Huawei P20 (not Pro) What frequencies ? (B2 and B4 ?) - Huawei P20 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi,
I've got a question about frequencies on a P20 (not pro)
I'm french and I want to go to NYC in august.
I see on Amazon a mostsim card for which they say that the phone must have B2 and B4 for 4G LTE.
I do not manage to see if the P20 is compatible. On their website they say : P20 pro ok, P20 lite Nok. But nothing about p20 ...
Thank you for your help.

It depends of device's Model and region.
For example, original European C432 P20 EML-L29 have 4G FDD-LTE, TD-LTE bands: B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B6/B7/B8/B9/B12/B17/B18/B19/B20/B26/B28/B32/B34/B38/B39/B40

Ok; So it should be good. I bought mine in France.
Actual firmware is 9.1.0.380 (C432E10R1P12)
Model : EML-L29

Global?

How do I know if I have a global version or cheaper Chinese model please? Box says global but not convinced as no 4g and box wasn't sealed
I have a global a2 lite. The model is M1805D1SG.
Purchased 2 Global version from Gearbest, both are model M1805D1SG
I've got the Global version (4/32) and can confirm the same model number M8105D1SG with a Baseband version 953_GEN_PACK-1.152683.0.158868.2 if that helps.
I could be wrong, but all Mi A2 Lite phones are Global version. The non-global version is the Redmi 6 Pro (that comes with MIUI).
Cheers for the help. Mines the save, must not be getting 4g for some other reason!

Hi. My dad bought me redmi 6 pro from india. We live in turkey. I bought 2 imeis for my dual sim phone. Can i replace not used 2nd imei with unregistered redmi 6 pro imei ? If i do this, i need global miui9 rom or can i use miui 10 india ?

Unlocking bands in EU version

Hello all.
I just bought a Xiaomi Note 8T and i realiced i have received a EUROPEAN version and i need the GLOBAL version.
My country (argentina) uses LTE bands 2, 4, 7, 8, 28, and my phone just have 7, 8 and 28. So, i don't know if the phone will work fine because i dont have the band 4, very important band in Argentina.
1) Can i unlock the band 4 in the european version? there is a chance modifying the firmware or is a hardware process? I readed some guides, like this https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note/general/unlock-lte-bands-step-step-xiaomi-mi-t3084774 , but just i dont know if that it may work.
2) If i flash a GLOBAL ROM, this may work?
Thanks.
bump, I have this issue too.

Question LE numbers and applicable models

Can people post here with the LE number shown on your phone under Settings > About Phone > Model so we can compile a list of which device is which?
I haven't been able to find a definitive list, if you know of one then by all means post a link.
Please include your country and provider if it's a provider specific model
I'll start :
LE NumberModelRAMStorage (ROM)LE2123OnePlus 9 Pro (EU)8GB128GBLE2123OnePlus 9 Pro (EU)12GB256GBLE2125OnePlus 9 Pro (US) (Verizon?)12GB256GBLE2127OnePlus 9 Pro (US) (T-Mobile?)12GB256GB
One reason I wanted to do this is because there was MSM released but it says it's for the LE2125 so there's no guarantee it would work for anyone with a OnePlus 9 Pro
LE2125 USA Unlocked, using Verizon.
Edit - 12GG Ram, 256GB Rom
LE2127 T-Mobile edition
12G RAM, 256G storage

You are wrong, Oxygen Updater reads the software not hardware model to determine which update you need. So you have the LE2120 China hardware running the DA (India) ROM

The LE2125 is the US unlocked model and ISN'T carrier specific. It should be compatible with most US carriers (Tmobile, Verizon, AT&T, and their MVNO's, etc.) US-Cellular isnt compatible with any oneplus device unless you know someone on the backend who can whitelist your imei.

Question What are the differences between the Xiaomi Poco F3, Xiaomi Mi 11X, and Redmi K40 smartphones in terms of features and specifications?

Different with these three phones is launch county. Redmi K40 is Chinese variant, Xiaomi Mi 11X is Indian variant and Poco F3 is Global variant.

Same phone sold in different regions. Mi 11X does not have NFC.
If you don't live in China or India you should go for the Poco F3 wich is the Global variant.
Further more, you should choose Poco F3 with the right firmware wich is also specific for different regions: EEA is Europe, Indonesia, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, and Global is everything else.
The biggest ( and most important ) difference between those variants, in my opinion, is the 5G bands.
Poco F3 ( global variant ) supports these 5G bands : 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 41, 77, 78 SA/NSA
K40 China variant : 1, 3, 28, 41, 77, 78 SA/NSA/Sub6
Mi 11x India Variant : only supports 77, 78 Sub6
