M Pen compatibility - Huawei MatePad Pro Accessories

Can anyone confirm/decline this please.
Is M Pen from Mate 20X compatible on Matepad Pro ?
Is Matpads pencil compatible with Mate 20X ?
Thanks

i can confirm that Matepad Pro (10.8) does NOT work with M-Pen Lite (Mediapad M6), nor with Samsung´s Pens (Tab S6 Series) or Surface Stylus

Ok, lets categorize by technology:
Ntrig: surface pen -> does not work
Wacom: Samsung spen -> does not work
Does the Huawei m5 lite pen come with batteries? I don't know what tech they use but possibly Wacom like spen and the lack of batteries would confirm this.
We need to try a Wacom Es pen; does someone own a Wacom bamboo ink to try it out?

Not likely
I have been trying to get Mate20X M Pen to work with the MatePad Pro but so far the tablet can't find it via Bluetooth nor sense it when I touch the screen.
I thought both Mate20X and MatePad Pro use an active Stylus?

I have a Matepad Pro and it came with he m-pencil which works fine... Using it as a mouse is interesting, it's a nice device for websites that require the mouse to 'point' and not click on a menu.
But I find clicking unreliable for me, pressing back/forward or links takes a few tries at times.
Tablet: mrx-w09
pen: cd52
I can barely write, specially for an OCR to read well enough... and I don't draw, so it's frigging useless for me.

Morning all,
Sorry I am joining this a little late.
Is there any M-Pencil alternative or stylus that works with the Matepad Pro at all?
Thanks

Not that I know of, and I have been searching online for a while now.

Anyone found a decent alternative? I bought a Matepad 10.4 for my teenage daughter, but I'm not prepared to pay £100 for a frigging pen.

10.1 2014, Pro 12.2, Surface Pro2 or other Windows 8 tablet?

I am trying to make a purchase decision. I am a Mac user. The MacBook Pro 15" is my work computer. I use it for research, scientific writing and pdf reading. It is 2kg. I have been looking for a lighter device (preferably below 1kg) that I could use for pdf annotation and reading while waiting at the bus stop, on the bus and in restaurants. A Note Pro 8.4" would be the most ideal device but Samsung decided to release only a S-pen less Tab Pro 8.4" I considered to get the 12.2 Pro but worry that it is a bit heavy. Also, at that price, I could get a Surface Pro 2 or a pen-based Windows 8 tablet. What suggestion do you have? Any news on when a Note Pro 8.4" will be out? Thanks.
No idea yet mon. We all rely on google for info really. If the 12.2 is too big get the Note 10.1 2014 edition. Same specs but very light and mobile

Nothing's changed since you asked the same questions in this earlier thread you started. And since the same people who responded the first time are still here you'll get the same answers. That is if they take the time to respond again.

there is the older Note 8.0
or maybe you would consider Tegra Note, so far Ive been hearing good things about it
Well if it means anything to you I've dumped a Lenovo Tablet 2 for the Note 10.1 2014.
I have a laptop (and a desktop) and wanted something smaller and lighter. The Lenovo is great if you really need the desktop apps. But the pen and apps for it seem better on the Note. And at the time I got the Note I could have gotten the Surface Pro (version 1) for about the same price, even with the touch cover. I'm happier with the note than I was with Lenovo and I really don't think the extra power of the Surface Pro would have made any difference, to me at least.
I heard that the Note Pro 12.2 can charge faster. Is this true? This could be an determining factor. Don't know why the Note Pro 12.2 LTE is not available yet.

You can use any stylus meant for a capacitative screen because AFAIK there are no special functions/ features on the Zenfone with a stylus

I recommend the "stilo" stylus (uses AAA batteries) if you thinking about note taking; This one has a narrow tip (1.9mm) ...only issue is that there is not effective palm rejection.

I use the stilo...works well (but no palm rejection)
I use a stylus made by "The Friendly Swede" and I really like it. It was a pack of 3 on Amazon and it comes with 3 replaceable tips all for $11. Pretty freggin good if you ask me.
+1 on the Dagi pen. Works really well and 1/3 of the price of the Styli, plus, it doesn't need batteries...

Will M-Pen work with 16Gb version?

Hello, it is very difficult to buy 64Gb version of this tablet. If I buy 16 Gb version and M-Pen separably will I be able to write on the screen with M-Pen or in 64Gb model there is some special layer on the screen similar to Samsung Galaxy Note to make M-Pen work?

Actually I have already bought 64Gb version with M-Pen. That's true, there is special layer on 64GB version. I don't anything about 16GB version regarding this layer. Sorry.
Thanks for your reply
However, I figured that there is no difference between premium edition and the others about the M-Pen function. I found the quickstart guide on the Huawei's website, and it's the same for all versions. Moreover it says:
"The M-Pen is included with the premium edition of the M2 and is available seprately for other editions. To purchase the M-Pen, contact your M2 retailer".
Anyway last thing it seems quite difficult (and expensive) now, but the important thing is that is possible to use even other active pen (if compatible, like, someone here in xda said, the Bamboo smart CS320) with non-premium versions.
I know this is a non-recent device, but there are just a few low budget-tablet with decent active pen function for sketching or writing ...
Hope all this will be useful for anyone else looking for this answer.

Question Xiaomi Pad 5 pen performance after update, is it now better than the S7 FE?

I'm looking to buy a tablet for my daughter, who would use it for drawing. According to the internet the best Android tablet for this use case is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7/S7+ (a little too expensive for me) and then come the S7 FE and Xiaomi Pad 5.
I read conflicting opinions about the drawing performance/lag etc., mostly from reviews done before the latest Pad 5 updates which *should* have improved the drawing experience.
For sure, the snapdragon 860/6GB RAM is better than 778G/4GB RAM .
Would anyone be so kind as to share their experience?
If your daughter is pro, apple or samsung.
But i think mipad is enough for your daughter
Xiaomi Pad 5 pen is at least better than S6 Lite and enough for writing. I don't know for drawing.
The pen is mostly fine, if you want the best experience get Samsung or Apple.

Question Xiaomi pad 5 official keyboard

Hello everybody,
I would like to ask whether this is the official xiaomi product for mi pad 5 and if anybody has bought it, i would appreciate it if he could give us his opinion about it.
Thank you
Xiaomi Pad 5 does not have an official keyboard cover, only the pro model have one.
The one from the link looks as the one provided with the Pad5 PRO, but in the details area are only two images, i cannot say if is compatible or not, please note the side pogo pins which power the keyboard, the provided mages does not show them on the keyboard.

from what i know the official keyboard case is compatible with all Mi Pad 5 versions. I'm using the most basic Mi Pad 5 with the official keyboard, the 1 you linked.
this reviewer also uses Mi Pad 5 with keyboard.

I really like it. Sometimes I wish I had more opportunities to use it. The key travels are ok IMHO. Build quality is good. It does feel snug with the tablet inside.

I might give it a try... I'd be able to replace my laptop most of the times.
I have a keyboard for my tablet (no pro), it works just fine.

Apologies for going seriously off topic, but an iPhone? That really stands out. What caused that side trip?
