Notification volume is controlled by Media volume on stock MIUI11 (BUG?) - Redmi Note 8 Pro Questions & Answers

Dear XDA,
Why would Note 8 Pro's notification volume is controlled by media volume?
For example, when notification received from Facebook or such, its sound is muted or when trying choose a notification sound in settings it shows toast "Ringer is silenced".
When media volume is increased everything works, but this will play from videos or music player with sound through speakers which is not what is needed!
Current volume settings:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is that a bug?! How to remove that then? All updates are installed and phone was bought less than a week ago.
How would it be possible to separate them? What then these volume bars mean?!
Thank you

Volume Control within apps

So previously i could use the volume up down buttons to control the volume within an app (youtube, spb tv, windows media player, etc)
Now when i attempt to lower the voume in spb tv, it stops what i'm watching and uses the default volume (black screen with white bars). Also in youtube and windows media player the volume buttons dont do anything at all.
Anyone know a solution?
ok, SR and now works in youtube, but the display only showed once (green bar showing volume)

Unified ringer/notification volume?

I don't like not being able to have one adjustable volume for all alerts. Same thing goes for the missing silent mode...any ideas?

I'm not sure exactly if this is what you're looking for but I use widgetsoid for a bunch of toggles and I found this volume panel as one of the options:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Try Home, Menu, Settings, Sound, Volume.
i use audiomanager by smart android apps. under settings, there is an option to link ringer and notification volume.
Quicksettings gives you all of the volume options as well

I believe that has to do with the sound or sound profile settings. I hadn't quite figured it out when I ran CM before but I think that's what it was

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
It's because you switched your sound profile into priority notification mode. Hit one of the volume buttons and you can switch to no interruptions (circle with slash through it), priority (which you can define through a setting there) and normal (no extra icon in status bar).

Creaking and annoying noise when unlocking the phone

Hi all,
I usually keep my phone on silent/vibrate during the week, and just realized this weekend when I put the notification sound up that the HTC 10 does an annoying high pitch creaking noise when I unlocked or when taking a picture (as if you were scratching a blackboard). Also a weird tap noise when navigating the phone. I realized this is linked to the notification & sound / system.

When I lock the phone I get a normal sound feedback/tap.
When I disable touch sounds and screen lock sound this disappears.
Are they any way to change those sounds? And do you guys have the same sounds? Is anyone annoyed by this?

Question Volume low on Bluetooth Jabra 85t earphones

ok not sure if earphone issue or phone which is not rooted
Volume very low when playing songs on Spotify and was ok when I was using OP7 pro. On android 11 and in developer settings and disabled absolute volume
is there anything else that I can check or do to increase the volume or is it headphone/spotify issue
Thanks
Okay think it's a Spotify issue think it's okay now
Check in Bluetooth advance options.
Sync media volume option
Also check in Spotify there is a volume normalize option in settings. Turn that to loud
