France Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 use E-Sim in Germany - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hello today i bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G it is a France device, in France they use the frequences LTE 800 and LTE1800 in Germany too.
It is possible to get running a German E-Sim on it ? Or Flash a German ROM or anything ?
Kind regrads from Germany !

@Son.y
If you want write me a personal message ... then we can try it in German ...
If you want..
Wenn Du willst schreib mir eine Persönliche Nachricht... dann können wir es in dt. Sprache versuchen...

I'm kind of in the same boat. I have a German watch 46mm lte and live in Belgium. I want to activate orange esim (I already have a qr code) but the wearable app doesn't give me an option to scan a qr code. I have a proximus, telenet and orange simcard to try in my s10+ but none of them gives me the scan option in wearable app
And to answer OP question, the European lte watch models should all be compatible cross country, all lte bands are supported

@glenner05
Please give more details...
Enter this code like you would call someone...
Code:
*#1234#
And write visible result...
So we can see Firmware details...
Thanx.
Best Regards

I have the mobile option in the wearable app but I always get the error 'this operator is not supported on your watch ' and I don't get the qr option.
I'm sure if I could get a german simcard and put it in my phone I would get to the qr scanning option, then I would just scan my orange esim qr code and after that use my belgian sim again . Anybody have a spare german simcard by any chance

According to your Photo... thanx... you are not exact in same boat...
Because your device is SM-R805F...
IMHO this simplify the problem with CSC change... if mandatory...
IMHO if CSC change is solution... then your way is to downgrade to older Firmware to use SDB Tool for easier CSC change like this method:

Code:

Be carefully... you need OXA...

This idea could be wrong... anyway... it is possible to be sure which CSC is set as active...
Anyway...
You wish to use CSC from Belgium...

Csc for belgium is LUX
So you think if i manage (by downgrading) to change csc from DBT to LUX i might get the scanning option? Im a little afraid to try that because there are no lte watches sold in belgium, so normally there are no LUX lte watches. I could make the problem worse? And second i dont want to brick my device. I have experience with flashing before, i know odin and stuff but never flashed samsung watches before. I used to flash samsung phones a couple of years ago

Problems in LTE activation (different regions)

Hello friends,
I'm from Brazil and I bought a LTE Galaxy Watch in Germany, exactly the same version (Sm-R805F) used in Brazil. However when I went to my mobile company to activate the e-sim it was not possible. When the system ask to read a QR code, in the mobile networks' activation process, a message of error appears ("It's not possible to conect this mobile"). Does anyone know why and how to fix it?
Can you check this Code...
Code:
*#1234#
Seems DIFFERENT Software crap exists... so different Profiles...
Code:
OXX
OXA
Check your CSC ...
OXA could be inside German Version... and OXX is maybe for Brazil...
Best Regards

Thank you very much!
I did it and the CSC is OXA (German version).
How can I change it to OXX?
PS: I did as they recomended here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/gear-s3/guide-how-to-change-gear-s3-r760-csc-t3784226 ) but theres no Brazilian code nor OXX.
OXX and OXA are """group"""
OXA contains minimum DBT CSC... for Germany
You can NOT change from OXA to OXX... because the config files not inside...
Your Link shows only way to change existing CSC inside flashed CSC file...
Example...
I have Firmware files... from OXX region...
Code:
CSC_[B]OXX[/B]_R805FOXX1BRI4_usr.tar.md5
You can unpack and extract with 7Zip... csc.img file.
Folder preconfig have 8 folderS with 7 CSC... DEF means Default IMHO...
Code:
BRI
TGY
VAU
XNZ
XSA
XSG
XSP
XSP is Singapore...
For the others I am tooo lazy... forgotten... use Google...
I have NO idea if it is an good idea to try to flash with netOdin such CSC files... or complete Firmware of OXX region.
Samsungs funny Security...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
I have tried to identify Brzil via Google search...
For me it looks no CSC inside for Brazil...
I have NO idea if SM-R805F is for Brazil market...
Edit 2.
Okidoki... Google search leads to this:
https://www.samsung.com/br/support/model/SM-R805FZSAZVV/
So looks like exists for Brazil... and you can see Sales Code ZVV it is in Product Code...
Code:
SM-R805FZSA[B]ZVV[/B]
IMHO 3 region groups... OXX OXA and ?
Firmware for Brazil seems not leaked... with ZVV inside...
Edit 3.
Firmware for SM-R805F for Brazil looks like this:
Code:
R805FXXU1CRK7/R805F[B]OWO[/B]1CRK7/R805FXXU1CRK7
So OWO is Region Code... for Brazil...
IMHO OWO package have ZVV Sales Code/CSC inside... for Brazil.
Edit 4.
My fault...
Code:
R805FXXU1DSC7_Tizen_4File_Multi CSC ([B]OWO[/B]).rar
Leaked and available...
But still no idea if this helps you... because dangerous to flash... Sams..g Security could prevent success...

I've been reading the post, but I'm a little lost. I do not know what to do. I have a R815 Vodafone Germany version, and I want to activate it for movistar Spain, but I receive the error "It's not possible to conect this mobile". The data of my watch are the following:
AP: R815FXXU1ARH5
CP: R815FXXU1ARH5
CSC: R815FOXA1ARH5
With the SDB utility I have accessed a hidden menu on the watch and I changed the original CSC VD2 to XEC, or at least I thought so ... I think VD2 is Vodafone Germany, and XEC is Movistar Spain (the company that I have on my mobile phone). Samsung Pay works, but LTE is impossible to configure ("It's not possible to conect this mobile")
It is possible to get a different firmware and flash it?... or how can I get to configure an esim (lte) from movistar españa?

Is not to you to do'it...
You need to call the operatório, in this case, Movistar and subscribe for the service and they activate the eSim...

Hi had same problem
Hello mate
I bought Samsung Galaxy watch when I was on holidays in Greece as in UK the LTE version was only with contract on EE. As I'm using Vodafone UK, I got the Qr Code for the esim but Samsung neither Vodafone could help me to make it work. Finally I make It work but my self, because my Samsung Galaxy watch is from Greek region I try to activate my Vodafone uk esim with a Greek sim network in my mobile device and it's worked perfectly, even when I put back my Vodafone uk sin on my mobile.
Hope that helps you.

I am 100 % sure... your CSC OPV is not inside OXA package...

Hi adfree!
You are right:
A.- Old tricks are not valid for any GWA2 (including SM-R825F). Till now only combination firmware solution can change the csc
B.- Googling and Googling and no combination firmware available yet for this model SM-R825F... the one you found I'm almost sure is a mistype. The title is "R825F U1 combination" but the name of the file is COMBINATION-FT40_R825USQU1ASK2.tar.EF , so, no, it's NOT a good idea flash SM-R825U software into our SM-R825F ...
I'll keep googling to find if somewhere someone sells / gives us combination firmware for R825F !
SM-R825F
Have exactly same issue. I bought watch in Austria and try to activate e-sim from orange Poland. Does not work of course. Did you solve your problem already?
I have talk to samsung customer care and some service station, still nothing. Today they told me that in few cases service update to orange compatible firmware has been successful.

Does the SM-R825FSKAXEO flash will change csc to XEO in both files prodcode.dat and active-csc-customer.inf or they will remain unchanged?
Otherwise only combination firmware is the solution, am I right?
Samsung service stations in Poland are completely not interested to help in solving our problem however Samsung support says different...

Hello Guys thanks for your great informations and work and help.
I already changed a CSC's GWA2 R820 to the KOO CSC then it was possible to update to the latest FRM and also to the TIZEN 4.0.0.7.
Now i get a GWA2 R825F (XEF) i wanna ask you please if the process still the same? coz i saw that the firmware is old and still in 4.0.0.6 ....... is there a tuto on how changing the csc to another one to be able to update latest FRM?
Or maybe the latest firmware for the R825F is still 4.0.0.6 ?
Thanks for all answers.
I have sm-r825f with Tizen 4.0.0.6 but there is nothing I can do without combination firmware. However to play to much a bit afraid to do not brick the watch forever.... ?

@yager01
You could try OXA... use ESD8:
Code:
R805FXXU1[B][COLOR="Green"]ESD8[/COLOR][/B]_Tizen_4File_Multi CSC ([B][COLOR="Green"]OXA[/COLOR][/B])
This should be valid for further FOTA update for TMH CSC...

Few days ago I updated with Odin My Note9. I downloaded from the sammobile the actual last firm and made it without problem. I don't understand why bigger the risk with the samsung watch.

Phones have USB cable for Emergency Flashing.
Samsung Watches is bigger problem if you kill the """WiFi Security chain"""...
You have not USB cable for easy second attempt.
And the LTE Watches makes more trouble... if you doing something wrong or simple out of luck.
You asked about worst case...
netOdin is not 100 % riskfree.
IMHO:
No risk no fun.

Downgrade
Hi, I have SM-R805F bought in Czech rep. Can I use these instructions for downgrade my firmware to change my region (I want Samsung Pay)? I have saved my eSIM in my watches now - after flashning it will stay there or will be deleted? Thanks a lot
@ohajo3
Yes you can. Do not reset networks after flash during setup. Esim will stay.
I changed my CSC to Australia to get the Samsung Pay but this disabled VoLTE on my watch. I m now not able to call or receive any calls. I m from India. Watch was originally purchased in Australia.
During this process I was prompted for update which I did and now I m stuck with 4.0.0.7 version and no way to change the CSC back to INU using shell access way.
Only way now looks to use the combination firmware and Odin. But not sure where to find the Combination Firmware for SM-R805F LTE version.
Anyone or @adfree can point me to right direction to get the right required binaries ?
My device details
AP : R805FXXU1FSL4
CP: R805FXXU1FSL4
CSC: R805FOXX1FSL4
LTE version.
Can anyone help with the right binary I should use to downgrade?
These are my device details:
AP : R805FXXU1FSL4
CP: R805FXXU1FSL4
CSC: R805FOXX1FSL4
LTE version.
Not able to find combination firmware for this version. Not very sure which one I should use.
Thanks in advance.
@madono
You wish to have India INU?
http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/INU/SM-R805F/version.test.xml
IMHO seems INU require OXX package...
Here are 2 OXX packages:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79644543&postcount=1
According to DBT list... they are before Tizen 4.0.0.7
So please try these 2 firmwares... with the old method to change CSC...
So IMHO no Combination Firmware required...
Only downgrade...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
Sorry, my fault...
Links expired.
Edit 2.
Oh, totally forgotten...
Latest FTC1 for OXX region is here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82893207&postcount=55
INU inside this OXX region.
@adfree Thanks for the links! I m downloading it right now. Speed is slow, not sure if I will be able to download it in one go. Is there any expiry for this download link? If I m not able to download today, will try tomorrow again.
Another question for downgrade, do I have to choose all four files , namely, BL, AP, CP, CSC to downgrade?
I have not done a galaxy watch downgrade before so wanted to be sure not to mess it.
I actually wanted to have Samsung Pay and LTE enabled. It was working fine using Australia CSC code but my Phone operator recently changed calling only on VoLTE. So i was not able to receive calls or call anyone. Only internet was working using AU CSC.
Now it seems I have to choose between calling and Samsung Pay. SP is not officially launched on Galaxy Watch in India. Only on smartphone it is allowed. Not sure why.
Thank you once again!
Regards,
madono
Hi @adfree,
I downloaded the firmware from the link. Today was bit hard day at work so not trying to update watch.
Will try it out with fresh mind tomorrow. Just need couple of things cleared before I try it.
1. In firmware download steps, it is mentioned to only use BL, AP, CSC file?
Downloaded rar has 4 files. Is this fine?
And final one this is my current watch status
AP : R805FXXU1FSL4
CP: R805FXXU1FSL4
CSC: R805FOXX1FSL4
Watch is LTE model.
I m good to go ahead with said firmware?
@adfree please review, don't want to mess this one. I know there is always risk but want to use correct firmware.
Thanks for the help!

Hi ,
Finally was able to downgrade to 4.0.0.4 and watch did not explode
This link has 4.0.0.7
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...7&postcount=55
After download I was still on 4.0.0.7 and looks like my CSC was still pointing to AU
I used this link to downgrade : https://www.file-upload.net/download...E3_OXX.7z.html
Then SDB command to change CSC from AU to India
Thanks to @adfree
One thing I observed that my eSIM was not reset. I was expecting it will be removed when I downgrade. Looks like it is left alone in this process.
Not sure if there is any way to enable Samsung Pay without changing CSC. Missing SP very much in current time.

Did I correct understand:
To change CSC by old method (with SDB) it is needed:
1. Flash with Odin all 4 files (early Firmware)
2. Change CSC with SDB
3. Install Samsung Pay
4. Flash with Odin all 4 files (latest firmware) back to FSL4
and Samsung Pay will stay?

I am tooooooo lazy for now... to check how many SM-R820 stuck on this old Firmware instaed the neweset like XAR Sales Code/active CSC got...
I have only uploaded older Firmware + Combination firmware here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80340381&postcount=8
For netOdin use...
Leaked seems only BSJ9... not newer...
Use Google to find the pay sites...
No idea when Samsung release latest Version for your active CSC.. or maybe something is wrong... and FOTA update is blocked...
1 way is to identify active CSC via Tool SDB...
Ask Samsung why they hide it...

Edit 1.
if SDB Tool is an problem...
Then B:
Check this app:

I used method B
The csc it gave is XSG meaning UAE right?
Can I switch to another csc to get the OTA?
UAE... maybe... use Google to be sure...
Sorry I am from Germany... and my brain is limited to remember 80 CSC...
But with your result you can create Links:
http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/XSG/SM-R820/version.xml
https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-R820/XSG/doc.html
Now you see... your active CSC is limited to this Version as latest:
Code:
R820XXU1BSJ6/R820OXA1BSJ6
CSC changing is for instance here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/galaxy-watch/changing-region-galaxy-active-2-t3983895
WARNING!
If you need mandatory Samsung Pay...
Maybe change to XAR or other CSC disable your Samsung Pay...
No idea I have no Crystal Ball... OWN RISK!
Maybe wait "few" dayS more...

Thanks again
I don't need Google Pay, just need an European csc that has updates before the others
Code:
AP_R820XXU1BTA1_usr.tar.md5
BL_R820XXU1BTA1_usr.tar.md5

Impossible to update my Watch Active

Hello. I had an OXE CSC on my SM-R500 (Tizen 4.0.0.7) and I wanted to get a XEF CSC. I flashed the watch with R500XXU1BSB7 with Tizen 4.0.0.3. But, I can't install the update (R500XXU1DSL1) with the in-app plugin. When the update is downloaded and transferred on the watch, I start the installation. But, few seconds later (close to 96%), the installation progress jumps to 100%, the watch reboots and I have an error message who tells me the watch can't be update and asks me to go in a Samsung Customer Service.
Who can help me please ?

Good Question.
XEF is inside this package... you can check by decompress and extract files from csc.img with Tool:
Code:
7Zip
I had an OXE CSC

This looks to me as no valid CSC...
OXE I saw only as Region Code...
In case of SM-R500 this is wrong... we have only OXA Region with all CSC / Sales Codes inside...
So IMHO something is not 100 % correct...
IMHO check your priorites...
All I know about Samsung Pay is...
Nobody can be 100 % sure... because few Cards not accepted... Region blocked etc... blabla...

I have 4.0.4 R810XXU1CSE1. My Watch was bought in USA, so when I came back to Brazil the Samsung Pay not worked.
So I done the downgrade to activate Pay and worked. But, now i'm not able to add card and to do uograde too. LOL =/ . I didn't use the DSL1 because isn't possible to chagem CSC in 4.0.7.
What do you recommend?
But after CSC Change you can use DSL1...
What ever you used,, will not changed by Firmware Update...
If you not change every 5 Minutes CSC...
IMHO you can flash DSL1...
And if you have no problems with R810XXU1CSE1... you can still use CSE1...
Depend on your flavor... on your needs...
Maybe try DSL1 with Samsung Pay... maybe more luck as Samsung Pay newer Version...
NO Garantie...
S Pay is Security crap and secured by Samsung by some funny and """mystique""" Voodoomagic and seems not all Cards supported.. real or virtual Cards
IMHO 1 Security Wall is Phone... Country Check...
Tooo many ?
No easy solution.
Best Regards
Great!! So I'll try flash to DSL1, and follow if will the nexts updates and S Pay will works too.
In time, via my serial, is this possible to check what was the default CSC of my watch?
Best regards.
