I need some information, how to get the latest update for my Android after flash - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

So my phone is Doogee S90. In the beginning everything started with unlocking the bootloader, root and flashing TWRP recovery mode, but i softbricked it and somehow found an old stock firmware update from 2018. I fixed the phone successfully with it, then removed the root, locked the bootloader and started the phone, it works, but i cant update it to the latest version cuz it just can't find it, my currently version is Doogee_S90_Android8.1-20181116_20181123-1523 and the latest is DOOGEE_S90_Android8.1-20190629_20190629-1831. I searched everywhere, but cant find it and cant update it to the latest version, so if someone can make me backup from the latest one as firmware image will be great or atleast tell me how to fix the "Wireless Update" to get the latest version, please.
btw, if this Thread is not in the correct category, please tell me where it has to be or just move it.

HTC M8 Hong Kong Help (No version_main)

Hi everyone!
I recently unlocked my bootloader and rooted my m8.
I tried using firewater to "s-off" my phone and unfortunately, it did not work out. The way I understand it, I cannot install stock ROMs (such as the 5.0.1 GPE) without "s-off." Now, I want to unroot my phone and stick to waiting for the OTAs to roll out instead.
I followed the instructions in the "returning to stock" thread and noticed that I have no version main (see attached image). I looked around the forums and saw that the advice was to flash the latest TWRP version. Since I'm stuck with a phone that I cannot update, I'm trying to be careful now. Can anyone please confirm if flashing the latest TWRP will bring my version main back?
The noob in me also has a few questions/requests as well:
1. Since my phone is rooted, I cannot receive OTA updates and upgrade to lollipop once these updates roll out?
2. Please tell me which files to download to return to stock. Just trying to be really careful this time around.
3. Lastly, is it also true that I can only install custom ROMs once have rooted? As to stock ROMs, I can't install them until I get "s-off"?
Thanks a lot, everyone! Cheers!

Do I have to flash the latest TWRP version before proceeding?

Help to unlock the bootloader

So I have been trying to install Cyanogenmod 14, but I am kind of new to this, so I will probably seem pretty stupid. I basically tried to install it but forgot to unlock my bootloader. It was messed up, but I got help to install 2.20.40.184, so it works again. Now, however, I still want to install cyanogenmod 14. Partly because I for some reason don't get the OTA updates (I live in Denmark, where the Zenfone 2 isn't sold, so that may be it), so I've been stuck on lollipop since I got the phone. I don't even get a software update section under settings. So after all this, I tried to unlock the bootloader with the official app that you can download from the Asus website, however, when I do that, I get an error message saying "This device model is not supported". So looking for manual ways to root, I only found one that works with marshmallow, and when I download a ROM for marshmallow, I don't get the notification about an available software update. I also cannot enter recovery mode.
Hope this made sense, and that I posted it in the right place. Thank you!

Look for raw file .196 LP from RealYoti on here
Flash it in boot loader, with AFTool
You may have a china firmware converted to WW.
Once you flash try unlock ..or update from sd card to M ...Check my signature for flashing in AFT , also clues in downgrade link for how to write M to be recognised after a reboot for updating
If not got Chinese original serial you should be fine
Then when upgraded to M , Modder tool should be ok for unlocking bl in M
Then you can install 14.1
Hi, thank you very much for your reply.
Should I flash the raw file .196 even though I am using .184 right now? And which of the links in your signature is for flashing with AFtool (and where do I get AFTool?)
I have no idea if I have a chinese firmware converted to WW. Sorry, I am new to this xD
Yes, I am planning to use the modder tool once I have managed to update to Marshmallow.
Thank you very much

Updating to nougat

Hello All!
I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I'm trying to install nougat on my phone and having some great difficulty.
So far my phone is flashed and I was running TWRP 3.0.2 however every time i try to flash a lineage 14.1 based rom it would never work. (tried straight lineage 14.1, nutOS, DOT) none of them worked (wiped the phone clean, then received error 7, removed the assert lines that let in install but just perpetually boot looped) . My many a google searches makes me believe that that particular version of TWRP does not work with nougat. but that's the only version I am able to get working. any newer version of TWRP gets stuck in a perpetual boot loop.
So with that said, if my suspicious are correct and i need a newer version is there anything I'm missing to install a newer version of TWRP? if 3.0.2 is a good enough version to install nougat based rom's what am I missing on that end?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! and Thanks in advance!
Ninja edit: I'm runnnig the Z00A (Z551ML) and i've been using using roms/images meant for Z00A
I'm actually not yet used to these kind of stuffs but I guess your problem has something to do with either your twrp version or the bootloader version, this link might help you. http://theflamingskull.com/downloads/z00a/MM_BL_STUFF/

Yup that was it. My google-fu is off as i found my answer from a reddit post (5 seconds after asking this question in reddit...) My issue was that i was still on lolipop, the last OTA update and had no idea asus put out a manual update. worst part is, after unlocking the bootloader installing twrp, THEN installing that oem update, that might have cause my phone to crash mid update so it ended up bricking the phone...
I was able to Frankenstein it back together with old parts that I thought were no good, right now I'm on that last manual update and I gotta fight through a few issues preventing the boot loader from being unlocked.
Anyway you were correct, using the last OTA update updates the bootloader so I was stuck cause of that.

Flash stock software update through TWRP?

First of all this phone belongs to my dad. This means I haven't used it and I'm not familiar with many things about it.
The phone is running a stock ROM. It is not rooted, but it does have TWRP.
A software update prompt popped up trying to install "v20p-apr-03-2018" (why is an update for the G4 called v20 lol).
Telling it NOT to download it and NOT check for updates ever doesn't work. The update prompt comes back in 2 days tops. So **** you LG.
Since it's not rooted the easiest option seems to be to flash the update, however it just launches TWRP and does nothing. I found no way to actually download the update and keep it on the device so that I can manually tell TWRP to flash it.
So: Is there a way to download said update and flash it through TWRP? Or should I root it and delete the stupid update tool? I really don't want to flash a stock recovery.

Freeze or uninstall Software Update (LG proprietary, i.e., closed source, app) - may require root. That should stop the annoying requests. If you are able to upgrade you will lose TWRP and will have to re-flash TWRP again. You may want to consider that you do not have the latest Google security patches by not doing the update, putting your Dad's phone more at risk.

It's not like LG updates security patches that often so it's not that big of a deal if I can't update it.
It's also fine if I lose TWRP during the process, I just want to avoid flashing stock recovery just for the sake of updating it.
And I still can't download the update and keep it. I don't know where it puts the update after downloading it. I couldn't find it in TWRP.

It helps if you include your phone model when looking for specific firmware updates.
If you're Dad's phone is an H815, there are some v20p downloads available here: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h815-firmwares/firmwares/
In order to flash in TWRP without losing TWRP, you would have to remove the stock recovery and create a flashable zip ...
Easiest is to simply freeze or remove the lg Software Update app as I indicated - the annoying update notification should then disappear ...

This update does not contain any security fixes it's just for the new European data protection law..
First thing you should try is:
Upgrade TWRP.
Do a full TWRP backup!
Test android update again.
Second thing:
Have you tried the LG bridge windows software to update?
If so and it fails there too you can find the update when you try to Flash it within the LG folder of your Windows PC afterwards use this KDZ file and lgup to flash it.
There is a chance that when using the internal updater that you can find the update file when in TWRP in /cache in a folder fota but it will likely be in a LG specific format so may don't help you much.
Third thing :
Disable the LG updater within TWRP (search for a howto)

12.5 update on QGGMIXM

So, this may be a dumb question but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I have my phone for almost two years now, and it used to get the updates the right way, until the 12.0.7, then it just stopped getting any updates, when I checked it says "no updates avaliable".
Searching yesterday, I manage to update it to 12.0.8 by changing the device region to India, but it just stopped there, I can't update to 12.5 or further.
While searching i've seen that the devices different from QGGMIXM (which mine is), like RGGMIXM already got the updates.
I even tried to install the 12.5 update (for RGGMIXM) manually and it said it could not verify the update.
Is there any way to change QGGMIXM to RGGMIXM or to get the update without changing it? Any help are appreciated

1/ Just tried vpn, didn't work
2/ Neither downgrading or upgrading worked, downgrading says it's unable to downgrade and tried to upgrade says it couldn't verify the update
3/ I haven't tried this yet, but I'm guessing it'll be the only way to update it.
