For those that have the samsung build, did you get the 4.0.2 update?

Still haven't got mine. I have the samsung build (forgot what the code is yakjuw?)
Anyways, I really hope we get the updates everyone else is getting because I'm not going to flash to stock google build just to get updates.

Well I sure hope we get it. That was one of my worries when an XDA forum member first found out there were different builds. Hope we still get updates quickly like the google ones.

I haven't gotten it yet on my yakjuux.

Is 402 for GSM or LTE? I thought it was LTE only.

I have it and I am on GSM.

We will get it, but those sent from Google will get it everything from 1 day to 1-2 weeks before us i've heard.
They are planing to release 4.0.3 soon too, so we should get 4.0.2 maybe tomorrow if we are luckey.

Both. But the OTA for GSM started happening today and LTE had the 4.0.2 OTA happening yesterday.
The stock image files were released for both (4.0.2) yesterday.

Anyone yet?

Also, does anyone know if Google responded about this? We have a nexus...we should get updates fast and first like everyone else. Ridiculous.

For both types but Google builds, no image files for Samsung builds afaik.

My GSM Gnex came with Samsung build and I didn't get v4.0.2 since yesterday. That's why I flashed to yakju. Loving it so far!

@ajftl There's this nice little app in the market called GN Official Update Checker that tells you your build and if it's updated directly by Google.

From Samsung and the carriers...I doubt it. If they get galaxy gear sales up for the holidays then the goal has been met. As far as I am concerned I will get the update (AOSP)...all thanks to the excellent devs here.

I doubt it. Our carriers are too lazy. In never buying a carrier specific phone again.

Agreed. That's why I've got a Nexus 5 on order. Although it's currently stuck in Dallas due to the weather. Original delivery date was tomorrow.

Most likely not thanks to the stupid carriers out there! In the meantime imma enjoy the work of these fine devs that deserve a couple of beers for their hard work.

I'm a tad more optimistic than my fellow S3 owners. Yes, it may be a long time before we see a 4.4 rollout but I don't think Samsung nor AT&T are stupid enough to not give their best selling smartphone at least one more update. More than likely we'll see the next iteration of Android out on Nexus and GE devices but that's how it was when 4.3 was released and we were all stuck on 4.1.1. My guess is anywhere from 6-12 months until we see a Touchwiz 4.4.

We'll get 4.4 about 6 months after Google released 4.5...

Well, the leak has nothing to do with OTA timing. 5.0.2's revised update should've been out by now. No excuses.

Tmobile is known to skip updates like these they will probably go str8 to 5.1.1

Ehh who cares... No root for 5.1.1 yet so I'm gonna hold off on it anyway. Plus it doesn't even fix anything really. Gonna hold off till root is available for 5.1.1.

Wrong! Battery drain, Dropped Calls, Voice and Data in some areas. Don't currently care about root ATM.

Got the update this morning... Installing now.

Update complete! First thing I did was remove S Finder and Quick Connect from the notification pull down. Other than that, I have no idea what's changed hah!

I noticed under developer options there is a toggle to unlock the bootloader. Good job Sprint!

Good job keeping is informed on the exact date for the roll out downloaded this morning couple new features seems to be running well battery seems a bit better aswell.

The website on T-Mobile's side is lagging. There was a 1.81 update the other day in OTA form. I'm BL unlocked, S-Off, running US Unlocked 1.80 with LeeDroid, so I haven't bothered to check if T-Mobile's 1.81 is much, if at all, different from unlocked 1.80, for what it's worth.

Ditto. I root because I don't wait. Had the HTC 10 on SuperCID with everything else pretty much as soon as I had it out of the box and powered on.

What is rcs? Maybe I know of it by different name.
Also that T-Mobile update is better then us unlocked depending where u live and what bands are there. Band 12 for me on us unlocked was not consistent switched to much and would cause data issues unless changed to different network mode.

When you send messages to someone it should show a read receipt or typing when they type.

I never tried stock rom just leedroid. So someone with the stock 1.81.531.1 rom would have to try it. But if it exists let me know and I'll work on getting it into leedroids rom
Update
I checked the system dump and can't find the apks so unless there different names I don't think it's available for us yet.

And the person you're texting or calling has to be on T-Mobile and have a S6,S7 edge or regular or a Note 5 or possibly HTC 10 if it was included in the update. HTC and T-Mobile confirmed the HTC 10 was getting it though, just didn't say when.

If not there then no rcs

My phone just got a 1.81 update. So far things seem much smoother and faster. Camera seems better too. Is always a good day when your phone get an update you didn't know was coming

Quick rcs question, seeing as we are using HTC 10, do we need to use the native messenger or Google messenger?
