I upgrade my redmi note 8 pro to MIUI 11 by update OTA system (chinese version), when it success, my phone restart and boot into fastboot and stuck at fastboot, i try hold power button and volume but i didn't work, i try miflash but it fail because i don't unlock my phone yet, i try unlock but it say must add account to developer option ??? I don't know what to do to fix it, i didn't set up rom cook or something, why my phone can be brick when upgrade by OTA, so confuse, now what can i do to fix it, i don't live near any mi'store. so this my problem:
I got the Mix 2 with the Chinese ROM. With the XiaoMiTool by Francesco Tescari I updated to the Global ROM V9.1.2.0 because I didn't want to wait to unlock the bootloader. This worked but I only had the choice to set China as my region. Since this was a common problem with updating the ROM without unlocking the phone I unlocked it and waited for 3 days to unlock.
Today I installed TWRP and installed the ROM xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMix2_7.11.16_v9-7.1. After this I was stuck with the Mi bootup logo. In TWRP I deleted cache, system, data. This worked EXCEPT for system. I thought updating TWRP to the newest version would help solve this issue. But since I'm new to this I didn't update it within TWRP but just installed the newer version via the commandfastboot flash recovery twrp.img. The result is that I can not get in recovery mode anymore. The only option is fastboot mode or the regular Mi logo endless boot.
What I tried so far: EDL flash method via adb/MiFlash but both don't work. The XiaoMiTool won't work too. The Mi PC Suite won't recognise the phone. When I use the edl.cmd the phone will go black for 2-3s and then return to fastboot.
I guess the problem at this point is that usb debugging is not turned on since TWRP installed the EU ROM and I could never get in it to enable the debug mode.
I couldn't find a solution to solve the boot up problem and can't seem to install/flash a new ROM at this point.
So what can I do? Do I need that special usb cable? Will the EDL points help me?
Maybe/Hopefully you can help me out.
EDIT:
When I turn on the phone it will directly go into fastboot mode. A normal start is not possible anymore?!...

hey - how did you get mi unlock to work? im having this problem: mi unlock tool 2.3.803.10. it won't show the mi mix 2 as connected with xiaomi drivers, only with google drivers it will show as connected and then let me click unlock. however, it stops at 50% and shows error "couldnt verify device unkown error (-1)". ive logged on to i.mi.com and located the device through find device. does anyone have any pointers how i can unlock, because i want to switch to global dev rom and miui updater wont let me update through system with error "android version is different".

I have buy a Redmi note 5 3/32 global version with red packaging write global version not open model M1803E7SC.
The phone start on Miui 9 Android 8 I have configure it with restore Google and mi cloud App's no Mistake work fine.
After I have an update for install Miui 10 Android 8 I make it no mistake too all work fine. I use it one day great phone I like it my child very happy.
But I receive a new update for Android 9 Pie Miui 10.
I make it and the phone restart and configure it and want restore App's again but the phone crash no button work frozen screen ? I shout down but stay on mi logo with Android on the back. I stay 1 hours nothing ?
The phone are new no BL unlock nothing only Ota update.
I restart it on Recovery stock 3.0 and wipe data the phone restart and stay again on mi logo and Android on the back and small research points ? I leave it all the night and no more battery shout down.
I have again acces to stock Recovery and fastoot but the phone are lock BL can't use sideload etc... I use mi pc suite assistant chinese version 3.0 for use mi assistant. I flash again the firmware download on mi.com with quick flash that work but when restart stay on mi logo ? After flash 3 times with mi assistant the phone now stay on mi logo but not Android in the back ?
I don't understand why a new phone with only ota update can't work fine ? I don't know why do now ? My child are very sad me too..
Please if someone can help me ?

I think your must to do from testpoint and re-flash MIUI from miflash.

Hello All,
I have Honor 8 Pro from 1 year now and i have been using Custom ROMs (Thanks to the Developers here) from very long. I was using OpenKirin ROM and then when Android P was release I used FFW to get the latest one and tried to upgrade the phone (thinking that i know everything ).
And the result was catastrophic! Now my phone only boots to recovery mode and if i try to do recovery, it fails.
Current status (Attached Screenshots for reference):
Bootloader locked : says "PHONE locked"
Tried HCU: cannot see any phone info other than Serial number
I have DC-Phoenix+HCU 3 days pack. So please let me know if something can be done to revive my phone. Please let me know if someone can help.
Hi, did you recover your phone finally.? Actually mine also stuck with same problem but the only difference is my phone status shows phone BOOTLOADER Unlock, FRP - UNLOCK.
Unable to do anything but am able to flash twrp and have Access in twrp but unable to flash anything coz all partitions are deleted. Shall I keep any hopes.??

Hi everyone, a buy my Mi 9 SE a few days ago and he come with miui 10 and with bootloader unlock (????????) , after one day i updated to MIUi 11, All right, all working fine. and after i failed in install TWRp/Magisk so i try to lock bootloader, but i have failed again, and until yesterday the phone die, when i try to power on he show a MIUi-Recovery and a message bellow saying "this miui version can't be installed on this device". I can enter in fastboot mode but i have already trying install stock roms with MiFlash, Fastboot and i don't know what i do now. Pls help me
hello guys. after a update my redmi note 8 pro (global) cannot boot. i can only get on fastboot but i never open my bootloader. i cannot get to recovery mode with vol up + power no matter how hard i try. what can i do? i cannot flash from mitool with locked bootloader i guess cause i get a stupid error.

It's pretty easy to fix if you can enter into fastboot mode but in my case situation is very different my device is completely dead/hard brick just notification light blinks, & only the solution is to get the MI Authorized Account & i don't have :crying: if Someone can help me please help
try with EDL mode ..
you can flash without unlock bootloader
it only works if you are actually updating from your own device and not by manual updating because you chose the MIUI ROM file incorrectly
