Warp charge stopped working. Have any of you experienced this? - OnePlus 7T Questions & Answers

Bought mine 2019-12 . few days ago (2020-03-30) warp charge stopped working, it still charged, but extremely slow like 40 percent an hour. When it was off i tried plugging in charger, but it started looping, it didn't boot to an animated picture with charging battery, but it still could boot into OS when power button was pressed. Did a factory reset, didn't help. Connecting to pc usb still recognizes it. Had a feeling it was a hardware error. Maybe fast charging module went bad.
Sent it for a warranty repair, got an answer that it will take more time because it was sent for an higher level service. I guess it's quite bad, it could be a motherboard fault.
I read on oneplus forums that quite a few people has a same issue. Just wondering if it is a common issue with 7t model. I'm a bit worried that OP 7t could have hardware reliability issues. i had like 4 smartphones starting with SAMSUNG GALAXY S1, none were faulty or had any hardware issues. Am i being paranoid? Should we be paranoid? Mine was in mint condition, zero falls, equipped with tempered glass and oneplus original case. Wondering if any of you had any issues with warp charge? What are your thoughts on this?

OnePlus 7 (non-Pro) vs 6T side by side pic comparison

I'm posting in case people would like to see the physical differences between the OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7 (non Pro version) for case decisions.
The specs claim that the OnePlus 7 is 0.2 mm longer. Other than that the switch button (for silent, vibrate, sound) is offset different between the two. The power button also seems slightly different but albeit it's almost negliable.
Since I'm trialing the 7 in the States (not officially offered) on T-Mobile and I had ordered a 6T earlier last week, I figured I would snap off some pics for the forums for comparison purposes.

Official Flip Cover from Oneplus for Oneplus 7

I wanted to get the original flip cover from oneplus for my oneplus 7.
Apparently there is that but not in the shop ..
Does anyone know if the flip cover from the 6T also fits?
Of the dimensions, both are almost identical except for the slightest deviations in length.
Thanks in advance

Yes, I upgraded from the 6T to the 7 and the dimensions are the same, the only issue I have is that closing the cover no longer shuts the screen off.

Find 7 Replacement Battery

Hey,
does anyone know where you can still get a replacement battery for the 7 which supports quick charging (vooc)?
Oppo doesn't seem to sell them since 2018 and I ordered a third party battery around 2018 which allegedly supported quick charging but didn't in the end.
I'd need a new battery soon since the original one I'm still using more or less reached the end of its days since it's dead after a few hours of usage.
Ive been looking for one for years lol. I got my Find 7 the month they released and im still using the original battery. Im honestly amazed how well this phone was built.
Sadly I dont think there are ever going to be replacements again. even in 2016 it was hard finding replacements. Supposedly you can get one direct from Oppo but they require proof of purchase for the phone which for most people including me is long long gone.
I wrote Oppo UK and they redirected me to iSmash UK for a replacement battery.
They're currently closed due to Corona though.
So..so far no luck.

Maybe we can find a solution if we're lucky.

I'm not sure, but when I bought them my wife didn't complain about charging times.

I sent those guys a request. Let's see if they say it does support VOOC.

The perfect OnePlus 7 Pro case

There are literally TONS of cases available for the OnePlus 7 Pro, but I have yet to find what I would consider the "perfect" case. Of course durable, but it would be a high capacity battery case that features wired AND wireless warp charge capability since wireless warp charging only recently came out with the OnePlus 8 Pro. It doesn't seem to me that this is not doable, since the technology exists, someone just needs to make it. I think it would be extremely popular, and I'd be the first in line to buy one, instead of needlessly upgrading to the 8 Pro just for that reason. I have the 7 Pro 5G, so I'd be all set with upgrading for quite a while if such a thing we're available.

Tech21 Evo Check case?

Hello,
I was thinking about getting a tech21 Evo Check case as I'd totally like to have a clear case with decent protection. I'm using a poetic revolution case right now.
Yesterday my phone fell face down onto my bathroom tiles from around 3 or 4 feet high and was fine, so I'd want something that can survive that as that's pretty much the only way my phone will take impact lol.
Does anyone have experiences with the EVO Check or any other clear case that they can share?
