Hello
So, i dont know if this is only me or general but the 2 Mongoose cores are always at full throtle, at 2.5 Ghz in iddle.
Is this normal ?
Thanks

defective core?

any one know of a way to check if one of my cores on the one if is not working or on its way out phones bean slow ish for past few days i know bench marks dont matter but i do them all the time and i used to get over 14000 on cpu only on quadrant were it tells u io / ram / cpu and stuff but now its not seeming to go over 11000 which is making be believe one of the cores is broke any ideas people am using arHD 9.6.0 and faux 010u
You can try any of those two:
CPU Spy (free)
Tablet CPU Usage monitor (Paid)

One core 1.7
Two cores 1.6
Four cores 1.4
Assuming you opt for uli oc and have a v3 chip.
Quadrant isn't a good bench mark as the.scores vary way to much to make it a good indicator antutu is better, try antutu the hox normally scores between 10 - 12 k on it.

thanks alot for the help people and i have just tried antutu and got a score of 12500 is that about right variant 2 full quad core 1.55 faux010u

How in the hell the processor can go 2.00GHz>??

So I flashed Agni Kernel and there is an option to change CPU Frequency. By default it is 1.6GHz so it means samsung created it max 1.6Ghz, How in the hell it can go 2.00GHz???

Ofcourse it can because software controls it, you just specify different values i.e. voltage etc and it can work at hingher frequencies. The only real problems are battery usage (will be higher) and system (CPU) heating... thus possibly shortening CPU/component life....

TMSC created a 3.1 GHz Cortex A9 dual (the processor in note ii is a Quad version of the same chip) to test out the max speed achievable. No information what type of cooling was used for it. Can only assume that it will require heatsink & fan. For tablets & phones, 2 GHz is the max speed you will see with 28nm.

if it's 2GHz the max speed why samsung sold it as 1.6GHz? or it is because of heat?

Vendors tend to slow upgrade the clock as it gives them more room to add every small jump as a new device. You as a customer are obleged to buy any new devices as quick as possible to sustain revenues.

What "sms2000" said, plus heat, battery usage, stability.... your device might be able to work at 2Ghz but i.e. not for 3 years but only 2 years....

Only 2 out of 6 cores are 1.8Ghz, other 4 are 1.4Ghz (Sprint)

Is this right?? (highest the core speeds go)
That is correct.

They lowered the clock speed of the sprint version to match it's network speed. (JKing)
its a big little set up. its probably a high clocked dual core + and lower clocked quad core.
samsung's S6 has the same thing but with a octacore. 4 higher clock cores paired with low power lower clocked cores.

Octa core? Quad core? Help me pleasešŸ˜

Sorry for my poor english. But something i really want to ask. Help me please.
I've got some problem on my z5 premium dual(6883). I'm not sure if it is problem of my phone or all e6883. Please can anyone help me or tell me?
z5 premium/z5 premium dual are using s810 with 4-a53 cores and 4-a57 cores. But my phone is always using the 4-a53 cores but seldom use a57 cores. Even use a57 cores, just use only maximum at 2. It is so weird. And even the 4-a53 cores are all fully used (usage: 100%), it won't switch to use or active a-57 cores.
So, my question is, can anyone tell me this is my e6883's problem or all e6883's problem?
the second processors usually get ignited ONLY if resources are LOW on the first chipset. running two simultaneously will drain battery!
don't worry! enjoy the device

Thx for answering me.
But i have still got a question. Just now i'm trying to open snapchat to reply my friends and i figured out my a-53 cores are fully loading about half minutes but the a-57 cores are still sleeping Is it just my e6883's problem? or something else?
I've captured my screen. Please have a look.
(left hand corner is the cpu temperature)

Use aida64 app to monitor

Snapdragon 636 an underclocked version of sd 660

Is Snapdragon 636 underclocked version of sd660 CPU specific in terms of architecture etc. As cpu-z app also show 636 as sd660 .
I am just curious to know that as i want to overclock it to sd660 clock speed .
If it is underclocked version then i guess there will be no risk of overclocking .
PS : please try to answer in simple language ?

I'm fairly sure GPU is hardware-locked so you won't be able to overclock it. The only thing you are able to overclock is the CPU but you would need a custom kernel.

No not yet. I've spent about a week going through this forum doing my research before I root the phone and start installing those delicious ROMs.

I have done it
It doesn't heat nor consumes significant amount of battery just worried about cpu temp while playing pubgm
Overclocking is fine (CPU only tho), and rooting isn't hard aswell. I personally don't OC cause I don't need it, gpu oc would be cool. Gonna note that the original bettery lost 12% capacity in 1.5 months, replaced it myself. Maybe fast charging (15w)/ heavy usage hurt it don't know, but new battery is just fine, so factory battery is seems to be bad...
