Persistent reading mode - Redmi Note 8 Questions & Answers

whenever the sun falls a weaker reading mode is activated. I tried to program to activate reading mode between 23:59 and 00:00 and it didn't work. I don't know if it's a configuration somewhere or a bug. This is annoying me a lot because I stay up at night.

Areoplane mode automatically turns on.

Everyday at exactly 00:00 my phone automatically switches to aeroplane mode.
I am one of the dereaded 'noobs', had a search through Google and this forum and can't seem to find any solutions.
I'm running ics android 4.0.0.4.
Sense version; 4.1.
Thanks in advance for your time.
Are you not switching to a profile that has airplane mode enabled at night?

[Q] Strange airplane mode/gps issue

So noticed something odd.
turning airplane mode on and off doesn't change the gps mode switch (which is fine imho, gps is a sensor like the inclinometer or magnetic compass)
BUT, it interferes with apps ability to access the gps data
ie. airplane mode is on, gps switch is on, run an app that uses gps data and it never sees it even though the status bar will say 'searching for gps' but never sees or locks any satellites.
if you turn off airplane mode it works just fine, if you reenable airplane mode it will continue to work.
tried using lgs online chat and got nothing but idiots, first one insisted the gpad didn't have gps that it used wifi and cellular signals to simulate location finally got him to send me to someone else and this guy insisted that airplane mode should disable all communication and that gps was communication then after trying to explain the difference between active transceiver systems and passive sensor systems he abruptly disconnected the chat without saying anything...
suffice to say not too pleased with lg support right now
anyhoo, anyone elses pad doing this?

Did ambient mode change with the KGW42R update?

Has anyone noticed ambient screen mode working differently since the update, or is it just me? With all the talk about better battery life, I thought I'd try keeping ambient mode on to see what kind of battery life I'd get. I didn't regularly use ambient mode before the update, but I did play around with it. Before the update, it seemed that the watch stayed dimly lit (ambient mode) most of the time while wearing it, but bringing my wrist up would make the screen come fully on. Now, it seems like it goes completely off immediately when I drop my wrist, and when I raise it, it lights up dimly in ambient mode, and I actually have to touch it to get the fully-on mode. It does seem to be more sensitive and reliable coming (dimly) on in ambient mode than it is in non-ambient mode, but still, in bright light conditions, it means I actually have to touch it before I can even see it (or use it).
Am I the only one seeing this?
Nothing changed, that's the way it's always worked

Are you sure? I don't remember it being that way, and if that were the case, Ambient mode would be BETTER for battery life than regular mode, because the 360 goes off just as fast as regular mode, and won't come fully on unless you actually touch it. When I played around with it before, I'm positive it would come fully-on when I raised my wrist. Now it never will.

Just tried it out and I remember it being different as well. But I now use facer. And some faces do not show when dimmed. You have to manually update that setting in facer or whatever program you are using. But saying that if you tilt your watch away from you further, the face will shut off and for me, when it becomes more horizontal, the face dims on. So, yes, it worked like it did as it first did, but to me is a bit more sensitive to the angles of the watch.
Nevermind. I saw in another thread that someone recommended restarting the 360 after the update. Did that, and now it's working as I remember, where it still comes on fully when I raise my wrist. It was the fact that I actually had to touch it to make it come on fully that was bothering me. Now, it comes on dimly as I start to raise my wrist, and fully when I fully raise my wrist, without the need to touch it. That's as it should be.
I guess the take-away is that if the 360 is doing something weird after the update, restart it.

My A520F goes into some-sort of power-save mode

At least once a day the WiFi goes off, as well as the BT, the ringer goes into vibrate mode, display timeout drops to 15 seconds.
Nothing is set to turn on the power save function as far as I can see, but I did notice it's happening more often around midnight.
Please help, it's getting really frustrating to see a lot of missed calls and such because of that.
I'm using Nougat and I'm rooted.
Thanks for any advice that can help me resolve this.

Persistent Reading Mode activated

Since I have this phone, whenever the sun falls, the screen turn into an orange tone, the reading mode; but I do have this option disable, not scheduled neither permanently activated. I would like to know is there's anyone with this problem too or how to fix It.
Thanks.
