Difference between klimtdcm and klimtlte - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know what the difference between the two is? I stumbled upon kyasu's Github Page: https://github.com/kyasu/android_device_samsung_klimtdcm
There is already a LineageOS 16 out which is newer than the current for the SM-T705 which I have (klimtlte) so I am wondering if I could go along with the one from kyasu despite being klimtdcm....

I'm kinda looking for the same information. I have klimtwifi (T-700), which is still back on 14.1. I know I can't just install the klimtdcm images, but I'm hoping I can at least build my own. I just started getting set up for it this morning, so I don't know how it'll go. If you find out anything, I'd be interested to hear.
Thanks!

klimtdcm = Qualcomm Snapdragon
klimtlte = Samsung Exynos
So no, you can not use nor adapt it to work on you Samsung Exynos device

What about SM-t700 klimtwifi? Anything newer than 14.1 (7.1.2)?
17.1 is available for klimtdcm at :
Download and Install Lineage OS 17.1 for Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (Android 10 Q)
Now you can install Lineage OS 17.1 on Galaxy Tab S 8.4 which is stable enough to use as a daily driver. Finally, Android 10 Q is official

Also....what is the model number of the klimtdm?

Lineageos 16 with device-specific files from 14.1?

I have an old Samsung galaxy tab S sm-t805 (chagalllte) which is still working fine.
Lineageos abandoned the chagalllte in release 15, and only supported the chagallwifi version.
I'd like to update it anyway (yes, I know this operation is not supported)
In the build-yourself process, I saw it needs device-specific files. Can I use them from a 14.1 release (eventually with checking new kernel options) to install the 16 version? Or are chances too high to brick the device?

Will we get Lineage OS 17?

I just saw a post that a bunch of devices got Android 10 custom ROMs, including the Tab S5e, and I was wondering if there is any chance of a Lineage port coming to the S4.

[Request, ROM] Port LineageOS or HavocOS (Or any other AOSP based GSI) to S20 Ultra

Hey there,
Can anybody port Lineage or Havoc to S20?
Since the introduction of the SUPER partition I see no way to flash a GSI as system image. I'm sorry if my expectations are too high but I have a feeling that this phone is begging for a AOSP-based rom and I hope that we have some nice people in this forum who could do the work since I don't know how to port roms.
Hoping for an awnser soon!
Yes please!
We desperately need a LineageOS official or unofficial ROM for S20! I've been looking every single day praying one will be out soon, but they haven't came yet and I don't know why ???

Sorry but it's trash
What's the point anyways.
VoLTE is not going to work, where 4G only sims are unusable. Which is a very basic thing for a phone.

Yes, that's exactly what they were talking about

What's the newest available Rom for the t310?

I'm relatively new to custom roms, but after reading quite a bit of documentation I managed to flash my Galaxy S5 with Lineage OS 17.1 without issue.
Was looking into flashing my Galaxy tab 8.0 T310 with Lineage, but I'm having difficulties figuring out which version to download, I've heard some people say 14.1 lags, others say it's fine, same thing goes for the more rare Lineage 16 builds.
I guess my question is simply, which version should I try out? What has worked for you?

Samsung Galaxy S7 (herolte) - how to downgrade from lineagos 18.1 to /e os?

Hi folks,
I have a Symsung Galaxy S7 (herolte) and have built lineageos 18.1 for it and installed it via twrp.
This works fine so far.
But now I just want to try /e os because I saw that the herolte is officially supported. That means that they have a stable build based on Nougat.
According to https://doc.e.foundation/devices/herolte/install it can cause problems to downgrade from higher versions of lineageos to this build.
How can I avoid these problems?
Thanks in advance
