I have read in some other places that android 10 somewhat downgraded the camera, specially the front one, Maybe this update fixes that?, let's see how it goes

Does this fix the stupid way SOT is calculated?
Sent from my SM-N976B using Tapatalk

Im wondering for those that have received the update, does it slow you.i to change the background within your Samsung messages?

It's March...

N975W here, only just got the March update, it'll be a few weeks before I get this unfortunately

Camera s20 features like single take, better Night mode and pro video will be availeble with next update. Samsung confirms it. I stay until last week on android 9.i update to android 10 and i notice that camera in pro mode has better iso from 800 max now has 3200 and long exposure max 30 sec wich is huge. More light abd better night photo.

It's going to take a month to cross the pond to the states period.

is the update out to manually install on my non-rooted Exynos Dual Sim International unlocked version? N975FD. Will i get regular OTAs later once i manually update? Battery life is horrible after the March update

Marshmallow FINALLY RELEASED 09/08

I wanted to make a separate thread so people can share their experience with the new MM. As a former N910A user, I am curious to see any performance improvement and new features! Thank you to Shanghai.Knight for letting us know!
Yippee! It's about time. First question in my mind is: Will it be possible to Odin back to lolipop, or is it a one-way upgrade like kitkat to lolipop?
Edit:
Here are the details from AT&T (https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/wireless/KB425932)

This is a big win for our community; we're getting the right partners internally to be able to communicate quicker (in this case, before it comes out). This is the start of something great.
I hope @GLIMMERMAN76 will speak to this, but I don't believe we've ever been able to tell our community about updates until they're already released.
The update will be available starting tonight if you're manually checking for it. Our team is reporting that the download server will go live around 7pm EST.
Tomorrow morning however, the update will get pushed to your Note 4.
One last thing, if you're on the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge (SM-N915A), you should be getting your MM update the same time as the Note 4"
Lmao @ big win
No, that would have been a decent win... if we didn't wait a whole year for MM to hit our device

Please let us know when any one of you get the update! I sold my phone few weeks ago so I will not be able to check out N910A's MM myself.

where is odin files?
Waiting for the ODIN files desperately. I have unlocked N91OA currently being used in India (running 5.0.1). Will my phone get locked again if I update via ODIN?

It's true most case but not mine. My phone unlocked with codes from the beginning 4.4 (bought ebay). Now it's locked back at 5.1.1 . Not any other SIM works but ATT. It asks to enter codes every time not att sim

Android 7.1.1

So now we have a release date in the US ( Dec 5) for Nougat 7.1.1. Any bets on how long it will take for ATT to get it to us?
https://www.yahoo.com/tech/android-7-1-1-nougat-175748137.html
Soon hopefully http://www.sammobile.com/2016/11/25...-update-for-the-galaxy-note-5-in-south-korea/
Start the bets? hahaha i think next year.
Can't wait for the beta test and the rapid release right after that... </sarcasm></u>

This phone hasn't worked any better than it did before I got a single update. All these patches and os upgrades have just slowed the phone down and added glitches.

Wi-Fi calling and enhanced messaging (or whatever it's called) were a pretty big step forward for the device.

If you were fortunate enough to not have your messaging broken by it. There is another thread in this forum that covers those of us who's messages don't go through with that turned on.
I still love the phone just wish I never updated it from the day I got it.

Has there been any confirmation that the Note 5 will actually get Nougat ? Just a tad cynical after the length of time it took for Marshmallow to drop.

Only beta in koria
Samsung phased a roll-out for the Marshmallow update, with some devices receiving it in South Korea at the end of January 2016. Other regions and devices had to wait a little longer with updates still being pushed in March 2016.
With so many devices to update, Samsung tends to be a little slower. At the moment, the company hasn't committed to a timeline, but it's thought that the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will be updated to the Grace UX - as found on the Note 7.
It has been confirmed that the Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 will be the full Android 7.1.1 version.
Samsung has started a Galaxy Beta Programme for Nougat, meaning this in US, UK, Korea and China can test the software on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
The T-Mobile network has confirmed some Samsung devices that will be updated at some point, including: Note 5, S6, S6 edge, S7 and S7 edge.
I would definitely prefer a downgrade from this 6.01 but if people report much improved battery life by heavy majority I may wait another year or so before upgrading.
I vote for a change in the title of this thread. Each time I see it I get a false sense of hope that AT&T actually released 7.1.1 overnight.

SAMSUNG PAY after last update is killing MST payments?

Hello...
I notice then after last update for SAMSUNG PAY ( installed on Samsung phone or on Samsung Gear S3 ) it says then you can pay only using NFC and payment using MST is no longer an option...
I didn't check it personally ( not yet ) if it works or not... just wonder if somebody try it after that update...
The last update for mine was August 19, 2019 ,version 3.7.45. been using it without issues.
What version did yours update to? And when?
Hope this is a issue then it being removed. Use mine a lot.
Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
It's because of the PSD2 (the EU's Payments Services Directive)
Mine stopped working on Monday before I even updated Samsung pay

Mine update is from 09.09.2019 version 3.8.86 on Note 10plus and update from 11.09.2019 version 1.9.0806 on Gear S3... and it's worrying me a little cause I was using MST in some places with old terminals and if Samsung kill that feature I need to start carry again mine credit card

It's funny though, I bought the watch upon its release, being tempted by the ECG feature, which, a year later still has not been officially released in Europe, marketing at its best, I give that to Samsung [emoji28]

That said, what does "best features" mean? We're only talking about what... 4 features? 2 of which have already been confirmed, right? 1 or 2 of which were promised at release?
-fall detection
-blood pressure
-ecg
-blood oxygen
Anything else?

Blood oxygen (SpO2) is still blocked by software in 5.5 for the Active 2. If you mean vO2max it's not the same thing, this is just a number it calculates using heart rate, distance, speed etc. after you've done a workout.
