Welcome to CesiumOS, Yet another AOSP project. But this is one that will be a very different and exciting project. What differentiates us from the rest, you ask? Well that's why you're here - to find out.
*Note This thread is optimised for both Light and Dark XDA themes. View this thread in a browser to have a magical experience!
CesiumOS is a project that is designed to be exciting. It is something that was born out of a sea of similar-looking AOSP roms. We offer a unique, yet familiar experience for your phone. We cherry-pick features that we think will *actually* be useful in your daily lives, and nothing more. Since this is the beginning of something beautiful and exciting, we will continue to add more features in the future releases. We will strive to keep the ROM bloat-free, yet still have enough features that will keep you satisfied.

Was asking the op.

all camera works ?

The least you could do is not make life hard for new Rom modders,
''Clean Install
1. Take a backup of your phone
2. Boot to TWRP and wipe - System, vendor, Data and Dalvik Cache
3. Flash ROM
4. Reboot System ''
This step just keeps giving System destroyed. i have had to flash Stock Global rom 3 times now and i am totally frustrated. So apparently, once you wipe system in advanced wipe, System is destroyed.
please can you direct me with the right procedure for someone who just finished waiting for 160 hours . Thank you

From fastboot, flash vbmeta.img, then flash twrp, and follow the instructions. Once you flash the rom flash disabledmverity and you should be good from now on!

If you are reffering to anyone upload vbmeta for RedmiNote8 then yes the original. I think that vbmeta is also inside the ROM and you can just grab it.
QUOTE FROM UNOFFICIAL TWRP FOR REDMI NOTE 8 :
if it's the first time you flash the TWRP or you are getting problems of TWRP lost or device doesn't boot after flashed magisk or something else you need to flash a modified vbmeta:
Link: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261699756
Code:
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
Then flash TWRP
Hope this helped. ;p
*edit*
what I do after flashing rom and gapps and whatever I like, lastly I flash disable-dm-verity. Google it for redmi note 8 I am sure you will find it somewhere!
Best of luck

Bug:
When screen locked, if you press the power button twice or more, a white screen will appear which you can do nothing about it, only reboot.

About LineageOS
LineageOS is a free and open-source operating system for set-top boxes, smartphones and tablet computers, based on the Android mobile platform. It is the successor to the custom ROM CyanogenMod, from which it was forked in December 2016 when Cyanogen Inc. announced it was discontinuing development and shut down the infrastructure behind the project. Since Cyanogen Inc. retained the rights to the Cyanogen name, the project rebranded its fork as LineageOS.
LineageOS was officially launched on December 24, 2016, with the source code available on GitHub. Since that time, LineageOS development builds now cover more than 185 phone models with over 1.9 million active installs, having doubled its user base in the month February–March 2017 And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
Installation procedure
Note - I don't recommend you people to flash any other custom kernels on this ROM untill Nokia release kernel sources. Because this ROM supports only stock kernel .
1. Download Rom.zip , Perf-Stock-9.0-DDV_sprout.zip , twrp.img & vbmeta.img
2. power off your phone boot in to bootloader mode and flash twrp
3. Boot in to Twrp
4. Format data by typing yes
5. Wipe everything
6. Flash rom.zip
7. Now tap on reboot and tap on recovery now your phone reboots in to twrp again
8. Tap on reboot and check your current active slot.
Example - if twrp shows current active slot A change to B if B change to A
9. Now flash Gapps.zip
10. Now flash Perf-Stock-9.0-DDV_sprout.zip
11. Wipe all except system & vendor
10. Tap on reboot bootloader
11. Now your phone boots in to bootloader mode
12. Now open cmd in pc flash vbmeta using this command
for slot-a > fastboot flash vbmeta_a --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta.img
for slot-b> fastboot flash vbmeta_b --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta.img
( thanks to @singhnsk for this step )
13. now type fastboot reboot
and wait for 3 min rom will boot up

Thank you. Works good
Works like a charm!! ????
This is just awesome. Thanks for being that fast!
I ordered a Nokia 7.2 as business phone. First thing I'll do is unlock and flash this rom. Wouldn't have ordered without LOS support.
How is the battery life compared to stock? Somebody who is currently using this, could someone pls let know about this? Thanks.
Hey! I guess I messed up... bootloader is unlocked but when I tried to flash with TWRP, for any reason I still having the "original" boot running and now I have no wifi... Any one can provide me a guidance?

Why? I have been using LineageOS on different devices without Gapps for years. So there is no need to flash them if you don't want them.

Do we need or can we lock the bootloader after to keep the warning showing every time you reboot?

Hi, please understand how bootloaders work. The locked bootloader ensures that secure boot is in place and the device will deny to boot if it notes any tampering from the OEM's hashes. So, never lock the bootloader on a custom software - the device will more or less become a brick ?

Device tree : android_device_lge_joan-twrp
Kernel source : android_kernel_lge_msm8998
OrangeFox source : OrangeFox
Known bugs :
You tell me?
Flashlight doesn't work (disabled anyway)
Protect recovery itself with a password works only when not encrypted (maybe in a future version with encryption enabled too)
Working: :
Everything else:
backing up and restoring
decryption and therefore usage of internal storage in recovery
flashing zips
removing crypto
...
FoxRecovery features :
Very fresh UI
Based on latest TWRP, with a lots of additions
Lot of useful file manager features (uncompress, compress, display text files, ...)
Built-in support for installing/removing Magisk and managing installed modules
Built-in support for installing init.d functionality
Built-in all the zip files needed for our V30, they are copied to /sdcard/Fox/FoxFiles
Customizations : lockscreen, password, status bar, ...
Theme engine
Updated with latest TWRP commits
Support for Custom ROMs
Better language support
Optimized versions of community scripts
Fox theme engine:
- choice of theme (black, dark, etc)
- choice of color scheme
- choice of splash screen
Alternative lockscreen
And many more!
Additional :
Used busybox instead of toolbox for increased zip compatibility
Used magiskboot 20.3 instead mkbootimg for all kernel operations: better, but a bit slower, according to OFox Team
Screenshots : Look here
F2FS support
Added "reboot to EDL" button (not working, removed in next version)
Updated Magisk and magiskboot binaries to latest 20.3
Included RCTD remover zip
INSTALLATION:
Backup your ROM, your data, your internal storage, and your settings/apps, to an external device: just to be on the sure side, as always
Download the OrangeFox zip file to your device
Reboot to your TWRP Recovery
Install the OrangeFox zip file as a normal zip
The device will automatically reboot into OrangeFox recovery after installation (allow this to happen)
After rebooting have a look at your sdcard in FoxFiles folder: you will find all the necessary files to flash for getting your V30 running flawlessly after kdz-ing there (RCTD remover, Magisk, unroot Magisk, disable dm-verity and force_encrypt, lockscreen settings remover (when userdata with lockscreen settings is restored) and init.d support; most of them not needed (beside magisk maybe) if a TWRP flashable firmware zip was used)
Also have a look at Menu -> Fox Addons, App Manager and Magisk Manager
Enjoy!

RC3 Build from 2020-02-23: (latest)
2nd build, changelog over RC2:
- corrected blocksize for formatting crypto related partitions
- included timezone data, maybe helps some ppl with time still not showing correct; should speed up time calc
- used pre-compiled full mke2fs and e2fsdroid binaries
- enabled ntfs experimental support (rw in kernel, NTFS_3G flag in twrp / ofox)
- minimal tweaks
- ofox zip will not patch for dmverity/forceencrypt anymore automatically when flashing it
- nano editor should be included (command line editor)
- log history on sdcard disabled: no more millions of logfiles, only the last one
- recovery security lockscreen is working now, but only when userdata is not encrypted. if it is, the recovery login screen will just disapper after waiting a short period of time
- changed an error message for less confusion (crypto related)

This is Candy ten for the Moto G7. Built straight from source with commits from a variety of different Sources/ROMS. We wanted to give the users a fun, fully customisable ROM, with regular updates and security patches.
We do this as a hobby, and we happily share the Candy of our toils with the custom ROM community, for free. We use what we share on our own devices, most as Daily Drivers, so you can be confident that problems will be promptly addressed.
Thanks for your support and camaraderie. Special thanks to GZOSP, GZR-ROMs, LineageOS, SlimRoms, OmniROM, AOSiP, DU and the innumerable rest who make their source open. We can't do all of this on our own!
Donations are appreciated, but NEVER expected.
Stay tuned for more Candy!

* See Post #2 for Downloads
* See Post #3 for FAQ/Known issues
Note:
If you are coming from stock you need to flash copy_partitions.zip just after flashing twrp, else you might face a hard brick.
Do not wipe or format data in TWRP, use fastboot -w instead after flashing the ROM, as mentioned below.
1. If you're coming from another ROM:
Official TWRP is recommended.
Boot into TWRP
Flash ROM (link in 2nd post)
Flash TWRP Installer
Reboot to Recovery
Flash OpenGApps
Flash the latest stable Magisk
No 3rd party mods are supported. (Like Xposed Framework or shady Magisk Modules)
Reboot to bootloader
Perform a factory reset using:
Code:
fastboot -w
Reboot to system
2. If you're updating the ROM:
Reboot to recovery
Flash Substratum rescue zip if you have a theme applied
Flash ROM
Flash TWRP Installer
Reboot to recovery
Flash OpenGApps
Flash Magisk
Reboot to bootloader
Perform a factory reset using:
Code:
fastboot -w
Reboot to system
NOTE:
If you have issues with Settings or Play Services force-closes you need to clean flash.
Please give first boot several minutes.
New additions and fixes being added constantly
If you have any other issue, please let us know in proper bug reporting fashion as indicated below.
Do NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed other shady mods.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Changelog
15 March 2020
Initial build
I've never heard of CandyROM before and am currently running lineageOS 16 so I'm curious as to what the differences are in terms of customization and general feel of the interface.
Also does candy ten mean this is an android 10 build or is it just the versioning?
Wanna try it out regardless but I'm hoping these questions get answered before I get a chance to ?

Nope the G7 plus and the G7 are different devices hence their ROMs are also different

Just checked the telegram channel. It is indeed android 10. Happy to finally be able to move on from pie!
EDIT: I suppose I could just read the full post and see that it says android 10, but that'd be too easy...
So far the only bug I encountered it's some choppiness on the animations especially on the recents menu going in and out of some applications, but this happens every time with a new version of Android regarding custom roms, I remember the same thing happening with oreo and pie, aosp or one ui, it's a little bit annoying but totally forgivable since everything else is fine as hell, thank you very much my dude, awesome job.

Hi, everyone. Tried to install Candy from stock ROM. After theese steps my phone has bricked. No reaction on buttons, when linked to PC by cable it looks like "qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008" in the device Manager.
What was my mistake?

You weren't mistaken, as you followed the instructions the OP provided. The same happened to me and after digging a bit I found out that when you're coming from stock you have to flash a file called "Copy Partitions Zip" before trying to install any custom roms. I know this can easily be our fault but at least he should've written clear and COMPLETE instructions.
I'm going to try unbricking the phone, I'll let you know if I come to any useful conclusion. Thanks OP.
OP thanks for making an Android 10 for the G7! Rom appears to be quite smooth and rung great. However, half my apps (even current up to date versions) seem to crash on it. Cant find a Gcam build that will run on it. That makes it unusable for me at the moment. Totally clean flash per directions with stock (Fi) kernel. Am I doing something wrong?
Great work on the rom! Doesn't even lag ,haven't faced any issues till now or encountered any bugs. I wish I could use Smart Reply anyway . Everything works just great

In case you guys are having difficulty flashing candy rom on G7,follow the instructions below, that's how I install custom roms
Just backup or move everything to your PC,sync photos and contacts.
Here we are supposed to wipe internal storage in order to clean flash the rom.
+Boot into twrp,Format user data > yes
+Boot into twrp,wipe Data,Internal Storage,System,Dalvik/ART cache.
+Boot into twrp,flash copypartitions.zip
+Boot into twrp,flash candyrom.
+Now,from twrp,Boot into bootloader
+Boot into twrp,flash ARM64 10.0 Nano Gapps.
+Wipe Dalvik cache after flashing Gapps, powerOFF.
+Boot into System.
Incase if you want to permanently install TWRP on Candy rom and Root.
+Enable USB Debugging
+run command : adb reboot bootloader
+Boot into twrp,flash copypartitions.zip
+Flash twrpinstaller.
+Now,from twrp,Boot into recovery.
+Flash magisk.
+Reboot or manually powerOFF+ON.
I cant get data with this rom. I am on sprint network...
That fixed that issue. I have been getting now like flashing screen sometimes when pulling down the status bar to see notifications. Any fix for that? thanks
Thanks!
Thank a ton dude, this rom rocks. Better than lineage 16 for g7 haven't found a single bug. Speed is much better than lineage. Surprisingly awesome. Great work. Kudos!
@elboss Here's a test build. All others on Sprint (also if CDMA), Verizon please test if the calling/mobile data/volte works accordingly or not.
Candy-river-10-Stable-TESTING-20200402-1100.zip
Good morning guys. I am about to take this custom build. Coming from stock w/ Magisk. Super excited. Following the steps before actually doing the install, I didn't see the location to the "copy_partitions.zip" - can someone please provide a link or show me where I missed it please.
---------- Post added at 04:08 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:42 AM ----------

Does Candy ROM have fingerprint?
Hi, I downloaded this Candy Rom for Moto G7 and it has been doing GREAT! Thanks. Just a question. When I try to use Terminal Emulator to edit device fingerprint. But this option is disabled?! Is it because this ROM does not have fingerprint? or how can I enable it? Can you please help? Thanks
------> under Terminal Emulator
------> type "SU"
------> Type "props".
Then the option is given
1 - edit device fingerprint (disable) Below photo is what it should be. But my device is showing (Disabled)
2........
I have a little question. Sorry, I'm new in this stuff.
Is there any method to install ROM without having a computer?

It is all good, but there is still no way to unlock the bootloader of RMX2155 (realme 7). No in depth testing app or other way.
Anyone has managed to unlock one of these? How?

Press volume up to unlock the bootloader & then "fastboot reboot"
Done bootloader unlocked.

I'm on crDroid, and really like it. The smoothest one I've ever used until now. Just wondering will you guys develop it to be the official one since the realme 7 community is quite big and many of us are looking forward to having crdDroid as official ROM.
BTW, thank you guys for good an amazing work!

Very good Rom. I installed it yesterday and so far everything is working. I hope this rom will be kept up to date. It works with Magisk v22 and passes the safetynet test.
One small bug I have discovered. (also before Magisk)
When I put my finger on the fingerprint sensor, the entire display flashes bright, similar to a photo flash. The device is still unlocked. Or is that the way it's supposed to be?

hello ,This rom is great to use. Feedback 3 questions:
1.After using magisk root, when Lucky-patcher sets some APP files to the system partitionas, and replaces the files in system or product, the phone cannot enter the system again, the system is stuck, and the Nozeku interface stops.
2.The multi-language support in the custom settings is not complete enough, and the English menu is used to switch other languages.
3.Can the call recording function module be optimized and made into a plug-in in magsik or xposed, because Googledial APP needs to be updated from GooglePlay.

Hi, so I tried to unlock my bootloader and flash twrp, I successfully done those things but after I try to flash the custom rom I had this issue where It keeps giving me this message everytime I try to flash a rom or delete the cache
Failed to mount /cache no such device
I tried to go to mount cache but I can't select cache
I also even try using both twrp and orange fox and they have the same problem.
Now I'm stuck in the recovery and can't even flash the rom because it keeps failing. Can somebody please help me

I can also confirm that AOD doesn't work. Once the screen is off (after about 10 seconds as mentioned above), you have to press the power button before you can unlock the phone with the FP sensor.
I also couldn't get "Hey Google" voice activation to work but I think it might be something specific to my device. Everything else in the ROM is great though. Thanks for the good work.
