Hello Eagle-no1,
I have the same tablet, and looking for Custom ROMs for it since 6-8 months now. So far found nothing, at least not for "Global" version of it.
Mine is the M2-801L model, with the latest official B208 ROM installed on it (Android 6.0).
If you need any details on official ROMs, check my other posts on that topic.
Custom ROMs for this tablet seem to be a pain in the back side, because of the Kirin 930 - official explanation (where the same CPU is on the other Huawei models like Honor P8 or X2 and still lots of custom ROMs are available for those) - not sure what would be the unofficial reason if any...
Hope this helps anyhow.
Have a nice day.
Kind Regards.

Camera not working in pie

Hi guys,i am using mi max hydrogen and i flashed my device to pie through TWRP recovery and everything is fine except camera, i tried almost every pie ROM, but camera and flash not working. Please help me .if any one found soultion
What camera is not working? The one that came with your rom? Did you try to install other camera apps if they work?
I tried every possible way, the camera carshes everytime. Snapdragon camera, even gcam all failed. There is no problem before flashing os .i think every mi max users facing this problem. But developers not considering bcz it is outdated devices
Did you had flashed stock gapps package with your pie ROM .
I know your frustration since I also see the same problem before. however, now I have it working. here is the solution:
1) You can use Lineage OS 16 by karzim, but don't take the latest one. Use "2019/01/28" version. To be safe, don't enable encryption.
2) Need to flash latest MiMax "Stable" firmware MIMAXGlobal_V10.2.1.0.NBCMIXM
3) If you want to use latest GCAM with nightmode, use MGC_6.1.021_RP1_V1.3.1-BSG version. It's working on back camera but front camera have problem to save the file.

[XT1799-2] Supported roms needed

Hello guys,
I'm looking for working and tested roms on XT1799-2 64GB/4GB (aka Green Pomelo / Qingyou).
XT1799-2 isn't so popular like other "montana" cellphones, but some people looking for newer android roms than 7.1.1.
If you have some experience just give feedback.
Ps. If you have original stock GLOBAL rom 7.1.1 pls share.
Best regards, FB
Hi. I'm in the same situation. The stock firmware is here:
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/montana_retcn/official/RETCN/
Only chinese and english supported.
Look on 4pda, crdroid and RR for xt1799-2,
If you are looking for Oreo Rom for Chinese vesrion of xt 17999-2 then my sincere advise if to not try any rom other than ZUI rom. Thats the best of all available roms. I ruined my xt 1799-2 in search of oreo. Its front cam is not working on oreo as front cam is different than other variants. While i cannot downgrade bootllader so flashing some part of rom is not helping me. In some roms my sims are not working and in other finger print sensor is not working while downgrading witout falshing gpt.bin file. Cannot flash gpt.bin because then I will permanently loose iemi.

No Audio on Mi Max 3 Lineage OS 16

Hi Guys,
I installed TWRP, Lineage OS and the latest firmware.
Everything works great except for Audio.
Can you tell me what I forgot to make audio work?
TWRP Version twrp-3.3.1-0-nitrogen
Lineage OS Version lineage-16.0-20191016-UNOFFICIAL-nitrogen
Firmware Version: fw_nitrogen_miui_MIMAX3Global_V11.0.2.0.QEDMIXM_4eb86f33af_10.0
thanks
I read through all possible forums again and couldn't find any help.
Does anyone have any advice for me on what I can do?
Without audio, it's very bad
nice support
Most people dtay with MIUI or use Pie custom roms as there are problems with 10. So its hard for to help when You never used it.
Next proble is that You should to write in roms thread not here, so...

new user of mi mix 2

Hi all! As I mention it, I just bought this cellphone completely new (it is the one that best suited my budget in my country) I had a Lenovo a6020 so I'm not so lost in the custom roms and modifications. How I said the is new so it has android 7, I already unlocked the boot and I have twrp in the latest version but I don't know if from android 7 (miui) I can jump directly to PE + 10. I have read but can't find if you need a previous version. Taking advantage of the theme and I hope it does not break the rules I will like to know if this rom (pixel expierence) incorporates a version of gcam, If not, which version do you recommend, or is the official camera better? Thank you all! Excuse my lousy English, I'm still learning
@c510k
See firmware xda thread from link below to update to latest firmware and flash firmware when you flash your rom in custom recovery.
