OEM unlock in Dev options just allows the bootloader to be unlocked.
Now follow this

I would download Flashtool if you didn't already have it and use it to root your phone. You can use it to flash ftf files without having to use the PC Companion and it has built in root functionality.
You can't root firmware .62 or above. Either downgrade to .58 or lower, or live without root since you're not planning on unlocking
that's also my trouble and i don't know why!!!!
i tried a lot of ways and didn't work so please help me also -_-.....

There is a thread for unbricking the phone. You could try the solutions outlined there.

thank you. now the 2nd question is how to prevent this error. unsecure bootloader?
I don't have the answer to your 2nd query. I haven't yet attempted to root my phone.
I can only suggest to try again after unbricking, or use a different rooting method...
I'll leave this question to more experienced people here.

I already posted an inquiry to another thread. hopefully there is a simple way to load an unsecure bootloader, or a simple guide.

Have you unlocked the bootloader after rooting?i know, stupid question from me,but i have to be sure. Of course you unlocked the bootloader, because otherwise root is pretty useless, since you can't flash cwm and uninstall some system apps without having those issues you mentioned.

First attempt to use WiFi tether, so it would fail.
Then open sqlite editor,
open Settings Storage
settings.db
system
search for "entitlement ".
It will show "tether_entitlement_check_state"
change the value from 5 to 0.
Reboot & En-joi

OK. Can you or anyone help me get on the next step?
The phone is rooted, but under such strict terms with the supported Oneclickroot, featured on XDA and no...nothing.
I don't know what to do next. My tech abilities are not as they used to be.
What next? Link?
*confused*

First you need to unroot it, you can do that from settings screen in supersu.
Then magisk installation is simple: flash magisk zip in twrp.

That's what I'm looking for. But if I unroot, will I be able to do magisk.apk to install directly on the phone, or do I need to learn more about it using a PC to root it again..sorry for the trouble.

Yep. I'm afraid. This is my daily driver. So I flash the zip. Obvious reasons. But this means everything gets wiped right?
I appreciate your time helping me. I'm starting to see a clear picture now with root

Z2 Force XT1789-03 already updated to PIE and sim unlocked

Hi
I just bought used z2 force sprint XT1789-03. It is updated to stock Android PIE. But no twrp is installed. I want to install twrp and then use any custom roms. Please guide me as I heard there are many issues when trying to do this. Some information I have attached. Also more importantly I want root access more than the custom rom.

You are lying, or fooled by others
There is no stock Android PIE for sprint XT1789-03
From the bootloader screen , the baseband information shows it comes from Android 7 firmware version
