Spellcheck - Moto G7 Play Questions & Answers

When I use Google Messages, the spell check rarely gives me good recommendations to correct a misspelled word.
What I am doing wrong?
Any help will be appreciated.

[Q] Swype issues?

So Swype scanned all my contacts for names I guess, but some of my contacts have everyday words in them (such as Utah). Every time I type something and Utah comes up, I try to change it and it gives that notification that I can delete it, even though it's a state and should be in the dictionary anyway.
Also, a lot of the words in the dictionary I don't think are real words, so it annoys me when I try to type something and some nonexistant word comes up that I can't delete from the dictionary.
Anyway I attached some screenshots to illustrate this. Anyone have any ideas? I've tried clearing data and reinstalling Swype. I'm running the latest version of Virtuous ROM with S-off.
I think the new swype added contact names to the dictionary. The word utah is standard in my dictionary.. Weird, I would go on the swype forums and see what they say

[Q] Where is the personal dictionary file kept for saved words?

As petty as this might seem to some, i really would benefit greatly by having my saved dictionary from my EVO so i could use it on my htc jetstream. The list of hundreds of words I have saved is really killing me that I have to type then and save them all on my Allstream.
Does anyone know how to extract that file?
I'm referring to settings> language and keyboard> touch input > personal dictionary

Search predicitons not working in some text fields.

When i'am using the swiftkey keyboard, (or swype for that matter), i do not get word predicitons in some text fields such as :-
1) Stock browser Search
2) Google Play Search Box,
And many other places.
IT is quite annoying because, the main idea of these apps is to provide meaningful predictions.. Is there anyway to fix this?
But what to Fix?

No. There's nothing wrong to get fixed!
Even with the HTC Sense Input, we don't get word suggestions in Stock or any other browser's address bar and play Store Search box as there we don't need any grammer.
The phone knows that the name of the website (in case of browser's address box) and the name of an app (in case of play store's search box) may not be there feeded in the dictionary. The names of the websites or apps aren't words that are there in a dictionary. But when you type a message, you're typing a language which needs grammar and these words used are there in the dictionary so the phone will automatically provide you word suggestions.

Dude, I agree in case of google play you probably don't require predictions..
But, wouldnt it be helpful if you had predictions if if u were searching for something loooong in the browser..
And as i said , they were only two examples... the predicions also don't work in text fields of 3rd party apps.
with swype u can save a word in the custom dictionary and, just "swype" to get those words/email id's/usernames/numbers passwords even in ANY text
So its was quite annoying when i switched over to swiftkey.
I heard the bug is fixed in android 4.0.4? Is there a workaround?

Spell check tab 3 8

I use an external keyboard so I don't have any help spelling from predictive spelling. Also there is no red underlines to show you the spelling errors. I have heard google allows it but Samsung removes it? Is this true, how can the bluetooth keyboard users get some spell checking?

Hmm. Easy for you to say. I can't imagine why it won't work.
This happens when I set more languages in Google Settings / Voice and set default language other than English.
In my case, I am using Slovak language as default to be able to send text messages from watch in Slovak language.
English is secondary and watch cannot recognize my commands when I say them in English.
E.g. "Send text to ..." won't be recognized no matter what so I have to choose this action manually.
The one and only action I find out thar works so far is "Show me my heartrate".
