LG G8 (T-Mobile) - disabling home & stock phone = broken phone - LG G8 Questions & Answers

T-Mobile Lg G8 on latest software. I'm trying to debloat and disable things I don't use and I've run into a couple issues. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same:
When disabling LG's home app (obviously I have others installed) the swipe up gesture for recent app stops working.
When disabling LG's phone app (I have the Google Phone app installed), I continually get error popups regarding the phone app stopping.

[Q] Somethings Wrong with my S4

Hi guys, I never posted here but am trying to find some help. I've had my S4 for quite a while now, and I just factory reset everything because I kept getting a "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped." message that wouldn't go away or let me use my phone without an interruption literally every 2 seconds. But before I even had that problem, there were worse problems as well. There are two things that occur frequently:
1. Sometimes, when I tap on an icon, the indicator light shows up (a glow around the icon), but the app itself does not open. Then, if i tap on it repeatedly, nothing happens. I can temporarily fix this problem by opening up the recent/opened apps list (holding home button) and clearing everything (or clicking on that app if it had been opened). Once cleared, I can tap it again and it would open. As you might see, this can get very annoying and troublesome after doing it so many times. Is there anyway I can permanently fix this so that I don't need to keep clearing the open apps list?
2. Sometimes, when I unlock my screen, exit an app, press the home button, or clear the opened app list (as mentioned above), my wallpaper changes to an app. The app is usually random and sometimes is not one that I had opened. For example, the background of my messaging app or Astro File Manager would show up even if I had not recently opened it at all. I can also temporarily fix this by clearing the recent/opened apps list (as mentioned in #1). After clearing this, the wallpaper resets. Is there any way I can fix this permanently as well?
3. Snapchat and VSCO Cam constantly "stop unexpectedly". I don't know if this is a firmware or incompatibility issue, but it usually works fine. This message pops up once in a while and isn't too burdensome, but is still quite annoying.
Thank you for all the help in advance. I am trying to get the most out of my phone and appreciate any help.
Are you running stock or custom and has anything changed since you factory reset?

It's stock right now. Not rooted or anything at all. I didn't really change much of the device internally, only downloaded a couple of apps, but those have been working fine since the beginning. It is running Kit Kat, 4.4.2. I am currently using Nova Launcher as my home screen replacement.

[Q] Apps crash after screen unlock, please help.

Hi everybody. I bought my g pro in december 2013 and haven't had any major issues up until now. The issue at hand is as follows:
- very often when I start an app that can work under lock screen, it works fine but when I swipe to unlock my screen it crashes/disappears. It happens to my recorder app, utorrent and other apps, also
- if there are any notifications like new SMS,facebook, viber and other message notifitions, they disappear (which is quite annoying).
My phone is e988 Taiwanese version, never rooted, stock android 4.1.2, BUT updated OverTheAir to the only 10b update (which is still 4.1.2). Please help and thanx in advance

LG G3 Google Music lag and no more trusted places

I just bought LG G3 and upgraded to Lollipop immediately. The phone is far from snappy as was my G2. It would be ok, however some apps are almost unusable, such as Google Music. It runs on 5-10 fps, especially when sliding the menu from the side. Is there a fix to this problem? Tried playing with settings, thermal mods in secret menu, different launchers, factory resetting but nothing helped.
Also after the last factory reset trusted places from smart lock are gone. Google play services are up to date. Any ideas how to bring it back?

LG G3 slow?

Hello, my LG G3 has gone strange lately. I've been experiencing some issues with the software. I've recently gone from Kitkat to Lollipop and now my phone all of a sudden got very sluggish. Apps are starting to crash, camera app not working, can't sign in to google, and other issues. When I mean I can't sign into google, I mean that whenever I attempt to sign in, the app just freezes there for like forever until I turn off my phone. Speaking of turning off my phone, I can't really turn it off because when I shut it down, it shows a black backround showing T-Mobile (since I have the D851) logo and won't shut down! I need some help.
I have found the Marshmallow software to be more stable and generally faster than the lollipop build. I recommend updating to marshmallow.

[Q] "Mini View" Already Broken?

When I first received the device, Mini View was working fine. All of sudden though, it has stopped working. The only thing that changed is I applied a different theme. Would that have caused it to stop working?
LG G7 Thinq - Same issue.
Also happened to me after installing Nova Settings desktop and Gravity Screen apps.
Reached out to both hoping they might have a solution as I think that is what is causing it (although I really don't know if that is the actual problem).
Working food me with different native LG themes
