If you are using custom rom, then simply download rom extract boot.img and place it on desktop, open odin and flash twrp in odin, after that reboot to recovery and put extracted boot.img in your phone, after that just flash it on boot partition! If stock then download latest firmware and flash it on odin!

No, flash ROM from custom recovery first, then the boot.img from fastboot. Use a custom, not stock, recovery (CWM, 4ext, or TWRP).

I have no idea what you're trying to say. What recoveries have you tried to flash? How have you tried to flash them? How are you trying to flash the ROM? What is "cyan," ClockworkMod (CWM) or CyanogenMod (CM)? What is a "stock recovery .boot img"? You can't flash anything from the stock recovery. You can't flash the stock ROM's boot.img with a custom ROM. Recoveries do not have boot.imgs that you need to worry about. I am saying that you need to have a custom recovery, like CWM, 4ext, or TWRP, installed. You do that through "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img." You then need to download a ROM zip, boot into recovery with power and volume-down, factory reset, and install the ROM. You then need to extract the boot.img from the ROM zip you just flashed and flash it from the computer with "fastboot flash boot boot.img."

Can't flash roms(Patching system image unconditionally)

Whats up lads,
so I just rooted and wiped my Tab S 8.4 but it's being weird when it comes to flashing.
I actually have the T705Y Version, the LTE Version(Australian, if it matters). But when I try to flash a Rom for the T705 Version it gives me this error:
This package is for device: klimtlte; this device is klimtwifi
However if I flash a rom that's designed for the T700(wifi) version it gets stuck during the installation on this error:
Patching system image unconditionally
Tried with several roms. Please help me out of my Rom Limbo! haha
cheers
Flash the right version of twrp for your device.
Are you attempting to flash an aosp rom?

Yeah I think you're right, that should be it. How do I flash the recovery though? I can't get out of the recovery on my tablet so fastboot won't detect it, will it?
If the recovery is twrp then extract the image from the TAR, if it's stock recovery then flash with odin.
POWER +HOME +VOL DOWN.

It's TWRP but how do I use the recovery.img file then? I mean I cant flash it, can I?
Yeah that Button Combo just reboots the device and then it gets stuck in the original boot screen, you know the black one that just says Samsung Galaxy Tab S SM-T705Y powered by Android because I have no OS installed
You don't need an os installed to boot to download mode.
You need to hold those 3 buttons until download mode appears.
Download mode will ALWAYS be available unless your device is hard bricked.
You can also boot to Download mode from twrp by selecting the download button.
To flash the recovery.img, as said extract it then select install in twrp then image then recovery.

Installing official twrp

So I am on oxygen OS 3.2.4 with Grarak unofficial twrp and rooted and I want to install the official oneplus 3 twrp. Can someone kindly tell me the steps that I need to take?
Just download the twrp recovery image from https://dl.twrp.me/oneplus3/
Reboot the phone to fastboot.
Then run "fastboot flash recovery c:\path\to\recoveryimg" from a command line.
So I cannot flash the recovery file from the unofficial twrp?

Oh I did forget that twrp now can flash image files, I always just use fastboot. My bad. Yeah you can do that. Just select that it's an IMG file and that it is recovery.
Or download flashify and do a back up of recovery and u can download twrp from the app it's self and flash

TWRP gets overwritten

I'm on latest ob18. I am able to flash it, and run it once, but after reboot, the stock recovery gets Back. Any ideas?
Just Reflash twrp via flashify or adb in fastboot mode, that could be normal if u r flash an unmodified stock rom
Yep. On latest ob-Oos or H2o for me recovery stays, after instaltion of the rom. But on a second reboot, stock recovery shows and i reflash custom recovery again.
Guys I flashed latest H2OS beta over OOS Beta18 and lost access to recovery. These are the steps I followed, please help.
1. Backup current ROM (OB18)
2. Dirty Flash New H2OS version
3. Flash recovery image again
4. Reboot system
ROM booted without any problems and all my data is present but I lost access to TWRP.
Solution attempted: Reboot to fastboot and flash recovery image again, the process is successful but still TWRP is not coming up.
Please help. Thanks in advance
Stock rom always over writes recovery best way to get it to stick is flash stock zip than twrp reboot to twrp and reboot or flash mods/root

S4 Mini Softbrick

First time flashing ROMs, installed resurrection remix tryed to install Gapps which failed, yet RR booted up on its own just fine. Then tried to flash a new recovery on it (TWRP 3.0) yet the phone would just never boot up to complete the recovery install. So now i have a phone which wont enter recovery mode and cannot complete the download of the new recovery.
TLDR: Phone wont boot into recovery as ROM is broken so download cant be fixed?
Previous: recovery TWRP 2.6
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-19195
Any help would be really appreciated!
Thanks
Are you sure that you have flashed the right Recovery for your Phone.
Normally the way is.
Boot into Recovery
Install the Recovery .zip file
Reboot into Recovery.
Reboot into System ( ROM )
Can you post a link where you download the Recovery and which file.

That would only work from TWRP ver 2.8.4, I think you missed he is still on very old TWRP or maybe he edit later , he would have to install with Odin method
@Spec77
If you can boot into download mode you should be able to flash new recovery with Odin method (NOT use zip file).
As Bierma suggests maybe you flashed wrong TWRP does your phone have another letter and after gt-19195 if so it is a different phone & you need different TWRP. Or maybe you just tapped wrong link.

This way works also if you come from a CWM or PhilzTouch Version.
If you come from TWRP =>2.8.4.0 than you can flash an *.IMG File ,but you can flash on all Versions a *.zip file.
Managed to fix the brick
Thanks for the help, I managed to fix it by installing TRWP 3.0 from ODIN, and now that i have that I'm fine
Thanks!
