which units are MTCD? where to buy? - MTCD Android Head Units General

hi guys, I know this is a general questions but does anyone have any place where I can make sure I get a MTCD unit somewhere?
do we know which stores/brands to look for or is it all just a guessing game?

Find on the web unit that you like and ask seller for details. Stress in the communication with seller that you will not accept any other MCU. Tell them you want MTCD/ MTCE

No I can't.
Android AutoShop seems to be endorsed by Hal9k.
When checking sellers look at their rating. Less than 99% positive feedback is no good. Except AliExpress. There are no sellers with 99% positive feedback. At least I have not seen one.

Thx for reminding, bob; i will add oneplus 2 battery soon.
The official leather case looks good, and price is cheap, i like it , thx for share.
I want a Rosewood back cover, so stunning
That "official" swap cover, which isnt official at all is hella overpriced. Bought the exact same one for less than $9!!!! $8.92 to be exact!!! Reported for potential scam artist...

What I'm most interested in is the fingerprint scanner part. If anyone's got any information on where to buy it, it would be greatly appreciated

Buyer's advice?

I'm planning on buying this phone via AliExpress (there's no way to get it other than this in my area). I had the "Eternal Team." seller in mind. Can anybody tell me about the things I need to look out for and if it's possible to root the phone and get EU firmware on it? This will be my first android phone so any advice/tutorials are welcome. I also used willmyphonework.net to check if the network works in the Netherlands and everything seems fine
Most Aliexpress sellers will flash the phone prior to shopping with the WW firmware so that you will have Google play installed and read any reviews on the seller you are looking at ordering from, and make sure the order page lists every item on your order otherwise the Ali guarantee is worthless

Forgive me. Not trying to hijack his post. But I have similar question. I am in us. I looked at amazon. I want the 32 or 64 g model w 4g ram. Amazon has some note warning about not selling the phone right now due to some error in advertising.?? It's confusing.
You mentioned a reshipped. Do you mean reseller? Is there anything in model number I should be aware of to make sure I get us version? Thanks for any help!

I'm afraid that will leave me at a price in the 300 euro, I would be better of buying an other device if so. Did you eventually get the device shipped?
Yes I got the device and to be fair it works fine. Just be aware the delays can be considerable and aliexpress support is non existant.
I have since purchased a second device for a friend from Amazon US using a reshipping company which was a much more positive experience.
I'm guessing you want to avoid taxes so Eternal are a good option in that regard as they did allow me to specify a price that they put on the package which went through without issue.

How to find out if your unit has the RK3188 or the RK3066?

I was wondering if there was a way you could check the unit if it has RK3188 or RK3066, as there are different places selling different version of these Joying Unit. Also how about the resolution since there is 2 type is there a way to find out what resolution the unit is.
You can check the specs before you buy the unit, as everyone does, right?

This and some of the unit models are named very similar.
Well, sorry if i seemed not friendly. You should check first of all where to buy, then, check if the seller has good ratings, reviews, etc. Then just double check you can choose between the different specs to the one u want, and ask the seller before buying it just in case. I got mine through aliexpress and didnt have a problem at all. Well, ive bought like 100 times there and never had an issue. Hope this helps a bit more.

I'm looking at getting a system right now that is specifically built my car, Erisin says they have a 5.1 system available now, they seem to have a pretty good rep, so I am interested. Reading here, it seems people are saying 5.1 won't be out till the octa cores are released, so that makes me pause as this is a quad core

Headphone Adapter WILDLY Overpriced!

Hey guys, I wanted to ask some of you guys that know more than me about this topic what's a good course of action here. I had a 6T for a while and appreciated having the adapter in the box, then traded that for a 7 Pro! Much to my surprise, no adapter in the box (as you all know at this point having bought the same device). So I go to the OP website and realize this is ROBBERY! For a small headphone adapter???
Point of this post, what is a good alternative that is cheaper, and has better or at least comparable sound output for our 7 Pro? OnePlus is high to be selling the adapter that high and not giving us one after blowing nearly $800 on the device itself! (I did, I bought the 12GB model!)
Goto Amazon and type in "usb-c to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter".
Only thing special about Oneplus is that it's red.

I've seen people talking a out DACs and such on here, like, saying that some adapters are cleaner quality than others? I know nothing about this myself. Did some forum reading here but still unsure what any of this is.
I've also seen posts that say an adapter without a DAC won't even work with the 7 Pro?
The 1st & 3rd links that came up for me specifically mentioned Oneplus.
(I'd screenshot but it's not letting me)

Alright I checked Amazon and eBay since my last reply, and they DO mention OnePlus. That makes things easier. I wonder how the sound quality is though. eBay has some SUPER cheap adapters, but I wonder about quality [emoji848] Thanks for the info man, appreciate that.

There's not really anything state-of-the-art going on here. I have no reason not to believe that those cables are as good, if not better, than the Oneplus one. Wouldn't even be surprised if they came out of the same factory.
Plus Amazon return policy is great.
Not happy, return it.

The one for the Google Pixel 2 right? I see it on eBay for about $9, which is a far more attractive price than the $20 OnePlus is asking, after shipping costs and all!

Avoid adapters for the Pixel phones as those include DACs that are not only unnecessary and more expensive but also result in subpar volume according to other users' experiences.
Check the other adapter thread in this section of the forum for more information.

Yes that is the one that works for me, although I purchased it on amazon, so I had the choice of returns. I don't have volume issues. Try it out and return it, if you don't like it. I also tried the essential adpater and that one didn't function as well.
Using this one. Works fine with the phone.

M Pen for AL00 CN version?

I've taken the plunge and ordered the CN version. When shopping for an M pen I came across a couple of sellers with pens that they say are only for the Chinese version.
Is this true? Do I need a different M pen just because it's the Chinese version and not international?
Thanks
Joe

According to the customer q&a section in this Amazon listing https://www.amazon.com/Huawei-M-Pen-Mate-EVR-AL00-Gray/dp/B07KBF9Q61 even though some pens are advertised to "only" work with the Chinese EVR-AL00 version, ppl have responded that it works with global EVR-L29 too
Thanks for this clarification. Much appreciated.

well yes at least to me, open box means someone opened it and then i cant be sure if its completely new or user return or sth but factory sealed means you are the first hand to open it since you pay alot of money for it lol
sadly enough, wondamobile and tradingshenzen both open the boxes and when i asked the later for a sealed factory they said we wont give you warranty then
I've only read them opening the boxes to put Google play on it. Which I can understand as it's beyond the skillz of most users to get the 3 apks on and working. But yes I see what you mean. I guess you could tell.be looking at battery charge cycles and stuff as to whether it had been used previously.

And how exactly would you get the battery cycles count on a current Emui device that has been reset? Exactly, you can't.

i wasnt aware of that but good to know and as you can see its best to be the first to open sth you spend lots of money on
I got my AL00 yesterday. It was an unopened box. Lots of Chinese stuff but enough things in English to let me get started.
I added Google Play after some searching around on how to do it. Hopefully all sorted now.
And a pen that was stated to be for the international version works fine with the Chinese one.
