Help with X2 and Google Voice - Realme X2 Questions & Answers

Just got an X2 and I'm having trouble getting Google Voice to ring when the phone is locked. I've tried everything I could think of including notification settings and power saving stuff but no matter what I do it will not ring when the screen is locked. It will wake the device and prompt me to unlock but it doesn't ring, vibrate, or notify me in any way that I'm getting a call.

Google hangouts dialer partially fixes the issue. It will use your google voice number and ring/vibrate through the lock screen but you still can't answer a call without unlocking.

Google Now acting flaky...

When I first got the phone, Google Now was very responsive to my "Ok, Google" command. Then,I disabled S Voice and learned that you must enable S Voice in order to use the Google Now command from any app or from the lock screen. Now, nothing. I can press on the Google Now icon and whether it records my voice or not is iffy. I can no longer press the dial key on my Bluetooth to get voice dialing commands. Nothing works! Anybody have an idea of how to fix this? I have tried to go into Google settings to allow use of the command even when the phone is off, but when the screen pops up to program Ok Google with my voice, it just sits there. [emoji16]

[Q] Smart Unlock & Trusted Voice Feature Issues

Hey everyone, I am wondering if anybody has tried out the trusted voice feature of google now? I'm trying to get this working. I have an LG G4, running the latest OS and patches as of 6/19. The end goal is that I want to say "Ok Google" from a completely locked and shut off screen, and have it wake up the phone and accept a command. Ideally, I would like to be able to wake the phone up and have it accept commands from a dark screen, even without a lock screen in place, but I'm not sure that's even possible. I want to do this so I can do some voice controls while i'm in the car, without having to interact with the phone and unlock it every 30 seconds.
Here is what I have setup:
1 - Settings - Lock Screen - Select a screen lock - Created a PIN
2 - Settings - Lock Screen - Smart Lock - Trusted Voice change to On
3 - Google Settings - "Ok Google" detection - From the google app/From any screen/Trusted voice all turned On
The end result is that if the screen is locked but lit up, I can say Ok Google and it will accept a command. However, if the screen is dark, it does not respond at all. Has anyone else tested the trusted voice feature, and is this expected behavior? I did a search but haven't come up with anything. Thanks in advance for any help.
I use that but it will only unlock from off if charging.

When the screen of my One plus 3 is locked and someone calls me, I can hear the phone ringing and see that there is an incoming call, but when i picked up from pocket suddenly i touched home button/Fingerprint button , at this same tim caller ID or Caller user interface invisible under the lockscreen, then i have to first unlock my phone then i can pick up incoming call. How can fixed please solve this problem please.but this problem didn't happend in stock rom Oxygen OS or Open beta.
I use Google Dialer and the issue doesn't occur.
The OnePlus Dialer app has a few issues.
Try using Google Dialer (flash OpenGApps via TWRP).
Go to settings, search phone app and set the default phone app to the google dialer

Functionality Questions

I'm wondering if others have had similar issues that I've run into.
Is there a way to have the Navigation bar on at all times?
There have been a few instances where the volume state of the phone (Ring, Vibrate, Silent) didn't match the slider position. I have to move the slider back and forth to reset it.
Is there a way to prevent the phone from turning on when I plug it in?
There have been a few times where I didn't get text messages or phone calls on Verizon. I'm not sure if this is a phone or carrier issue.
Is there a way to use Google Voice as the default voicemail provider? I don't see google voice as an option in the Phone->Voicemail settings.
So far this phone has been fantastic. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

1) try a different launcher, MS launcher & (I believe) Lawnchair have an option for navigation bar always visible
4) did you get a new SIM card or use your old one. I had similar problem where old SIM wasn't making good contact in new phone, new SIM card took care of the problem
5) “your carrier” is the only option for voicemail provider, I don't know if that changes when you add a SIP account phone/settings/calling accounts. can you put Google voice as a separate account?

To #4, I had to call VZ and have them provision my phone as an "LTE-Only" device. The 7T doesn't have the necessary CDMA bands to hit some of VZ's network, but if you provision your existing sim card as lte-only it'll force VZ to wait until your phone is in 4g coverage to try sending a text vs falling back to 3g/cdma which 7T doesn't support.
2: If you press Power + Volume Up it switches to Vibrate Only. It's a default Android shortcut but the OS won't change any of the icons and you can't get out of it without toggling the slider. I reported it as an issue in December but by now it's pretty clear OnePlus will never fix it, so be careful to toggle the slider back and forth every hour or two to make sure you don't miss calls and messages.

Screen does not turn on when phone rings

When I get a phone call the screen does not turn on and I have to press the phone button to answer it. I tried installing the Google Dialer, then switched back to stock so not sure if that messed it up. Also, idk why but all my apps are asking for permissions again.
I'm pretty sure the screen should always turn on for incoming calls? I normally leave on DND with exceptions for calls from contacts.
