Link to Original kdz firmware (any version) for Best Buy bought G7 fit? LM-Q850QM? - LG G7 Fit Questions & Answers

Hello!
I'm desperately in need of original kdz. I crossflashed it to European kdz, and discovered, that modem/voice part stopped working at all.
I have worked my way trough all publicly available files, and all suffer same problem, no connectivity, I'm getting instant error when searching for operators, so basically modem is bricked.
If someone could share a link for a kdz, or the file, preferably Oreo (I can upgrade to Pie later, if it's required), I'd be very happy.

did you solve your problem?
I, too, foolishly flashed the phone with European firmware, hoping that I can always return to stock, but I can’t find q850qm

I am still fighting, but see light at the end of tunnel.
First, LG Europe (as I am located in Europe) has been extremely unhelpful. This is in stark contrast to my other interactions with them I had so far.
Second, I have recently located a repair shop which claims they actually have means to repair it. I'm sending them my phone today or tomorrow, depending on my time, and they should be done with it in a week.
I will report if they succeeded, and if they do I will try to rip the secret out of them.

I got the G7 fit back.
No luck with fix
I guess I'll use it as a 3D printer monitoring device.

Can't go back to stock

OK, so I have a big problem.
My screen suddendly stopped reponding on a large middle portion of it, so I'm sending it off for repair or exchange. I was rooted and running a custom rom (infected CM11), so I wanted to get it back to stock before.
But I followed every damn tutorial I could find in here, as well as in LG G2 and Optimus' forums, but it just won't work. R&D test tool keeps opening LG flash tool, and just refuses to flash the KDZ I have sideloaded.
The big issue might be this : I have lost my serial number when I flashed the KK leak, and I have sent my original sticker to LG because where I live, there was a 50€ off offer that required me to send it to them. I found on the internet a serial number, and it seems to be working.
Anyone has an idea as to what I might do ?

I also lost my serial with the leaked 4.4.2, however I just flashed my backup and got it back. If you have a backup (which you really always should do), flash it and then follow the tutorial to return to stock again. If you dont have a backup I dont really know but you could try flash CM again.

I had a backup, but not from Stock Rom, and my serial with AOSP seems to be different... I'm in the process of flashing with an offline procedure, but it's hanging at 4%.

Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 wifi stock firmware needed - how to restore to stock?

I have been scouring the internet for a while and cannot seem to find a way to revert my tablet back to stock. I tried the Lollipop firmware for a while and wanted to restore the tablet to possibly sell it. I can't find any method to recover it nor the files. The full model number is SM-T520NZKAXAR. It is the wifi only model. Can anyone help me please? I also currently have the TWRP recovery on it.
Thanks.

Thank you but I've looked there. I can't seem to find a match for my model number or any USA model. I read somewhere that the cellular south file will work but I'm a little hesitant to try flashing it. Mine is the WIFI only model.
If that were the case, it would either be a T525 (LTE), or possibly a T521 (3G). So anything listed as 'SM-T520' on Samfirmware should be OK. Having taken a look the US is not listed there. I have seen the Cellular South (XAR), as the possible option. But I doubt it has anything to do with any 3 ~ 4G connectivity, as the T520 has none.
It's possibly worth mentioning that these 'codes' (i.e. XAR), isa CSC Code. e.g. retail location in most cases. So assuming XAR is the USoA then this would be your choice.
Just one thing that you probably already knew, but is it really worth downgrading back to stock? The Knox Flag has already been blown. So NO KNOX on said Device ever again. Which would be about the only reason I could think for downgrading back to stock. Which IMHO would be a touch immoral if you wanted to resell it to someone who otherwise wouldn't have a clue.

def not mine was in deep sleep mode and i didn1t know it and now i use temasek ,it`s out of warranty ofc but bugs and error and lags from bull**** sa,sung apps are gone. cyanogen 13 modded flies like 5 times more than stock i play on tablet do a lot of stuff never had any problem in almost 1 year i can do offline backup a lot of perks.at some point when s3 will come i will sell it like this 32gb sd card leather case,i love this device.so no point going back to stock ever i always flash every new device
Thanks. I may give the cellular south file a try someday. The latest Cyanogenmod is working well. I was having problems with one of the older versions. The touch screen was acting goofy sometimes.
Have you tried https://samsung-firmware.org/?
Cellular South *is* the USA version. If you want to restore to US stock version, Cellular South is what you need. I don't know why they name it that way.

Well, I'm screwed.

I cross-flashed my Verizon LG G7 with LGUP to the UK Firmware. I then realized that my CDMA service wouldn't work with that firmware. "Luckily" I had a firmware dumped on my computer. I went to go flash it and, lo and behold, it didn't work. Why? "Corrupted or invalid". I went "great", and then decided to keep trying as many things as I could. The mobile repair apps couldn't fix it, so I tried "chip erase" with LUP. Now my IMEI is gone. And I'm sending this device to LG.
I tried using QPST to fix it but it isn't recognizing my device. I have no idea what to do anymore, and I think I'm just screwed.

Hope that LG accepts it. If not then you will have to find a version kdz file if any exists.

LG G8 sprint "Download mode"

Good afternoon friends. I still have a problem on my phone "your device has failed a routine safety ..." after I locked the bootloader. I gave it unofficial for repair, they could not do anything there. But now, for some reason, my phone does not load in edl9008 mode, but there is dowmload mode as on other lg devices (in theory, it should not be). So the question is, how to flash the phone via download mode to any other firmware? The main thing for me is that it starts and I can return twrp to restore my native firmware. Yesterday I tried it through uppercut, lgup didn't work. Does anyone have any knowledge of how to download kdz to this phone?
i wish someone would leak at least one sprint KDZ firmware

Don't think you'll ever see, in your lifetime, a sprint kdz. Nor will you see an at&t one.
It's very important to do some research, initially, before messing with your phone. It's common knowledge that these kdz don't exist, and, that is why we always want to do a full backup of our device, especially when the kdz isn't (nor will ever be) available.
So where are u now? what's the situation? I ask because there are sprint backups around (from individual personal devices), that, if done carefully, can be used to fix a device without messing up the imei and s/n.

Just bought a new G8 AT&T LM-G820UM, G820UM10m. Best way forward?

Hi, I need some support.
Last week I bought a 'new ' G8 AT&T, unlocked phone, that will replace my beloved G7.
The G8 seems to work ok with my operator, here in Sweden.
It has Android 9, and the software version is G820UM10m.
I would like to get a newer android version and get rid of everything AT&T.
I have just read the guide "[Tutorial] Crossflash, Bypass OPID Mismatched Error", but not all the 64 pages.
My questions, before I begin my adventure:
Is this guide the most suitable for me, or are there newer better ways?
Which version of firmware is the best option for me, considering where I live, and my phones current state ? (From what I have read so far, LM-G820QM should be a good option.)
Which Android version is the best option for my phone? Should/Can I go for the latest version straight away?
Is the best source of firmwares https://lg-firmwares.com or where do you find get your firmwares from?
Thanks!

Lots of questions. The best version would be the most current version that has the support for the carriers in your area. Only you can decide that, sometimes we change which rom to use when we switch carriers. So, it would be best to find an 'open' version (QM) that also supports the needed bands for carrier.
And of course, the open versions have much less carrier specific 'bloatware'.
That guide is not only the best, it's the only So yes, that's what you follow. That site for firmware is good, there may be others, it's been a while for me. I'd suggest to do a full phone firmware backup before proceeding with anything. There are quite a few partitions you want a copy of, so rather than risk a mistake of forgetting one, just backup the entire device, completely.
then you can proceed without fear of being able to 'get back to original'. Good luck.
Thank you for your reply!
Good that it was the "one and only" guide
Last night I spent some hours trying to get things right.
I took a tiny step (since I didn't know better) and tried to replace my G820UM10m (AT&T, Android 9) with a G820QM20f version (US open Android 10) that I found.
Now I have don't have the AT&T bloatware anymore, but my phone says it has software version G820UM20f , and NOT G820QM20f .
I was hoping it would be QM, with as many bands as possible unlocked.
As it is right now it seems to be a bit "so so" with internet connection when I'm not on Wifi, so I need to solve that somehow before I can start using the phone for real.
(When I tried to install, it did go to a "fastboot" menu before I got it to "download mode". Maybe that wasn't so good..)
On the pages here there is a lot of information.. and I need to read up a bit more about it. And I might ask silly questions again
Thanks again!

You're welcome, no worries. First I'd say just because it went to fastboot before download mode, don't worry, that's nothing.
2nd, it's not uncommon for the 'info' page to be a bit off, it gets that info from different sources, and some of them don't get updated during this process. It's not uncommon for that info to be 'off'.
The best way to determine if you have the bands needed for your carrier is to install and app from playstore that tells you which bands you're connected to, one I remember is called 'lte discovery', but there are many to choose from.
You might want to consider traveling around a bit to see which bands are available and where, bands like t-mo 71 are towards the outer parts of the town I was in.
good luck, it's fun.

Thank you for taking some of the stress off my shoulders .
I will try the app and see if I can find out which bands that are in use here.
My plan now is to crossflash "G820QM40a...." that I just downloaded.
I haven't reached the "fun" yet, but when I get the hang of it I guess I can enjoy it more

Hi,
Nah.. Right now my mobile has "T-mobile" firmware-
It has tried to update, but fails without any failure message.
It might be that I am in Sweden, using a Swedish sim/operator.
I wouldn't draw any conclusions based on my situation

It fails. It can't read my current version, according to the error message.
I have crossflashed my mobile multiple times now, so I am not surprised that LG Bridge is confused.
