Pairing Issue - Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I had connected the Mi Band 4 to MI fit mod+, to connect it to a new phone I unpaired it from within the app, after that moment the band shows the message "pair first" and "Regulatory" only and I can't connect the app nor the the new phone nor to the older one. I can't even reset it since there isn't that action on the band. Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks

at setting try to "factory reset" and then try to connect Mi Band 4 again

I have the same issue, problem is that the other options are not available anymore, just pair first and repository. And I couldn't find the reset option at the Mi Fit App. I tryed to run a firmware update by the app Notify and Fitness but it doesn't complete. Really don't know what to do...

Got it working. I had to reset the watch from the options menu.
Good for you. Hope that don't have issues when I receive Lollipop on my Z.

Got Lollipop on my Z1, the watch was realy buggy...
Had to do a reset also, now it looks better.
Smart unlock is not working since I upgraded to Lollipop on my Z2.
Tried resetting watch as above, but it did not help.

Replying to my own post.
It works fine under Lollipop. It is just that the update turns off Google Smart Lock. You have to turn it back on:
Settings --> Security --> (Scroll Down to Advanced) Trusted Agents -->
Turn on 'Smart Unlock (Google)'
If not already done, it will tell you that you need to set a PIN. Do so, then return and Turn on 'Smart Unlock (Google)'
Unpair the watch (or other BT device), and pair again. You will now get the Notification to add it as a trusted device.

Apps not in the List
I'm on TW Lollipop 5.1.1 and for me the following solution worked:
install Smart connect & Smartwatch 2 App and all other apps/smart extensions you need
connect/pair your Smartwatch2
Activate Autostart/Autorun for all the Smartwatch apps/extensions you installed (depending on the Rom you use, in the settings or with an app that manage Auto starting)
reboot your phone
done
at this point, if the app list of your smartwatch doesn't refresh you have to add these steps
disconnect bluetooth (disable it on smartwatch)
unpair/remove the Smartwatch from your bluetooth devices on your smartphone and switch bluetooth off after that
reset the Smartwatch (settings in smartwatch -> software reset)
clear cache and data of smartconnect & smartwatch2 app
pair/connect the Smartwatch with your phone
Maybe you have to do one more "bluetooth off/on" switch
done
sorry for no pictures

always disconnected after pairing with Lenovo P780

recently I've bought ASUS zenwatch. But after pairing with my Lenovo P780 running on Kitkat 4.4.2, it's keep disconnected and cannot connect.
I have check my Google Play Service, Google Now, and all programs need to be updated, all checked.
I tried to reset device my zenwatch 5 times, and still after pairing with my P780 it will disconnected. The Initialization was running and the Setup done on my zenwatch, but in my android wear on my phone just gets status Updating. And finally Android wear in my phone just says "Trying to connect" .
I also try to bluetooth connect with manual connect from both my phone and zenwatch, and stll after pairing request, it's just disconnected.
what should i check now? :crying:
In the android wear app dropdown menu select disconnect from zen watch, then reconnect from the same menu

still no luck. :crying:
I try to connect it with my brother's Xiaomi Redmi Note, it's connected flawlessly. Then i try do system update my zenwatch to Build 5.0.2, but still i can't connect to my phone.
I think the problem is in my phone, i had it flash manually twice, now it's running on Build P780_ROW_S228_150112 KitKat 4.4.2 , but i don't see any issue about my phone after i flash it, except for this Zenwatch issue. I had it well connected with earphone bluetooth.
What should i check about in my phone regarding this issue?
Uninstall Android wear and ZenWatch manager, forget the phone on Bluetooth. Factory reset the phone and start the process from scratch. Make sure you disable the Wi-Fi option when reinstalling Android wear.

I read on other forum, it seems the trouble is in Kitkat version on Lenovo P780. Other people using same phone cannot connect to any android wear (moto 360, sony smartwatch, LG watch). Temporary solution is to use custom ROM for Nexus 5 chinabase version.

Phone dont see the smartwatch 3

Hi guys,
i bought the secondhand sony smartwatch 3 today and i have a problem with connection
The phone does'nt detect the watch. when i am running Android Wear app and seek watches, phone doesn't detect my smartwatch.
i trying reset watch. not helped.
Please help.
Did you go through the Android Wear app's pairing process? After a factory reset the watch guides you through the steps on how to pair with your phone. Also check that the watch isn't paired as a regular bluetooth device first (forget the device in bluetooth settings of the phone before trying to setup via android wear)
You definitely need to factory reset the watch in order to begin the correct pairing sequence with your phone, if you haven't already done so.

Can't pair

Brand new Mi Band 4. Installed Mi Fit. Device shows up in Bluetooth "Available Devices" (though usually only by MAC address), but Mi Fit just shows "Searching" (for over an hour now).
Running a LineageOS equivalent to Android 6.0.1.
First of all, make sure that you do not have Mi Band paired with your system bluetooth service, it can interfere with the initial pairing in Mi Fit.
Then try force closing Mi Fit, turning bluetooth off and on again and if nothing works, try pairing with a 3rd party app in standalone mode https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=blacknote.mibandmaster
I assume if it shows up in "Available devices" instead of "Paired devices" then I don't have it paired with the system bluetooth service. I have tried all of your suggestions (even rebooting several times), and none of them have worked so far, with the same behavoir when using Master for Mi Band - the band appears in "Available Devices" (again only with its MAC address), but the application can't find it.
Can you connect to the band with this app? It has a pairing mode where you can put MAC address directly. You won't be able to finish pairing without the authorization code though.
Btw. have you tried the band with another phone which has more recent Android and Bluetooth version?

Which app? I have also tried Gadgetbridge (in case you mean that one), and yes indeed, the app sees the band (identifying it with both "Mi Smart Band 4" and the MAC address, but I can't do anything beyond that (tapping on the icon for the band does nothing). I do eventually want to use Gadgetbridge only, so I only want to pair with any of the other apps to obtain the authorization code.

I have not tried that (yet). That looks like the next step. Do you know if I can transfer an authorization code from one phone to another (and have it work, of course)?
Factory reset your mi band
How do I factory reset it (without pairing it first)?

I meant Notify & Fitness, somehow managed to forget to include the link
Authorization code is definitely tied to the band MAC address and other parameters, but if you can use the same code between different phones.. Frankly no idea. After a factory reset of the band, authorization code changes.
Mi Band Master is probably the only app which can obtain authorization code without using original or modified Mi Fit - you might try using it on a different phone and then transfer whole app data to your phone.
Btw. which Mi Fit are you trying? The original one or patched?
I have only tried the original one so far.

I think I thanked the wrong post. I managed to pair it with a differenet device (Android 7.0), and then the pairing key worked fine on the older device that I want to use with it (for now).
Thanks for your help.

Need help on my Galaxy Watch 46mm (R800) - won't connect to bluetooth

i recently switch phones from my Honor View10 to Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G. The former phone is where i used to use and the first phone my Galaxy Watch ever paired with. However, when trying to set it up on my new phone (the Mi 10 Pro 5G), it just won't connect at all. i did went to the Watch's settings and select the "Connect to a new phone" option that wipes the data on the Watch. i tried several walk through i could ever see and think of, but to no avail. Here are what i have tried aside from the settings part:
- Manually pair the Watch via the Phone's Bluetooth - apparently the Watch did manage to pair, but just won't stay connected, it automatically disconnects immediately after connecting (see attached pic)
- Allowed all the Wear App and the Galaxy Watch Plugin's permissions on the Phone
- Factory Reset the Watch via the Recovery option
- Reflashed the Watch's firmware via this thread and sourced the missing firmware files from this thread
the Watch remains stuck on the "Check your phone to complete setup" screen for several days now, and i'm starting to get frustrated over this. Before reflashing the firmware, i tried to reconnect the watch to my old Honor View10 phone, and it no longer connects there too! same issue with Bluetooth connection dropping as soon as it connects.
help is very much appreciated.
Edit: somehow the attached files keep getting missing (404), so here's the imgur link for them: https://imgur.com/gallery/QOgPY0J
