[THEME]CM11 Black Theme / Light theme

Use ONLY if you are using AOKP, CyanogenMod or a similar ROM that is current and has the theme chooser installed/enabled.
CM11 (or similar 4.4.2 kitkat AOSP roms with theme chooser) is the best option for the theme. It MAY work on CM10.2, but really is only guaranteed for CM11.
If you prefer a light themed version, feel free to use the light edition of the Kit Kat theme on the market with a holo.light dialer/messaging app.
It is based on my other popular themes on Google Play, so I would recommend you check these out before you purchase this special edition.
If you use the quick response in MMS.apk, make sure you enable "dark theme" in the MMS/SMS settings.
This is tested and will work on CM10 and AOKP ROMs. Custom ROMs that deviate from these such as Paranoid Android may introduce issues as these ROMs deviate strongly and some features may not support themes.
Notes:
- Works best on CM11
- In order to allow no background for statusbar and navbar, please use a custom rom that supports that (such as AOKP), I cannot theme this via theme chooser unfortunately.
- CM11 Dialer only themed when using CM11 based ROMs as of January 29th 2014 (incudes the relevant changes to make dialer themable)
Installation:
Apply theme, then reboot. Reboot is also required after a theme update is installed.
Getting"improperly compiled" error?. Set to system theme, reboot, then apply.
Missing assets/screen size? Apply anyway
- Added custom white statusbar icons (for those that use a themed ROM but do not like the customizations)
- Kitkat inspired dialer
- Added a semi-transparent widget background for most system widgets
- No dividers in settings and other sub- and pop-up menus
- Themed pop-up and settings menus
- Black background for dialer and contact/people app
- Themed MMS and people app (fully themed)
- Themed Google Now
- Themed Play Store
- Themed Play Music
- Themed Browser
- Themed Gmail
- Themed Google Translate
- Themed Google Drive
Previous changelog:
V4.9
- Changes on the dialer and some other minor edits
V4.6
- Pressed effects for recent apps grey
- Small changes in the dialog popup (little less transparent)
V4.5
- Updated for CM11 commits to Dialer and DocumentsUI (starting with nightlies Jan 28)
V4.3
- More modifications to pressed effect in quicksetting tiles and textfields as well as text highlights and list pickers - all de-blued
- Brought back dialog box glow effect (subtle) for holo dark windows
- Updated for CM11 commits to Dialer and DocumentsUI (starting with nightlies Jan 28)
- Gmail - removed breathing notification icon, fixed issue with overflow menu not being visible in message_header, fixed issue introduced with 4.2 (white highlight in side drawer)
- Text marker (start, middle and end) now grey (to be visible in light and dark apps) instead of holo blue
V4.2
- Updated for CM11 commits to Dialer and DocumentsUI (starting with nightlies Jan 28)
- fixed one minor issue with Dialer digits background
- Many changes to remove even more blue for holo.light and holo.dark (especially dialog box headers and dividers and other places)
- fixed some minor inconsistencies in light themed apps (scrubbers etc)
- Other small updates
V3.6
- De-blued scrubber images (eg volume controls)
- De-blued horizontal progressbars
- Added theming for new AOKP quicksetting icons (immersive mode, sound modes etc)
- Navbar highlights now white(ish) instead of blue
V3.4
- Changed Deskclock/clock theming (no more holo blue)
V3.3
- Improved popup panel visibility (contrast frame) for dark popups, removed SMS icon themeing
V3.1
- fixed the gmail list picker in compose view
- fixed blue font in play store side drawer
as this is a paid theme and if you wish to try it out for free use the Mod Edit: Links Removed it is the same thing , only google now launcher is not themed and status bar icons are blue and not kitkat white
this theme is not made by me ,i am just sharing this onbehalf as he doesnt have time to post it here with his due permissions ofcourse

light version for those who love white :highfive:
Now fully compatible with CM11 (4.4-based).
Use ONLY if you are using AOKP, CM10.2 or a similar ROM that is current and has the theme chooser installed/enabled and is based on Android 4.3 or newer.
The suggested ROM should be CM11 based (Android 4.4.x) to ensure this theme will work with all devices.
If you are using ParanoidAndroid, do not use this theme (only the black theme Kit kat theme will work). PA does not include a lot of theme-relevant commits that other ROMs, like CyanogenMod and AOKP have included since months and years. You can thank their "AOSPA" for being that theme-unfriendly.
This theme enhances the already well designed JellyBean interface in anticipation of the upcoming Kitkat Android 4.4 release - and is light themed including a totally inverted dialer and messaging app to holo.light.
- In order to allow no background for statusbar and navbar, please use a custom rom that supports that (such as AOKP), I cannot theme this via theme chooser unfortunately.
- To allow the dialer to have the blue custom action bar for Kit Kat on the bottom, you need a special dialer I created: You can download it here (Google actually cheater the custom action bar, it isn't a proper action bar like in the contacts app). Please make a backup prior to using this dialer as I cannot guarantee it works with all custom ROMs.

Just to be clear here to the mod's that may stumble across this post.
@paarthdesai approached me, in good spirit, asking whether he can create a thread on XDA for my theme thinking he will do me a favor.
I told him I do not mind (yet also did not ask him to do this on my behalf, that is simply wrong) but also alerted him the reason this theme is not advertised by me on XDA as the free version is not available on XDA but my own G+ beta community only - hence could be see to be in violation to the T&Cs of XDA of advertising a paid theme.
So, for the avoidance of doubt:
- I am ok with him sharing it in principle ( i think he means well doing it so dont want to turn him down, although i am questioning the value-add)
- He is not doing this per my instructions or on my behalf and is not working for me or similar! Given he has copied 99% of my words from Google Play though I am tempted to ask the mods to delete given this may potentially be seen as an issue and I am not prepared to risk that.
- I could easily share this myself but refrained from doing so in order to not violate and obey the rules on XDA. Time is not the issue, i have previously advertised my free themes here openly but refrained from doing that with my paid themes on GooglePlay.
- I have no problem asking mods to delete this thread if there is any potential violation to XDA terms! My theme has done well without advertising so far and will continue with or without this thread in a subregion with as little activity as the GNEX forum.
I hope you guys understand - I simply dont want to risk issues with XDA so need to ensure this is all proper and OK, hence the need for my comment! I also asked XDA to review my response to check for any potential issue and will ask them to delete the thread if they believe it is not ok.
as there is a free version of the same theme.. there won't be any violations as the rule says there must be a free version if you're posting a paid app... i have linked a similar theme with only one or two apps not themed and status bar icons aren't themed... i posted this here because i felt that kitkat white themes are less as of today and many people like me might be in need of them.. as this theme doesn't pop up when you search cm11 themes in play store... i got a recommendation of this one by a frnd of mine...
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
As XDA rules state, a paid app can only be posted if a functionally-uncrippled free version is available alongside.
Seeing as this was done without any malice or bad intention, I have to remove the links and the name mentions.
Also, a general rule of the thumb, if its not made by you, its better to avoid posting it.
I request that folks be a little more careful in the future. To refresh your memory, have a read through the forum rules
11. Don’t post with the intention of selling something.
Don’t use XDA to advertise your product or service. Proprietors of for-pay products or services, may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or a free version of their product for XDA users and to offer support, but not to post with the intention of selling. This includes promoting sites similar / substantially similar to XDA-Developers.com.

Dude that Spidey pulldown is killer. I saw the Dead-pool one you did in Wicked too. N.I.C.E.!
Edit: you should consider getting an account with Android File Host to share your stuff. Dropbox has a tendency to temporarily shut down accounts with what they consider to be too much traffic.
Thank you

All work's good in rom?!Data,3g,GPS?!worth?!Or i have issues?!=)
Great improvement in the new build and the fix for 3G has worked a charm. Only problem I now face is I can't move apps to the SD? I can store files on there no problem when flashing or moving pictures etc, but I get the message 'Couldn't move app, not enough storage space'. Is this an issue of the ROM or unrelated? Looking forward to the next build!
And bluetooth?
Does bluetooth work flawlessly? I am currently on CM12 unofficial beta and (just as with CM 11), it's like s#!t... (The rom is fine otherwise, but that's a deal-breaker for me...)
can u fix the stock browser player....when i play a youtube video it plays in a colourful(flickering) condition....
Battery
There is a high drop in the battery level during standby. Rom is highly stable but this battery trouble is huge drawback. So, I hope you come up with a apt solution fixing this.
Connection issue
Hi all,
I kindly request you help,
the Rom works good, except for the fact that I cannot connect via Internet when i'm not in wifi.
The data connection icon, on the status bar, is presented with the maximum reception but with an exclamation sign.
I called my phone company twice . and they, twice, reset my phone line. but the problem is still present.
Could you suggest me how to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot.
don't know if it's matter but, i'm writing from Italy, the phone company is italian.
Best regards

If you didn't install it as you rooted your device all you need to do is download it from the app store
@ChemoNL Just to confirm, the latest rom has 3G/Wifi fix, functioning camera and date/time in the centre of the status bar feature?

only no date in center status bar. time is working well
@ChemoNL Hi mate, in the latest build for some reason when I tap the physical menu button that brings up the the wallpapers, widgets and settings options and then click on settings, it brings up the google settings and not the device settings settings? Was this an intentional change? If so, is there any way I change it back?

Wow, cool ROM man. Obviously, as stated in the OP, its basically Carbon ROM heavily themed and tweaked.
I downloaded and installed because I'm a fan of Carbon, and so far I'm very impressed.
No problems, flashed ROM and gapps, reinstalled apps with Titanium Backup, so far no issues, all seems good.
Very smooth and fluid, obviously will let the rom settle in over the next few days and see how it goes.
Good job, keep up the work!
Peace.
nice one
but could you make dolby installation separate from the rom?
some of us didnt like dolby too much
Good work???
The theming and all is okay.. Let's get to the main part.. Is the proximity sensor issue fixed on this rom? Is the touch issue when screen off during call is fixed? Anybody can confirm?
Nice work though..

No it isn't...... Its still the same as on Carbon Rom. Its a themed version of Carbon...and plus some other features.
The bugs on Carbon are same as here.
Any by the way, Saksham, good Job. Looks compelling Rom. I love when people go beyond and starts to dig in. Android is just awsome and basically people could go beyond anything.
Keep it up.
Thanks...
@saksham.singh48......great work bro.
Nice, Well done

The base rom is carbon rom, if i remember carbon had low speaker volume
Cool ROM. Great work.
Hey Saksham.
I tried your crystal ROM on my Redmi 1s. I must admit that the ROM clearly reflects the hard work put in by you.
One thing, however, that I noticed was that the free RAM was less than what was available in Carbon ROM. I found the camera quality to be quite decent. Dolby digital is a welcome addition.
I just can't wait for your crystal ROM to be released with custom kernel.
DT2W will be pretty exciting.
Hats off to you for this ROM.
Keep on developing and evolving the ROM.
Wow Finally U Back Again
