I tried to bind my account, but the message "Connect to the network and try again" always appears. I tried using VPN, changed network, used WiFi, but still. Do I have to change ROM to the Indian version? (I'm currently in miui 9 and it doesn't look like an official build) or is there another solution?

try reflashing the rom? always works for me
The mobile was bought unbranded but in had installed " T-Mobile" firmware.
I have tried everything to root the device but with no success.
How can i reflash a firmware?

yeah you can find of rooting phone in general section.and also you can do factory reset your phone.if you dont want to root your phone.
I had an older version of Hulu plus running fine on my phone (Pacman ROM), but yesterday, it all of the sudden stopped working. I am getting the following message,

Then I tried this version, and this version, and the version from pimp my rom...but I'm still getting the buffering network issues message.
Is there an Adblock automatically enabled in PACman that I am not aware of (if that's the problem)? Does anyone have a hulu plus apk that is currently working (old or new...I don't care)

i just installed the ROM [Jan 27 2013]MildWild CM-8.0 JG Stable, everything works fine, but i am unable to add a gmail account which has the 2 Step verification enabled.
it gives me the wrong PW/Username error. But i am typing the correct ones(tried ot login chrome on the phone to my account, without any issues)
Any thoughts?

You are 100% sure you are typing everything correctly?
Try this: Change your account password, then try again.
If it doesn't work, and just to be sure that it's the ROMs fault, try using a different account. If the error persists, reflash the ROM.

It works with a different account, but there i don't have the 2 step verif. enabled. (i verified the PW i type in is correct)
So there are issues with the more secure accounts.
Any thoughts?
Try to conect your account from mail application, not from gmail. I am using and trying most of the MildWild roms and dont have this problem.

this thread can be closed.
It seems that this ROM is not compatible with the 2 step verification OOB.
A workaround is to just generate the PW in google accounts security for one device and add the account with it.
I'm using "MildWild CM-8.0 JG Stable" and the only problem is WiFi---when i am home everything is great but when i try to connect to someone else's or in town sometimes it is connected and full strenght but it won't go to the internet it says it's not connecteed (retry)..and sometimes just says it not connected..
But when i'm home everything is fine..

Hi I just bought a new lg g3 and I signed in with my google account but even if im signed in, it dosen't seems to work. Everything connected to my google account just load for ever. I tried an other account and had the same problem, I even did a factory reset but i still have the same problem. What's strange is that my account is working on my other phone and on my computer. Any idea about what is happening?

Can you post a screenshot of any errors that you encounter?

Are you using stock or have you flashed a custom rom? also what's your connection like (possible slow connection ?) and are you able to try a different WIFI AP or Mobile data ?

I am using the stock rom and i'm not even rooted, my connection is pretty fast for everything else and yes i tried with mobile data but it didn't work

My note 5 pro bootloader is unlocked and was linked to my Mi Account earlier. Later on, I installed AOSP Extended ROM and used it for few days. Today I tried to installed Miuipro and Globerom and this where thee problem started. These roms installed ok and booted up as well but i got the "Activate this device". Usually i used to enter my MI account password and it would unlock and i was able to proceed with further setup. But today, when I entered my password, it said "couldn't verify mi account id. can't connect to the network".
I tried changing the password for my Mi account but its the same issue. So, I logged in to my Mi Cloud account and removed the device from my account hoping that would delink the device from my account, but that did not happen.
I tried installing official rom, did not work, did a format of the device and then installed the rom again, not working, installed the latest firmware, not working
Im able to install custom roms and use the device without any issues but unable to install any MIUI based rom Official or Custom.
Can someone please help me get out of this situation?
It's a server problem. I wasnt able to login or logout my miaccount. Some users also reported this on the whyred channel on telegram.
I was getting the same error. Searched the whole internet there was not a single solution ,gettin answers like thats the server problem.
Then i created my own solution
Used Zero Vpn
Changed Server To Uk
Then Boom. It Activated In A Second

Yes that was also the solution we're using from the group.
Please keep us posted, if this issue has been resolved. I am eager to flash MIUI 10 latest global. Currently on AOSIP as my deviced is locked and unable to sign-in.

Yes, i was able to resolve the issue by following the vpn method. First install official Miui 9.5.13. When you install this version, you will get an option to skip the Mi account verification process. After completing the setup, install a VPN app, I used Turbo VPN as Zero vpn did not work for me. Set the server to UK and then go to Settings > Mi Account > Sign In
Once you sign in, go to the Mi account again and sign out and confirm. this will delete the device from your account and you won't be asked to activate the device when you install MIUI 10.
