Max charging rate for Galaxy Fold? - Samsung Galaxy Fold Questions & Answers

Just bought the Galaxy Fold (coming in the mail) but I'm confused on what is the max charging rate for the Galaxy Fold. I know the included charger is 15w but upon some research I'm getting mix answers. Some reports say 15w is max and other reports are saying 25w is capable if you get the right charger.
Can anyone chime in?
PS. I did look at the official specs on Samsung's website and a lot of the info are inconsistent.
Thanks

I cant remember what the note 10+ charger was but that charges phone in like an hour 30 from 0 to 100 1 hour 50 not used the fold charger lol also have a Qualcomm 2.0 charger that takes 1 hour 30 to 40 prob 2 hours from 0 to 100

So, I just did a test.
I have 3 chargers here. A 25w Samsung charger from my note 10+, a Razr Quick charge 4+ and the Samsung 15w charger that came with the fold.
Fold is currently at 33%. When I plugged in the 3 different chargers the time showed on screen till charging is complete was:
25w Samsung: 1 hr 10 mins
Razr QC4+: 1 hr 10 mins
15w Fold Charger: 1 hr 28 mins
So it would look like the fold does use a bit of extra charge that the 25w and quick charge 4+ provides and is not limited to only 15w. I don't think it's using the full 25w though, as the note 10+ had a 4300mah battery and charged in 58 minutes in comparison to the extra 15 mins it takes on the fold.
Good to know though.

Double post whoops..

I went ahead and bought the 15w wireless charging stand since the Fold supports 15w wireless charging officially and it came with the same charger as the note (25w and I am assuming to charge the phone + built in fan)
Here are my results using the Ampere app (by no means this is a scientific test):

Fascinate wall charger WILL charge the GT 10.1

Interesting to me, though maybe already known:
I could not find my GT10.1 wall charger the other day, so on a whim I tried my Fascinate's wall charger (with GT 10.1 cable). This wall charger seemed to charge the GT 10.1 with no issue.

$0.43 + $3.48 shipping on Amazon - pretty cheap way to get a back-up to stick in my backpack.

As should any USB type charger. My iPhone charger and my Jawbone Icon headset charger worked as well but takes longer to charge due to the lower current rating.
Agree with MisterEdF.
I have the same plug with my Nexus S and my Epic. Both WILL charge but it's slow as hell and there's definitely the Red X letting me know that it's not the 5v2a charger the tab would like to see. Can't see why the Fascinate charger would be any different...
I believe that is a .5a charger and our tabs come with a 2a. The most it really can do is slow the battery drain. It'll take at least 4x the amount of time to charge.

I dunno. Over a ~couple hour period the battery went from 24% to ~50%. Not as fast as the stock charger, but certainly not zero.

It will slow the drain if you are using it but if you simply want to charge it over night it should be fine in a pinch.

And so will the B&N Nook Color charger. Essentially, any one will work but the standard, lower capacity ones might take forever to charge. The Nook Color charger provides ~1.9A @ 5 Vdc in place of the more standard sub-1 Amp chargers.

Review of Anker 25W (5V x 5A) 5-port wall charger w/lots of pics!!!

This is a review of Anker 25W, 5V x 5A, 5-port usb wall charger. http://www.ianker.com/product/71AN25W-W5A
Sometimes you look at the product and think, how come nobody released something like this already? And when it looks so compact and elegant, it adds to the value of it. We all probably got multiple "smart" devices in our home, phones, tablets, wireless speakers and headphones. Each one comes with a dedicate wall charger. Sure, you can use double port wall chargers, even as compact as Anker 3.6A 2-port charger I reviewed before, but beyond 2 ports you don't have too many choices.
This 25W 5-port charger is really compact. We are talking about 3.6" x 2.6" x 1" durable box with 5 full size usb faceplate connectors. With a weight of under 160g its light for traveling, and the AC input cable has it's own velcro strap. The spec is very simple, you get a total of 5A of current combined from all 5 ports. Every port is labeled with a specific designator for either Android or Galax Tab or iPad or iPhone. Since I don't have any iProducts, I don't have test results for it. But from previous experience, Anker always confirmed that if iPad label is present - it will charge latest iPad at full speed. I tested all 5 ports with my Note 2 and it was charging without a problem. As a a matter of fact, i had Note 2 plugged in and verified to be charging at full 2A speed, and had two Nexus 7 tablets charging along (while those are typically 1A each).
Overall its a great device and for $19.99 a great value! I noticed that Amazon says it will be back in stock on September 12th, so I guess there is already demand for it (no surprise). I was able to clean up my desk from multiple wall chargers and power strip just with this one little guy. Also don't forget, all Anker stuff comes with 18-months warranty and support they really stand behind!
Here are the pics.

RAVPower® Xtreme 23000mAh 3-Port Portable External Battery Charger with Multi-Voltage

GET IT HERE
Beast!!! :good::good: I could just say that and it would be enough. But I will tell more. For the price it is at right now, you simply cannot beat it. Nothing is close to this. Trust me I know. I have a ton of chargers. I outfitted my family and have plenty for me. But there is no doubt this is numero Uno for me right now! Most of my products are from RAVPower, the reason being is they have GREAT customer service and they ship very, very quick. I have had one charger go bad, and they immediately replaced it. Anyways let me tell you about this bad boy.
It can charge multiple devices, Smartphone’s, laptops, tablets, all Apple products and much more. You can charge three devices at the same time, yes I tried it. It didn't let me down. My laptop and 2 Smartphone’s. It charged them all very rapid and still had 30% power when I finished! Just as an illustration I charged my Smartphone alone the first time and it took 55 minutes and only took 13% of the charge. I also charged my laptop alone, it was at 50% and it took it appx. 50 minutes and it was charged fully and barely put a dent in the remaining charge. The battery's size comes in at 4.88" by 7.28", and its 0.75" thick. It comes with an AC adapter for the wall.
The design is sleek. It has a black chromium style look. The coolest new feature on a RAVPower product that I have seen is the LCD screen that shows the remaining charge and when connected. It also allows you to change the voltages. I hope they continue this with future devices.
It contains high quality reliable lithium-ion polymer battery cells. 2 USB Smart Ports to charge ALL devices at their max speed. It has a huge range of output voltage: 5V, 9V, 12V, 16V, 19V, 20V. It also contains the built in safety features that come with all RAVPower products. Protection for over charge, over voltage, over current, over temperature and short circuit.
Package includes: RAVPower Xtreme 23000mAh External Battery, 110 - 240V AC charger, an assortment of charging tips, a nice box case and a pouch to utilize for on the go. And ff course, the instruction manual.
I highly recommend this product. If you need lots of power, then this is a must have. Especially at that price it is now. My officially approved stamp of a great product!

[Review] Kmashi 15,000mAh Battery Pack

Overview
I recently got a Kmashi 15000mAh battery pack and I have been loving it. 15 Ah is a lot of juice for all devices I have, and I can always count on this to have some juice left. It is not just the numbers that amazed me, but I have used it for days without my charger with me. I can charge my OnePlus one and Galaxy Note 8 twice, and still have juice left to charge my iPhone and S6. This is an amazing product for people who travel a lot.
Specifications
Capacity - 15000mAh or 55.5Wh
Input - 5V/2A
Output 1 - 1amp 5V
Output 2 - 2amp 5V
Size - 81*156*21mm
Weight - ~450g
Real world performance
I have used this battery pack with two phones. I took screenshots of the battery input received from this battery pack. The first image is for OnePlus One and the other is for Galaxy S6. The battery pack doesn't support quick charge 2.0 and the maximum output is not as high as I expected it to be. The input rate measured was lower than the listed output on the battery specs section, but it definitely charged the devices pretty quickly; so, I am not complaining.
Experience
I have always wanted a battery pack that wouldn't die on me when I need it the most. I have had a 5000mAh and even a 10000mAh battery packs before this and they would die on me after two devices max. If I have to remember to charge my battery packs too, then I know for sure it is not working for me. I got this 15000 mAh battery pack from Kmashi in hopes of getting a battery pack that I can throw in my bag and forget about it. The battery in this is huge, and there is minimal loss of battery when the battery is not being used; therefore, this battery pack will keep on going with you. I have travelled with this device and my OnePlus One without my charger for 3 days, and I never missed my charger.
For all the travel lovers, keep in mind it is not a small or thin device. It is almost 3 times thicker than an iPhone 6. It is a heavy product, which you might not wanna carry in your pocket. It has 2 USB ports, but that has a catch. When you use both the USB ports together, the battery outputs a total of 2 amps, which means 1amp from each port.
In order to charge this battery pack, I used a 2.1 amp USB wall adaptor (not included in the box). The battery pack takes almost one night to charge from zero to full. It is not easy to sleep with this charging beside your bed, as it's blinking LEDs are very bright. They can brighten up a room more than any night lights you have seen. Putting an electric black tape on them while the device is being charged is a good solution.
Pros
Large capacity battery
Feel and finish is all plastic but doesn't creek
2 USB Port to charge
Cons
LEDs are very very bright
Scratches easily
Long charging time
No Quickcharge 2.0 support

There is not much to talk about the packaging, it’s simple and environment friendly. At the back of the package, we can find their company address, phone number and email for support.
Inside the package, we will have a charger, 2 USB cables, 1 manual, 1 VoltIQ sticker.
Here are our charger, naked.
Yes, there is also a manual for a charger, in case you don’t know how to charge your devices, you can open this manual, they will show you.
Let’s take a closer look at the charger. At the front of the charger, we can find Tronsmart logo, a small indicator light.
At the back, we can find the charger specifications, as we can see, it can charge at 5V/2.4A, 9V/2A, 15V/1.5A for each ports.
More fancy images
Let’s do the test, I will use a usb detector to monitor the charger voltage and ampere, this detector can monitor up to 9V/5A, and I will use my Zenfone 2 to test this charger which can charge maximum at 9V/2A so I think the detector will survive.
More fancy images
I will charge my phone from 10% to 100%, and monitor via Asus stopwatch app, as for new software update, Asus has changed how fast charge works, they will limit the ampere to 0.83A when the screen is on, and can only charge at maximum when the screen is off.
It took about 1 hour and 45 minutes to completely charged Zenfone from 10% to 100%, the phone itself would limit the ampere to 0.35A when it reached 90% so we could charge faster with full ampere.
So here are some pictures of the test.
Let's get started.
The phone is increasing the ampere when the screen is off.
It took 6 mins to charged 16%.
10 minutes to 22%.
23 minutes to 39%.
35 minutes to 52%.
54 minutes to 75%.
From this time, my phone was limited the ampere to normal charging, which took more time to fully charged. It took 1 hour 25 minutes to reach 93%.
1 hours 30 minutes to reach 96%.
And finally, the phone phone was fully charged in 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Conclusion
This is a great fast charger with a great build quality, solid USB cable for long time usage, build-in 2 quick charge 2.0 ports so you can charge 2 devices at the same time.
The only disadvantage from the charger is the temperature when you charge 2 devices at the same time, it’s really hot, I don’t have any device to monitor the temperature, but it was very hot when I touch the charger.
For the price of $21.99 USD, this is the best charger in its price range and a good alternative for original Asus BoostMaster charger which costs about $29.99 USD. You can buy this charger at.

Hello, I just want to know whether this charger is backwards compatible. Means if I have phone with no quick charge, 5v 2A input will it work..??
Regards
I'm more interested in that voltage ampere indicator/detector
Where can I buy that?
