How to encrypt phone running Unofficial Lineage OS 16 - Xiaomi Redmi 5A Questions & Answers

Hi, I have been running Unofficial Lineage OS 16 build by sunny successfully on my Redmi 5A. But not able to encrypt the device. When trying to encrypt the device shows the the android encrypting logo and soft reboots without performing encryption, i have tried with fixing the `data` partition but it didn't help, anyone else facing this issue and know about a possible fix or workaround please chime in.

(klte) Samsung S5 & Encryption

Hello,
I had to reinstall LOS14.1 on my Samsung S5 recently and now I am unable to encrypt my phone without my effort resulting in a bootloop. Has anyone successfully encrypted their phone on an S5?
When I start the encryption the progress isn't shown, but I know this is a known issue. Therefore I typically force a reboot after a few hours to give my device sufficient time to fully encrypt the internal SD card. For CM this worked fine, however, Lineage fails to encrypt and breaks my system.
Any advice or throughts?
I am happy to provide log files if I know where to look for those.
I updated to the latest nightly and encryption worked like a charm this time with the progress bar showing, etc. No more bootloops or any other trouble. The entire process took about 10 minutes.

OnePlus 3T Midnight Black Edition & Lineage OS

I have been running Lineage OS on my OP3TMBE since the April 20th edition.
I am using TWRP 3.1.1-2 and Magisk 13.3.
Up to the Lineage OS 14.1-20170721-NIGHTLY-oneplus3 update, things have been working fine with each and every update.
Once I installed the above update, I lost my home button but it was remedied by installing the Open Beta 11 Firmware/Modem software from OnePlus.
I tried to install the Lineage OS 14.1-20170728-NIGHTLY-oneplus3 update and all hell breaks loose.
Google services continually crashes.
Play Store starts and just sits at the refresh screen.
I can't get any application to run for more then a few seconds.
I have had to revert to the Lineage OS 14.1-20170721-NIGHTLY-oneplus3 image I have backed up in TWRP in order to get my phone running again.
Is there something I am missing to go forward with this new nightly ???
Thanks,
Pete...
Oneplus 3T lineage 17 Bluetooth issue
I have fresh install of lineage 17 and all has been great other than not being able to hear anything phone ringing through any of my Bluetooth devices and the phone does a short start to the tone but ends it after one second or so. This is boggling my mind as to what is the problem. I've reset the Bluetooth and cleared the cash but nothing has worked. Please help me ?

Hardware Encryption fails in RR-OS but works in miui.

The encryption works on miui but fails on resurrection remix.
When I try to encrypt my device, it appears to start encryption but fails and it appears to have done a quick reboot. The whole process lasts about 30 seconds and the phone does not encrypt. Any idea what could be causing this? I have formatted my phone and done a clean flash. I am lost.
Any solutions to this problem?

Cannot remove boot PIN code from stock ROM

Hi guys, I have replaced LineageOS with stock ROM because I have to send the phone to Xiaomi assistance for some hardware problems.
I have a problem, the phone still asks the PIN to boot, because when I was using LineageOS I encrypted my phone. By the way I cannot manage to disable this from stock ROM. What can I do?
Thank you

This is a year later, but I now have this symptom on a A5 2017 with lineageos 18.1 after an update. Did you ever resolve this issue?
FYI the solution that I found today was to format the system partition ( reinstalling the OS itself didn't seem to do the trick without the reformat from recovery first).
