Anyone buy the iblades case/extra battery array? - Google Pixel 4 Accessories

I can't post links yet so just search for it on Google. I was hoping for an opinion on this as it looks pretty cool. It is a case that you are able to attach an array of external batteries that also hold sdcards. So it seems you can lots of extra battery life and extra storage by simply attaching it to the case. If no one has tried it yet by the time my phone arrived I will take the plunge and let the forum know how it is

I've been thinking about it but haven't pulled the trigger as I'm hoping Mophie will actually put one out but I may grab this. Not sure yet.

I was looking at it but it seems sketchy with no power output and I can't find any reviews about the charging speed or overall quality. The App seems like a battery drainer

Does anybody have any new info on this? Can you use the case without the app? Does it actually suck a lot of battery?

[Q] Extended battery 3500 mAh dealextreme

Hey guys,
I just got my phone two days ago, but currently my Galaxy S2 just barely makes up 1 day with moderate use. (so no gaming, watching youtube or GPS)
I've been searching for an extended battery to prolong the current use of my phone on one charge, and I found these two options.
Has anyone tried one of these battery's:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/replac...y-cover-set-for-samsung-i9100-galaxy-s2-91182
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/replac...h-back-case-for-samsung-i9100-galaxy-s2-67304
I know someone who purchases stuff from this website regularly so I'm not questioning the safety of the website, only the quality of the battery. And I know its makes the phone thinker, but that's fine for me.
Btw, I've read also the alternative solutions about putting a ROM on the phone, but I'm not good at that so I'd rather get an extended battery.
Though, I'm not sure how safe non-orginal batteries are from Asia.
Anyone have any experience with that? And is there a risk for the phone, or is the only risk that the battery will just suck?
I've previously read these threads about extended batteries:

Any relevant threads that I missed, in order to make a good judgement?
Thanks for your advice!

The only non official battery I would get is Mugen. Or the samsung one.
The Anker ones get 'ok' reviews but there is hardly any proof your better off than stock (although You do get two of them... so that is going to be double the running time).
Have you not tried checking your settings, making sure you dont have any known terrible battery life apps etc etc etc?
When I first got my SGS2 I could run for 24hours straight easily on Wifi most of the time and loads of texts.
I now have around 65% left before bed so no idea what battery life would be like now. but I know you said you dont want to change roms/underclock etc...
I plan on getting the Samsung 2000mAh one when i get bored though.
I was gonna say the same thing- Mugen Power or official ones. Batteries are one thing you do NOT want to bootleg for a plethora of reasons.
Mugan and Seidio batteries are just as bad as the no name brands. They are like Monster Cable, in otherwords ALL BS marketing! www.batteryboss.org has tests. OEM batteries are the best if they make a extended battery or any cheap thing on the net will do, Since they are so cheap you can get double or triple the number of batteries for what you pay for one brand name one
I heard one saying" the man who uses smartphone is a good man, because he must go home and charge the mobile phone every night"
i bought several batteries from here.

Alright, so what settings in particular would you check? I have GPS always turned off, except when I really use the navigation. Screen brightness lowest. Overall I just have the basic apps Office apps, Dropbox, Skype etc. I know there are several apps to "tweak" the phone, but I haven't had time to dig into the whole thing. What ROM do you use, and what tweaking apps? CynoginMod or something? Any quick short tips?
Moreover, I like the functionalities of the basic ROM, and don't know how to put on any different ROM yet, including what the advantages/disadvantages will be.
Though, I love the phone as it is at the moment. Just the battery life is not that great.

I checked the website batteryboss, but it only seems to show tests of old phone models. But is there a certain risk with "bad-quality" batteries, or is the only risk the costs of buying them?

Nice try Luis2012. I'm not surprised you say you got the best service, as it seems you are either the owner or the promoter of that website.
Or is it a coincidence that virtually every single post out of all 19 posts, you recommend a product from that wesbite?
Moreover, I assume both websites "papadigitals, and "digglove", are yours, since they have identical layout and you both promote them as being a satisfied "customer" in virtually every post of yours.

Battery case.

Found this and thought I'd share,
http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/220...I747-L710-T999-I535-R530-White-MCH-I9300-07B/
Plenty of other things on the site but I do remember people enquiring about such a product. May get one myself

That looks scary similar to the Mophie Juicepack Air case for iPhone.
I'd be concerned about the quality, though, especially at that price. And there's no way you'll find a review on that.

Thanks +
been waiting for something like this
but with 3000mAh or more,
Im sure there will be more soon
I have similar but for my Note & better
cos mine is slimmer & doesnt have that Snap top
so can pull it out faster & is slim on the top
& it claims 3000mAh battery on it
but gives me only 70% of refill charge
Note has 2500 & case 3000 still doesnt give one full charge
yours has 2200mAh battery & S3 has 2100mAh on it
wonder how much more juice it will give
Also the lights on bottom get anoying aftre a while
wish it was behind the case
True that, but might get one anyway, as I also have an external power pack and a replaceable battery.
But never thought of those things, thanks for the input
Edit:
thought what the heck and bought one, doesn't exactly cost much. When I get it ( in about two weeks! ) I'll do a little review on it like how much of the battery it can charge etc.
Was thinking about the capacity but I wouldn't want anything much bigger than that tbh

I've just ordered a powerpack with 3200mAh from ebay, (not allowed to post links yet) for the galaxy s3. if you want to have a look at it, search ebay.co.uk for "3200mAh Extra Power Backup Extended Battery Case 4 Samsung Galaxy S3 SIII i9300"
I'll run some test once it arrives (10-25 days delivery)

What i did was drain the full Battery
then charge it with Power case
& see it charges the phone how much, 60/70/80%
On my Note it was just 60/70% not a full charge
I'll never understand why people go this route instead of just carrying a spare battery. It makes your phone look like the hunchback of notre dame.

nice one
Recieved one on the 2200mAh cases yesterday (Power Bank).
(link: h**p://***.ebay.co.uk/itm/2200mAh-Backup-Battery-Charger-Power-Bank-Case-Cover-For-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-I9300-/280916343518?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4167eb3ade)
Charged it up (came about 2/3 full) and then let my S3 run down to flat (quite hard now I'm getting 20 to 22 hours out of it).
Started charging and it got to about 50% in 3 hours before it ran out..
Considering the phone was on and, based on previous discharge rates, was using about 5% an hour, the total charge was about 65% (if i'm being generous).
65% of an S3 battery @ 2100mAh = 1365mAh.....
Not too bothered at the cost (or size - S3 is way too thin as standard for my liking), but was hoping for a lot more from it..... For the bulk it adds, and the fact that you can't sync or charge the phone while the case is on, is a big negative for me....
Maybe my hopes were too high having come from iPhone battery cases which almost lived up to their advertised power ratings as well as allowing you to charge case & phone at the same time and sync through the case....
Just thought I'd share my findings...
Hope it helps others looking for a similar case.
I like the heftier size of the phone after fitting the extended battery, fits my hands much better. I hope that they come up with a flipcase though because obviously the original won't fit anymore. I don't understand people who just buy a case for the back because you can buy another back very easily. The front however is a different question. If you don't protect the glass, it will scratch and can even shatter when you drop the phone.
As often as I am checking/using my phone, it's not worth it to me to get a flip case. I would go mad having to flip it open countless times an hour. A good back case will also (albeit slightly) protect the front

External battery

Has anyone purchased any of those external battery cases yet? I really want to buy one but im scared to commit to a purchase just yet seeing how a lot of batteries out there for this phone seem to be sketchy. So has anyone purchased one that they can recommend ?
bump
Not an answer to your question, but I had been looking around a lot too. There was a 5000+ mAh external battery that listed on Amazon with good reviews... Although it wasn't a case. I ended up purchasing a Goal Zero Nomad 7 and the Guide 10 (combo deal) for my purposes.
Basically, I figured why spend so much on a so so case with so so battery when I could get an inexpensive external charger that worked better for 1/3 the price. Of course, I ended up going with a true solar panel kit since I would be away from an outlet now and then (hiking with GPS). I tested the Nomad 7 in bright, direct sunlight and it charges both my s3 and NT directly, although the directions suggest using the guide 10 as a bridge. I have not tested the guide 10's recharging ability with the S3, other than a quick 2 minute charge check showing that it would actually charge.
Hope someone chimes in with a suggestion more specific to your question. Additionally, I've seem some websites advertise a 4000+ mAh Mugen battery with extended case for the S3, but Mugen does not mention it on a their website... So be weary of false ads.

The battery has part number LG BL-T7. This is the battery that is in the G2 i believe. Also it has already been confirmed the G2 battery is not the same dimensions so it will not fit our N5's.

Yep, didn't notice the BL-T7 before you pointed it out. That said the issue with the T7 was the stepped design that made it thicker. This one appears flat like the T9 that comes in the N5. So there is a possibility if the stepped design wasn't used that the battery could fit.
Personally I have no battery issues, the thing lasts all day for me and then some. However if I ever did have battery issues it would be nice to know there was something to upgrade to.
Seems like too much trouble for a phone that doesn't really have battery problems anyway.

Just because you and I and some others have no issues doesn't mean there's not legions of others who do. Like I said, I have no issues despite medium use, but I know many people that use their phones differently than I who need a beefier battery. Seeing as how it's not too terribly difficult to get to the battery, if there is a 3000mah one that works with our phones, why not let those people who need it use it?
You and I are most assuredly in the minority of people with no battery issues though, of that I'm certain.

But for those people who do need more battery, what's a 3000mah really going to do? Give you another couple hours? They'd be better served getting an external battery that would double their phone time and still only be the size of a tube of lipstick rather than tear their phones apart and void their warranties.

I don't disagree with you, but just playing with numbers, if the phone lasts 10 hours with the 2300, then it would be over 13 hours with a 3000, could be the difference between finding a charger mid day and not worrying about it. For some people the few hours is all the difference so why carry around a charger when you only need a few more?
Again though, I don't disagree with you, it's just that with the immense diversity in the way people use their phones, there isn't an easy solution to apply to all. For some the stock is good, for some a couple extra hours is what they need, and for others they'll need an external battery pack, just all depends on the user and their needs.

Better ask yourself why Google doesn't want you to change the battery.
For me a changeable battery is a must-have. I'm a heavy user, and this is my first Nexus device (since Samsung Galaxies und HTCs). Since it does not have a changeable battery I'm using now a anker power bank which charges the Nexus5 pretty fast. But this does it hurt my Nexus battery? What if my Nexus battery is crap? Looking at my old S3 und old HTC devices this happend to me.
Looks like the seller is under the impression that the nexus 5 32gb came with a 3000mah battery like some of the rumors suggested. My guess is that the seller isn't up to date with his information. I highly doubt this battery fits......but if someone wants to go for it be my guest and report back please :laugh::laugh::good::good:

This was my thoughts too.
As for the others saying 3000mah wouldn't be worth the swap should watch the iFixit teardown. It is stupid simple to do a 1 time swap. Also my battery generally last the whole day but i have had a few where i needed to plug it in to keep it form prematurely dying on me when i needed to use it. I am a guy that likes to have as little items as possible. I have 2 keys on my key ring, my car, and my house, no bling keychains. So carrying a external power bank is my last choice. While at work i just plug it in when needed, which has been never so far. But on weekends is where i find it falling short as i tend to use the phone more.
tagging along
The problem is going to be, even if someone does make a battery that is compatible with the Nexus 5, its going to be some no name Chinese battery and it will never actually live up to the mah rating that its sold as. So even if they do sell a "3000 mah" battery for the Nexus 5, it would be amazing if the real rating of the battery was even 2500mah. Unless these no name battery companies have really upped their game in the last year or two, they almost never actually deliver the battery capacities that they list.
I personally wouldn't buy batteries from ebay. Too much risk for the amount of savings. Best case scenario is that it doesn't hold the stated charge, worse case is that it explodes on you like so many reports have indicated with people using no name third party accessories.
sorry the link

I've bought two different OEM batteries made in China for my netbook and both are poor quality despite the manufacturer's claims. Unfortunately I could not find any Japanese or Korean cells. I'm not going to gamble on putting an OEM battery inside my Nexus.
Lol. Larger capacity batteries, and in original size? There's no official manufacturer and can only be bought from ebay? Sounds like the various ones mentioned in the other flagship forums, like the S4. The story usually turns out the same. Someone baits desperate readers in, then when buyers get it, a bunch of them come back saying they don't see a difference despite advertised of being +25% larger, calling it a fraud. Larger capacity battery option?

So I've been noticing that my M7's battery drains a good bit faster than it used to. I've been thinking about opening it up and putting a new one in, but I'd like to find one that has a higher capacity than the 2300mah standard one. I have searched on amazon and googled it but I can't find anything larger than the stock charge capacity. Has anybody seen one or know where something like that can be bought from? I did find that HTC actually makes a much higher capacity(3300 mah) for the M8(2600) that fits inside the phone, so that got me hoping that something like it exists for the M7.

There are the battery cases on Amazon, I thought about getting one but they are not cheap.
