Cannot unlock mix 2 - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Questions & Answers

Hi
I Have a problem with unlocking mi mix 2.
Mi unlock doesn't recognize mix 2 but it recognizes my mi 9.usb debugging and oem unlock are on.i formatted phone , reinstalled driver and tried another mi unlock ver but problem is still here.i can see device in windows device manager but only sometime CMD shows phone in fastboot devices.
Update: sometime mi unlock recognize phone but unlocking stucks at 50% and after that cmd doesn't recognise phone.firewall is off and I'm using win 10.
Update:Seems the problem related to usb 3 ports,I should try usb 2 port.
Update 2:when I use latest ADB & fastboot SDK from Google I can execute fastboot commands but when I use mi unlock fastboot or minimal ADB & fastboot to execute fastboot commands nothing happens.

My phone does the same thing. Does anyone know how to fix it?

adb devices: no device found, why ?

Just a quick question.
Im unable to access fastboot or bootloader mode through adb command line.
I turned on usb debugging, connected phone to usb cable with my pc, run command line in platform-tools - adb devices and nothing happens.
I think i know the answer, but i want to be sure. Is it because i dont have unlocked bootloaded (OEM Unlock, still 6 days to wait)
Do you have the proper drivers? Try downloading the universal ADB drivers.

Switch USB mode to PTP instead of MTP. I don't know why, but it works like that after Android KitKat/Lollipop release. Used this trick on LG G2 mini and now on my P2
I dont know if i have correct drivers, but i think so

My Xiaomi Redmi phopne is detected correctly, but its rooted and OEM unlocked
edit:
It's fine now. Its unbelivable what a mess is with adb files/usb drivers and similar. There is so much that can go wrong.
I wiped everything and installed minimal adb and fastboot + lenovo usb/mtp drivers
Now pc detects my phone.

Unable to unlock bootloader

I have waited for 14 days and finally the day arrived today. I installed minimal adb and fastboot in my computer. The computer is able to recognize the device when connected without powering of in minimal adb(i checked by using adb devices). But when i booted to bootloader from oem unlock option in developer setting and typed the command fastboot oem unlock it shows waiting for any device. I tried the adb devices command while in bootloader and its not able to recognize the device.
Anyone please help me out.
Check if it's connected by typing 'fastboot devices'. Connect to it in fastboot mode by long-pressing volume down and power buttons.
Fixed the issue by reinstalling Lenovo drivers.

Problem unlocking the mi Max 3 : fastboot doesn't "stick" !

Hi guys,
Having received the mi Max 3 today (as a replacement for the old mi Max 3 that broke), I tried to unlock it, but I have a really weird problem.
I boot the device in fastboot mode. No problem so far.
Then I hook it up to the PC running Windows 10.
As soon as it is connected to PC, the display goes totally black with only some tiny caracters at the top left corner saying "Press any key to turn off device".
Anyone got that already ?
How do I solve this ?
That does not happen if the device is connected to my Linux powered computer... But that does not really help as the device can't be unlocked with Linux
WHY ? Why don't they just allow to use "fastboot oem unlock" to unlock the device ?
Regards.
In the programmer's options enable USB debugging and select the option Unlock OEM. start the phone in fastboot mode and connect to the computer having the miunlock program running

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
I did that of course...
But still, as soon as I connect the phone to the computer in Fastboot mode : black display with only a tiny : "Press any key to shutdown"...
Any other idea ?
Regards.
You need to use a usb2 port instead of usb3

I can't unlock bootloader on mine either. I am using a moto Z2 force on T-Mobile network but MetroPCS is my provider. I followed all step by steps I have all the latest Motorola drivers and Android studio components. After I type fast boot OEM get unlock data it just sits there is a blinking cursor indefinitely

Grab adb and fastboot from here Extract and open folder, hold shift, right click in the folder and open command prompt. Type 'fastboot devices' to verify that your device is connected. If all set, then type 'fastboot oem get_unlock_data' to get your string and follow the steps here
cant unlockbootloader
tried it with those links and it says...failed unknown command

Make sure you're using oem cable, 2.0 usb port from the motherboard, not a hub port from the front of the pc. Also, make sure you're not putting the 'quotes' in the command.

You should be in bootloader mode when you run fastboot commands

i run.. .\adb devices for some reason my comp only runs it if you use .\ in front of the commands . then i use.... .\adb reboot bootloader ...the phone goes into bootloader .. then .\fastboot devices and it shows the serial, then .\fastboot oem get_unlock_codes and i was getting a cursor that stays until i close the program but with new link someone gave me for adb it says failed unknown command
1. T-mobile is unlockable
2. Turn on developer mode and Allow OEM unlock
3. On Windows PC, open adb via CMD. Connect your phone and type:
adb devies
You should allow authorisations on your phone.
4. Enter bootloader mode (maybe wait for the PC to recognize the phone). Type command:
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
5. Follow these links that others gave. Make sure Motorola and Google USB driver are installed.

Check usb port, cable, and adb/fastboot files. 95% of the trouble people have with flashing and/or fastboot commands can be attributed to one of those.
No that didn't work
