LG-G710EAW Bootloader Unlock? (G7+) - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

So i have this phone (made in India it seems), i'm trying to unlock bootloader following official instructions on LG site.
Phone successfully goes into fastboot mode with clear instructions on phone screen how to get device-id and unlock bootloader.
But for some unknown reason, phone rejects all fastboot commands, like so:
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot oem device-id
...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 0.002s
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot oem device-info
...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 0.002s
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot oem unlock
...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 0.002s
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot getvar unlocked
getvar:unlocked FAILED (remote: GetVar Variable Not found)
finished. total time: 0.003s
Is there something i'm missing?
I'm enabled both USB Debugging and OEM Unlock in developer options on the phone itself.

Nevermind, seems like i'm screwed by LG

Official BL unlock it's only abailable for EEA models, so, now in 2020 we have plenty options for unlocking bootloader of almost any G7 unofficially, check out EDL flashing mode or crossflashing your device, just read'em, get familiar to them and you'll ready to go.

You have to emter the command first then get into fastboot. Its happening to everyone now lol

I have just unlocked my phone via HTCdev instructions:
c:\Android>fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.023s]
writing 'unlocktoken'...
(bootloader) unlock token check successfully
OKAY [ 0.219s]
finished. total time: 0.244s
c:\Android>
this is the result so to me, it went fine:
It says unlocked above :
ENDEAVORU PUT SHIP S-ON RL
So I am pretty sure what I have done has been right.
Anyways I booted up phone again and when phone is in hand I turn the screen and all other menus/{screens} turn, like they are supposed to, but the main clock screen does not turn so when the phone is in the dock, the screen is still the long way up, is this right, have I missed something, or is it the way it is meant to be.
If the latter, is there a rom that I am able to flash to phone to get this result, as I would like the main home screen to be displayed the right way up, when in the docking station, as it will be installed to my car.
Ant help would be great...Thanks in advance.
Yeah the stock rom does not support that, go have a look at ViperX Rom(formerly Pkmn) I run it with the exact same dock and it turns around just fine.
Apex launcher let's you rotate the home screen if you want to stay on stock Rom, there's also an app on the market that let's you force landscape mode, I think it's called "rotation locker"

Fastboot does not want to write.

Hi,
I have a problem regarding my LG G3 (D852)
I was stupid enough to use someone's .bat file in order to unlock the bootloader.
It deleted the boot partition on it and went into Fastboot mode.
Problem is:
I accidentally replaced the Download Mode with a Recovery mode, which does not even work.
So, I can't access the Download Mode to re-install the stock system.
BUT I do have a backup of my Download Mode in a laf.img file.
I know that I need to use the following code to flash my Download Mode back
Code:
fastboot flash laf laf.img
BUT when I use this command, it sends it correctly but gets stuck in "writing 'laf' ..."
Even if I try to erase Download Mode, it stays stuck in "erasing 'laf'... "
Every command I use (that involves writing and erasing) on Fastboot on this device, it stays stuck for some reason.
What I've tried:
Code:
fastboot continue
Code:
fastboot erase laf
Code:
fastboot flash laf laf.img
Code:
fastboot reboot
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
What I can't do:
I can't use Download Mode
I can't access my Recovery Mode (needs to be flashed)
I can't Write or Erase on Fastboot
I can't boot my device, it goes automatically in Fastboot
Can it be my drivers? I installed my Fastboot drivers from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979

I don't know what else to try. I really need this phone to work.
I have the stock ROM and the flash tool ready to install this phone, but I only need my Download Mode to work.
Thanks in advance, I hope there is someone out there that can help me fix this.

Mobile register problem for Sprint upgrade to Verizon Pie Baseband

I know I screw it up with the pie baseband. But it seemed verizon baseband can do the trick(almost).
First,I do not flash bootloader and gpt from PIE. My steps as below:
1. Flash with verizon pie baseband:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
2.Then Flash the Retail pie system
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.5
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.6
fastboot flash system_b system_other.img
fastboot erase carrier
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase ddr
fastboot -w
3. Boot to TWRP and flash retail PIE boot.img
Reboot and the wifi, bluetooth is working. It can even detect my sim card ,IMEI and I can list the mobile carrier from the mobile network setup.
But it just can not register to the carrier. Said it is not allowed to register to my mobile carrier.
I think it is almost there. Any thoughts?
Try doing a network settings reset, make sure your apn is correct for your carrier. Dial **#4636#*#* and make sure everything is straight there. Might power off and pop your sim out afterwards and wait about 10-15 min to drop off, then replace your sim and boot. Hopefully you can get registered.
Tried and no luck. Thanks anyway.

Can't flash any img file using fastboot to root

As flashing frp.img: FAILED (remote: 'Requested download size is more than max allowed)
As flashing rooted-boot: FAILED (Write to device failed (Too many links)). It shows "press any key to shutdown" on my phone screen, even I enter the command at first, plug the phone then, or do both at the same time.
By the way the original fastboot shows the product name is g7ulm, but LG's official website says it's a sprint version according to my fastboot device-id.
Could you tell me what should I do if you knew the right way? I've been stucking here for a long time.

Do you have the latest android platform tools (fastboot) installed?
For my phone, for root, you install magisk app.
Put stock boot.img on phone sdcard
In magisk, click "install magisk".
Choose patch file. Select your boot.img.
Patched image will be in download folder.
Put patched image on pc and boot to fastboot
fastboot flash boot magisk_patched***.img

You have an incomplete or wrong firmware on your phone. This may cause your problem.
