the phone on load speaker
ACR records both side on my Verizon S6.

Hi, this is the case at the moment. We hope Samsung will fix it in future updates.
I would like to hear from US user about call recording to see if it has the same issue
. Ay be it has to do with privacy issues. Most states prohibit recording without the approval or notice to the other person
Call Recorder v5.34 but you must to have root which is also must be given out of the box like we have it on linux, windows !!

Samsung seems to have decided to block the possibility

Hey
I use the Galaxy 9+, and I have the same problem.
At the moment Samsung seems to have decided to block the possibility. The other side can not be recorded in all apps.
I tested this issue in front of the "ACR" and "Boldbeast Recorder"
Very disappointed in Samsung.
And right now I have to go back and use the Galaxy 8
It may be the thing that makes me revert to the oneplus
Try with ACR call recorder. But change in settings to mic input for recording. That should work.

Any call recording solutions for Android P / Pixel 2?

I've been using 'Call Recorder' by skvalex for many years across many devices but it seems like it's no longer working since Pie. Tried a couple others and they're also only recording my side of the conversation only.
Is there anything out there working on non-rooted P?
auto call recorder works perfect. I think call recorder from skvalex works also.
It does not work on Android P.
[KB] Android 9 (P) Call recording issues.
There is no way to record interlocutor's audio properly at the moment. You can use Loud speaker to record both side. All call recording apps will be same., This is not limitation of ACR but Android 9 and the phone.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of.
I hate losing functionality in an update.

I'm using 'Call Recorder' by skvalex on Pie and it works perfectly with root. I don't know if it will work without root though. If you are rooted I will give you what settings that I'm using.

Can you detail what settings your'e using? Because even skvalex himself mentioned Android P doesn't record the other party, only yourself.

I don't know if it makes any difference but I'm rooted with magisk version 16.7-1674. That build can be found in the Flash kernel thread. I'm also using Flash kernel 3.0. Everything else is stock. Call recorder 3.0 with root add-on 2.03-1.
Audio source: Caf
Format: Flac
Everything else is basically default. I attached a few screenshots. Here is a link to a recording with me talking to an answering machine I just uploaded to Google drivehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1eDqtDJzMaZi05l7CdY1fUy8teXm8U4LC/view?usp=drivesdk.
You can hear me talking over it saying hello several times. All my recordings are perfectly clear on both sides.

Doesn't work for me. Same problem as all the other apps, can only hear my side.
"phone recording audio source - voice communication" works for me
Works
ACR on Pie is working fine on my 2 XL, records both sides nice and clear.
Audio Source - Voice_Communication
Recording Format - MP3
Audio Gain - 8DB

This is recording from phone earpiece speaker with gain. All apps can do that. It is not real call recording

I'm simply telling you my phone model, which app I installed and the settings I used.
It recorded both sides of the call, nice and clear, I am able to hear the entire call.
what part of that is not real call recording?

I think you misunderstood me. It might be acceptable for you or someone else. However,cCall is recorded from the earpiece speaker, gain applied. Real call recording is done by getting audio form Android system not from speaker. Hence, it is not real call recording.
Works perfectly on Pie with Pixel 2 XL rooted!

Due privacy laws a lot of countries have it removed .
Can anyone confirm this as working in the UK models? Mine is the BTU Samsung Store version and it doesn't seem to work with ACR v32.7
Download acr "unchanied" app from sites like uptodown .. working on my note 10 plus.. even stores call logs.. but sound is lower due to limitations of android 9... records good if in silent places
Well... this ACR is not working like it did on Oreo but it's better than nothing.
It is per country.
You can enable it with root and editing an xml file.
Can anyone with working ACR please post their settings.
Not working on my UK Note10+ 5G.
Thanks
I am using Total Recall, works ok sound on other side is a little lower but that seems to be standard unless you use root recording. Good luck.

Don't think it is possible with android 9 limitation. Unless your device comes with unlocked call recorder feature.

Can anyone comfirm "Call Recorder - ACR" works with Redmi Note 9 Pro Max?

I want to buy this phone for myself, but before I buy I wanna confirm if ACR works on this phone.

I think android 10 has a feature to block call recorders.

Not possible. You will not able to record calls and you can't do anything to change that. Also none of call recording app will work.
The only way is to use loud speaker and other phone to record call
