Derpfest is an UNOFFICIAL, heavily customized build of AOSiP. It uses a base of AOSiP and adds features that AOSiP doesnt have.

Bug reporting:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Have an unlocked bootloader, and TWRP installed/booted

No, the thread says Redmi Note 8 aka "ginkgo", if you flash it on Redmi Note 8T, you'll loose NFC stuff.

Hi guys, I think there is some missinformation on the 1st post. It said that this ROM include GApps, but in fact thats not true.
Note: Thank you for the ROM, great job! will report if I find some bug

It's the same for me although I have V11.0.3.0 and V11.0.4.0 firmware.
Only that my redmi note 8 is GINKGO !!!

Cardinal-AOSP is a Custom ROM which was initially based on AOSPB, then we changed our mind and rebased it to AOSP-RRO, to get better compatibility with most of the devices. my english is poor...sorry!!
Most of the translation is correct except for the camera section,But in English I can not express what I mean,really sorry!
Anyway, it's the camera. The photos that come out of it are different from the images before the camera.
In the end, I still like your ROM

OK so I got this mi note 2 in December 2017 an have been looking for a good custom ROM for it ever since I unlocked its bootloader.
This ROM:-
Has zero slow down (most ROMs for this cell do usually in less than 2 days)
It's compatible with my main 2 enhancement softwares ssd boost an Roehsoft ram expander (even though it is only compatible up to Nougat)
Is compatible with android 8 google camera (5.1 version)
Works perfectly with magisk
Two thumbs up Psy-Man. I think you finally made a ROM that I find very versatile an outperforms MIUI.
Finally my ROM search is over.
I cannot figure screenshot but just use an app.
Thank you very VERY much.
This is a very stable consistent ROM an actually is so stable that it shows up weaknesses in applications.
Very well done (that's high praise from me because I am very fussy with ROMs)

Snapdragon camera but you can install Gcam, for the kernel wait info.

MicroG bug : UnifiedNlp is not registered in system

Installed with open gapps-aroma and changing the original app by google app. And flashing flash kernel. At the moment very well

Am having multitouch issues
Hey I'm having multi touch issues. A lot. I've tried the multi touch tester and the detectors shake and tremble when more than 1 finger is placed and is slightly moved all of them together at once. It happens in all ROMs for op5 except oos.a lot of ppl I have seen are having this issue..I have tried playing with the three swipe gesture or disabling touch boost!tried different kernels but is still having the issues the issue is easily reproducible and also the logs don't show anything related to the issue ..this is mostly seen in games..

No problems bro, you can't remember all, great work with this ROM.

I had this ROM on my sons XIAOMI note 5 works perfectly, tried it with my 1+5 and so far so good...everything works, restored all my apps using the titanium and no force closes. Thanks DEv for this ROM.

The rom is great and so smooth but i had a question about pubg it keep exiting by it self is this because of ram management or what? Although there is no game mod in the rom could it be the reason for that?? Thanks alot for your efforts you are making our lifes better

May be PUBG thinking your device is rooted. Try Magisk hide.

It's rooted already but i didn't thougt that will effect game performance I'm playing with other roms without any problem

is there a version without Gapps ?
Also call recording is not present

pubg does not want hackers in game so they check for root on phone and if its does find out that your phone is rooted, it will auto shutdown. Try magisk hide and if that doesnt work try flashing magisk hide props. Happy gaming.

I have used so many roms but ancient os is one of the best roms till now. I love the interface provided and the customisations. Very clean and simple. Though I have had a hard time with the network issues.
I kind request to the people who have provided us with this excellent rom. To find a soulution for this network issues. Love u all and thanks.

I have a question, I have tried different roms for the redmi note 8 and I end up returning to stock because they do not detect the 5ghz wifi networks, does this rom support it or is there a way to activate it? since I can't find the region option to change either.

Great! I could boot into the ROM yesterday, but flashing G-apps was a pain, as it showed an error SDK 28. Unfortunately could'nt post any screenshots. Considering the issue with calls, if that is the bug, i think it shouldnt have been there, considering this is an official build.

Found a bug. When a notification comes in from the notification curtain from above, you lower the curtain, do swipe to the side, a gear appears, there you can turn off the notification. So, the notification does not turn off from the curtain. It can be disabled only through the basic settings.: о

thanks you for posting the change log but this change were provide by me in unofficial builds the official build comes with june patch

What about battery life ?

Currenty i have some bug :
• if you setup lockscreen with fingerprint phone stuck at 'Phone is starting' at bootup
• sometime if you take picture from camera, the picture not save at internal storage & gallery
Overall this rom amazing you guys must try ! :highfive:

Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.​

Fingerprint scanner was not working for me

Great ROM thanks dev, only issue I'm having is screen auto rotation stops working randomly after a while. I've tried firmware 61 and 84 and a different kernel but still the issue returns. Anyone else noticed this?

After use fix fp, now all work fine. Fast and smooth rom, good kenel.
Now i see, only one small bug (not only this rom) in status bar with 2 enabled sim, i see 1 mobile operator.
