successfully booted of from 8.1, and looks pretty smooth, no cam issues, no wifi issues, no slider issues, substratum works nicely along it, magisk works fine, what can i say it's near perfect

If so it is not needed on this GSI as any gsi that is made aftr september 2019 using ErfanGSI tools implement the fixes in the Gsi itself

-tryed internet browsers Bromit and Opera - at random time laggy for a minute and again start worked good/normally
-icons and buttons re too large at Control Center

You can edit the button sizes at developer options by changing the width. (I use 399)

For root flash the Phh magisk which is provided in the thread....
DO NOT USE NORMAL MAGISK...IT WILL CAUSE BOOTLOOP

hello yesterday I installed the rom and for what little I tried, there is no internet of mobile data, there is no brightness bar, there is no flashlight where the toggles are, and when I wanted to install the gapps or bitgapps I get an error that there is no space available or something like that but in the rom the playstore appears but when I start it it does nothing. the rom is very good, it has those errors but keep working because it is a very good rom. (Tested on J7 2016 - J710MN)

Yeah, and don't forget to flash Magisk with TWRP 3.2.3-1 only. Newest version cause bootloop of system after flashing TWRP, and Fox Recovery too.

If you don't want install Google APPS, there is somes good alternatives now, it's possible to install "Aurora Store" wich is an open source alternative of the playstore, it could work with or without google account and install apps, bypass restriction, bypass phone models, and bypass country.
It's possible to install Aurora service as Magisk Module too, for a full integration like the Playstore when you install any app.

Tried with Arrow OS...
So far sooo good...!! Looks smooth, with a decent battery life, working FP etc.... Overall ROM usability looked good...
As far as I noticed, it has hotspot bug. Also, some small app force stops for display>style/wallpaper section. Once fixed, this ROM could be the best for usage.

One more issue is after we install the GAPPS package above basic, on-going call view is hidden/not displayed. Hence we cannot disconnect the call. Seems it happens due to the stock dialer being replaced from the GAPPS package. Any idea how to fix this?

NOTES:
Descendant have FBE enabled. So take backup and format data before flashing (Not by just wiping data from advanced option, by formatting data in Format Data option), else it will reboot to recovery again and again.
If you have any problem regarding FBE then you can ask in our device specific support group HERE.
If you are already in previous build with fbe then just dirty flash new update.

when you enable dark mode mobile keep restarting
just annoyining and in my side it solved when re flashed the rom

X00TD, is the second one on the list now.rom is ok for me, make sure to install some firmware before rom and check if your recovery is updated

Try latest potato treble. It's cool

I flashed descendant os a/b treble built, everything is working so far but the ui is not my cup of tea.

Tried android 12 Beta gsi-gms yesterday, no luck...
Data partition does not install at all, so phone stuck on fastboot screen.

You mean the version developed by Google? The one I've linked up is the pixel gsi version ported by some dev on github to work with android phones on pie and up, my friend got it working on his realme device but i personally didn't test it on my p20 lite because i recently installed los 18 and I'm happy with it so far.
