SATALITE NAVIGATION FIR XDA??

Hi,
can someone recommend a suitable satalite navigation RECEIVER for the XDA please? (cheaper the better)

Hi I use a GLobalSat BT308 - works perfect on a number of PDA, Smartphones I use - PPC2003 and WM5 - I use DestinatorPN and Copilot

For new buyers, the BT338 is preferred instead of the BT308, because of the SiRFStarIII chipset (fast fix times).

Touch Pro2 (AT&T Tilt 2) FM Radio Question

I know the TP2 has a built in FM Radio. Will it also do HD Radio and/or AM Radio?

Definitely not on the AM Radio - It doesn't have the hardware for it. I suspect the HD Radio is out as well, but I'm not sure.

No I dont believe it can do AM or HD radio.
Has anyone gotten the FM radio to work without using headphones?

Won't work without headphones - it's the radio antenna.

But the nice thing is that with a decent streaming program you can easily play shoutcast or other streams which in my opinion is much better than any regular radio station!

i have a non-htc headphone adapter. its just bigger than a quarter. It still works with that plugged with no headphones...there must be a way to disable the headphone requirement because i think it will still work...any ideas?

Can you guys please share the FM application for HTC Touch Pro 2. A link in 4shared is greatly appreciated as I can't download using rapidshare.

No, only FM reception is possible.

i'm using an app called radiotime on the desire to stream 5 live. works very well (though obviously uses network data).... ended up with that as the default app wouldn't play the stream in the background.

myPlayer streams Radio 1-7 & Asian Network brilliantly

Couldn't find this on appmarket or appbrain so not sure where I got it from but it is avaiable to download from skynetsoftware dot com/myPlayer/index.aspx?platform=android
The 10 above apps are free to download but NDrive and TVU have limitations and require subscription. Waze and Ndrive obviously rely on the SGS GPS which isn't the most reliable/accurate.

p.s None of the apps need Root. I got froyo on my phone and all the apps work perfect. Especially Tango has improved with froyo

Android car radio app not remembering stations

Hi there,
Ik have a radio in my car that is fully android 4.4.4 from an unknown chinese brand named joyous. All is working fine, except there is one thing that is bothering me, and that is the radio app is not remembering my presetted radio stations after it has been fully shut down. Im 100 percent sure it has continious power (it has been measured). Every other setting there is, it remembers, it continues playing my mp3 files where i left of, it remembers which source i used last time etc. Only the radio presets will not be remembered. Is this a known issue and are there other apps (apk) that i can install to try if these will remember there settings?
