Could someone take a peak and see if you can help my battery life? - Google Pixel 3 XL Questions & Answers

Never had great battery life on this phone, at one point this summer I was getting 5+ SOT, but it's getting pretty bad, worse since 10.
I dony really see anything to explain it, at least not anything that one been able take action on.

I would say to get any solid advice you would need to charge fully and then let it run down to about 10% and then show the screen shots.

Actually this is exactly what I did. Unplugged it this morning.
Looks like BBS didn't reset or something? I guess I could do that, and then reboot tomorrow and then unplug?

That should work.

Out of curiosity, are there any updates on this?

I'm wondering why this is happening, I've only made like two phone calls today, is this normal cuz i don't remember ever seeing phone draining that much battery.

you were talking with screen on... so 2 hours of screen time with 1:50 of phone time is kind of normal.

No I was not talking at all, i made two quick phone calls and that's it, and phone had never showed up using that much battery. Anyway I flashed darkside cache wipe and that seemed to fix it

Hows your reception? I know if i dont turn on airplane mode while at work "Phone" shows up just like yours does. I realized its cause i would constantly go in and out of service and when im out of service it would stay awake and never sleep. Plus at my dads house, HSPA is really weak, so i either must force 2G or 3G in order for my "Phone" to stop chewing up battery.

Battery life and Rasbean/Trinty

How many of you guys use tethering with your Nexus?
As I sit here in the waiting room, waiting for my girlfriend, I decided to tether to my n7. After 1:40min my battery is down to 35%
Is this normal or is there something wrong?
What kind of battery life do you guys generally get when using rasbean and the trinity kernel?
Thanks guys for the feedback

This is normal usage with stock settings and stock battery. But I do not tether.

I have to carry 5 batteries just to last the day...
But I remember getting 17 hours, but mostly standby with maybe 1:30 of screen time
are you using stock battery and have you tried the no-name brand?

[Q] Power Saving Mode?

I just got the M7 yesterday and updated to sense 6 today.
The only problem I see with this phone is that the battery is draining too fast.
So I'm trying to find the power saving mode.
I looked up at the manual and also some videos and found out that sense 5.5 has power saving notification
but no mention about sense 6.
So my question is that where can I get the saving mode in 4.4.2 sense 6?

Stuck in the same boat I believe you have to root because I couldnt find that option either or you could use a battery saver. I get about 17 hours out of mine a day with headphones on for about 3/4 of the day

Look up "Go battery saver" in the play store and it will show up it will look like this. I use it since I'm not rooted yet and can't mess with the settings.

Wifi always-on issue (check battery usage details)

Hi guys.
I noticed in battery details that Wifi looks always-on even if I switch it OFF often for example during last night or yesterday afternoon when I was out for working. As you can see the "scanning always available" is OFF.
Anybody with this problem?

Do you have location services turned on using Wi-Fi?

No, I have "Device only - Use GPS to determine your location"
But from battery chart looks like the wifi is really off ( only 1% of discharge during 7 hours of night sleep). Maybe is only an issue with battery stats indicator.
Might just be a bug. Mine is off and I have anything pertaining to Wi-Fi off that would cause it to sleep or use battery. When I switch back to my Z5P I will check the stats again. Currently it's feel like using my Nexus week lol

Ahahah OK thanks man
There you go gave it a couple hours to see if it is on. Initially it was on then I remembered to turn it off.

As you see in the red circle wifi went off at some point. It would be nice to discover which process is doing that.
Btw it's fun to note (green circle) that wifi seems working even if the phone is off with dead battery.

Fast charging not working, Google RMA my device

Is anyone having issues with fast charging?
Google is doing an RMA on my device because they say there may be an issue since fast charging isn't working.
When I plug phone in it (51% battery) says fast charging but then says 2 hours til battery full but it takes 5 minutes to change 1% I am using the charger and chord that came with my Pixel 3XL
When I first got phone it would charge a 1% per minute and sometimes even faster.
Google assistant says my battery is good and no issues or apps affecting it... We also tried booting phone into safe mode which disables all 3rd party apps to make sure it wasn't a rouge app.
They instructed me that they are doing the RMA and will check my device when it gets back to them.
So today I decided to see if it was fast charging... Through an app that measured the MAh it charges at...
Also phone would say it was fully charged at 67%... I unplugged and restarted phone plugged it back in and it charged to 83% then said full again.
Anyways anyone else having any issues?
Here's some screenshots
