Low light - Samsung Galaxy A51 Real Life Review

At the club, at the bar, or just in your mom's basement, nighttime is when you come out to play. Rate this thread to express how the Samsung Galaxy A51's camera performs when no or low light is present. A higher rating indicates that the camera sensor "sees" lots of light in dim conditions, and that the resulting photos have minimal noise. A higher rating also indicates that when the flash fires, the resulting photo is evenly-lit without any bright spots.

Wait am I in a bad fever dream? I just set my camera to pro mode for the first time and I cannot for the sake of God find a way to set a custom exposure duration. Please tell me I'm just dreaming or the feature is just well hidden. I loved to take pictures with 10s exposure on my note

Same on A50. I think shutter time in pro-modus is only available in S-series.

Low light performance is pretty good especially with the Pixel 3 camera HDR+ Enhanced turned on.

Really nice results in low light.
of course its not comparable to any galaxy devices in low light conditions but it still performs well...in bright condition i think xperia has no rival...
In low light with manual or just good Scene selection it may be better than Galaxys. But not than G5 or 6.
should have performed better considering its price
Here you have samples of photos in different conditions, have fun

Low light performance is about same as a old Galaxy S5 and no where as good as LG G5 or Huawei P9/Mate 9.
Also manual controls only allow about a second of apperture time, so cannot use tripod.

On auto mode, it's okay. Nothing magical. But manual controls + raw mode allows you freedom rarely seen on other phones. 30 second shutter time!
Could have benefitted from another f-stop for lenses, but sw/hw does work its best. Taking dimly lit pictures of moving children or pets is tricky however.
