Introduction
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
I don't own this device personally, but my friend borrow me his 8T, so i will try my best to maintain the sources even if i return the phone to him.
Feel free to fork my sources and make the community more stronger for this phone!

Yeah, then your system will be crashing by NFC stuff and you won't have notification LED lights.

Wow
Thank you very much for the rom, this is the first way for Note 8T, I hope you will succeed and you will make the firmware better than the official

I have not come around any major issues really while running this rom with the video exception which was fixed in the last update
Why does it show 'SELinux: Enforcing' in the screenshot while you still mention that it's without SELinux?
The only thing i can find is a quick battery drain.
Stock gifs about 2 days with average use.
this rom less than 20 hours.

nice work, just installed it. no major bugs bugs till now
edit:
1) charging rate while phone in use (nothing major, normal apps and reading, no games/background apps like FB etc) is quite low for me. when screen is off its normal.
2) the screen doesn't switch off during calls, a proximity sensor issue?

Working:

RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
Wifi
Bluetooth
Camera (Photo, Video Recording)
Audio, Video Playback
Hotspot
Not Working/ Bugs:
Permissive SELinux
Workarounds:
Battery drain and Heat.
- Install Kernel Auditor and go to cpu tab and set cpu governor to interactive for both cluster and go to io sched tab and set io scheduler to bfq.
Installation:
(For existing users, a clean flash is recommended.)
Requires Unlocked Bootloader & a custom recovery
Place ROM & Gapps in your virtual SD
Reboot into Recovery
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Dalvik cache
Wipe System
Install the ROM zip
DO NOT REBOOT
Install the Gapps zip (nano recomended)
Reboot
N.B. Official LineageOS builds are unrooted, if you want this feature back flash su/ magisk (arm64) then enable root access from Settings -> Developer options.
Unroot is even easier, just flash "su removal" package available at the previous linked page. (not yet implemented)
Did sub's Works

Ofcourse these are not of great concern but it would be awesome if you have them available in the next build

Has anyone tested if international data roaming works? It's been missing from earlier Zenfone Max builds of both Lineage Oreo and Lineage Nougat, but I keep hoping one of the devs might eventually think it's a bug worth squashing!

I tried several ROMs built on Lineage Nougat, and none of them had international data roaming working. Ditto the AIMROM version of Lineage Oreo.
It is even more annoying in some ways that none of the devs seem to acknowledge this or list it as a bug.

so fast?
i need headphone jack though.
fantastic!
Hello,
i am using RMX1993.
NFC is not working and some Apps dont use Fingerprint.
e.g. Bitwarden.
And it says Model Name RMX1992.
incoming and outgoing calls not showing on screen. how do i downgrade? its saying "the installed version is lower than current" when i tried downgrade to stock rom.
Appreciate your efforts for bringing android 11 update so quickly. Saw review of the rom on YouTube. Looks quite stable but I use headphones for gaming and listening music so it's a must for me. Still I'll flash this one once stable magisk for android 11 rolls out.
Bug "headphone jack audio routing" means that wired headphones don't work on this firmware?

So its time for stable update? Changelog:
March 2021 Security Patches
Many more under the hood changes and patches that deem towards improving the UX
Network Speed meter
Adjustable height for the navbar
Stabilised Deep sleep
Fixed up all the inconsistencies that were there in the previous builds
Sources are published on the github.
Notes: if you are on the previous AOSP build you can simply dirty flash the current build and stuff should work out fine, However, if you are on a ancient build of AOSP, You are advised to do a clean flash over latest RUI 1.0 (Android-10 firmware) for your respective variant, Please note builds made from my tree are compatible across all the variants marketed under the umbrella of Realme X2 be it RMX1991,1992,1993, So stop sending me dm(s) asking if it would work.

Rom comes with Google Apps baked in, No need to flash the gapps package separately.
Using latest version of AOSP vanilla. It is simple and very stable for daily usage for me at least. Battery backup is great. Only issue is missing 64mp camera. Otherwise the perfect rom.
thanks for the great work!
but the url not work.

Easiest way is to use stock rom, otherwise use wyroczen gcam also magisk mod enabler for gcam for getting 64mpx camera.good luck!
Hi Avik423, thank you, I have tried to use wyroczen gcam with magisk mod enabler in several custom rom, the 64mp cam failed to work, which rom do you use may i ask?

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Work for making LineageOS official again has been started as well as work on Lineage 18.0 (R).
Going from unofficial -> official:
* Must wipe data or https://wiki.lineageos.org/signing_builds.html#using-a-script

That's great, I guess its time to leave OxygenOS and move to LineageOS
Great and thank you so much!
Do you also plan to push OP5T (dumpling)?

I don't own dumpling, so no.
I could, if I found a used 5T for good price.
That's great news. Is this build will succeed in saftynet test?

Nobody cares about safetynet. If you want it to work properly, use stock ROM on a locked bootloader.

All my other custom roms are just working fine with SafteNet passing. So it would be great to see this in LineageOS working.

They won't be working for long once hardware attestation becomes a thing

Hi,
I noticed it doesn't pass safetynet CTS right now. I'll try to get it going.
Nice work guys, this is really promising for the future of the Oneplus 5.
Would be great if someone could verify that VoLTE, Wifi display, some NFC features work, as I don't have these available.
Thanks!
@T1mb3 I tested the VoLTE on T-Mobile USA, a test call in and call out worked, still get the chipmunck on inbound calls (I've lived with that glitch so long that it's not an issue for me). WiFi Display worked fine to my TV. I don't have any way to test NFC.
One thing that did happen error wise, this is with clean install, I went into Dev Options and enabled "Show background ANRs" like I normally do. Once enabled I kept getting "SecureElemantApplication isn't responding" every minute or two.

I can test nfc capability in the weekend. I have some NFC tags here so I can test writing and Reading of it.
@T1mb3 I just tested the NFC chip. The chip is working just fine. I tried writing, read and format a couple of tags and did not got any error or instability.
Update:

this build reboots to recovery when I reboot after flashing
EDIT: my mistake, I formatted data and flashed a ROM that doesn't force encrypt. Formatted again, flashed LOS and everything is fine now.
Added to the OnePlus 5 Index Thread here.
Any news about making this official?
