Android 10 is finally here! - Huawei P20 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey guys.. FF now shows the android 10 firmware for eml. didnt try it yet but it says available for my phone.

Finally. I tried to update using the FF DNS + HiSuite method I used to update to EMUI 9 but it doesn't work anymore for me. I'm going to see if I can update another way.
EDIT: I just checked and this method still works for older updates. Maybe I'm just too early with EMUI 10, I'll wait and see

Same thing here cannot update. Mmf. Have to wait..

Help needed

I am using a BND-L24C567B150 model. On 30th April my phone received the oreo update. I downloaded the file but when I tried to install it my phone went to reboot but once its back on nothing changes. I again tried to update the software by using 'Download latest full package' option. This time my phone downloaded a smaller file than before and once it installed and rebooted nothing changed as before.
Please help me as I know very little about android phones and don't know what to do to get the oreo update.
Thank you.
you sure it didnt work have you actually checked the version in about phone? you say you dont know much about android and oreo didnt change anything visually, only way to know is looking at the version.
i checked, its still running on the old os..
i dont think you received the oreo update. you must have received the face unlock update. to see if you truly received the oreo update get huawei firmware finder from the store and see if your device is authorized for 8.0, if it says not authorized for installation it means you didnt receive the 8.0 update as your device isnt even authorized yet.

Updates stucked @ B101 on BL locked unmodified phone, how to official update?

Guys, stuck @ ancient version B101 on my honor 7X for ages.
Want Oreo with faceunlock but that damn thing doesnt show me a single update.
Tried FF and it finds all the updates for my phone but sadly the DNS/VPN mehtod doesnt work -> package checksum error.
Redownloaded the updates multiple times and tried other updates with the same result.
FF states that the files i have tried are approved.
Any chance to manually flash the downloaded full OTAs?
thx

you can try updating via hurupdater, but you might lose your data in the process.
Thanks, will post in that thread.

Android 11 OTA takes forever on sideload

Hello,
I'm trying to install Android R DP2 update with sideload, but i'm stuck at Verifying update package, been stuck for like 1 hour and nothing happens, in cmd there's no Serve and percentage text... What might be the problem?
I'm on stock rom, latest update, no root, locked bl
I've same problem. Do you found a solution already?

Nope, just gave up until OTA i guess... have no idea why tho and there is no threads around about same problem
It worked for me maybe try redown loading the OTA.
The biometrics for most of my apps do not work on DP2. They were working on DP1. Since I made the mistake of using my Verizon version instead of my unlocked one I'm stuck either waiting for DP3 or the beta version as the only option to downgrade back to 10.

I'm on Verizon as well... and well re-downloading OTA did not work for me, i have tried that one too...
USB C to USB 2.0 will work. USB C to C will not, ADB doesn't have the proper protocols to work with it.
Make sure your adb and fastboot are up to date.

Cant downgrade Matepad Pro (MRX-W09) to EMUI10 by using HiSuite

I just buy a matepad pro. I then update all software update and factory reset as usual, however, I just notice that GMS(Googlefier) need to be installed during EMUI 10. (I already try to install GMS on EMUI11 but it not working.)
So I find the roll back method and find that HiSuite provided this roll back.
However, when I use it, I don't find that function in the update function.
I already try to use HiSuite proxy but it say something like group not match.
I already try to downgrade by download EMUI 10, copy to usb, and do with update option but it say that it cannot be downgrade by that.
For CUST, BASE, etc (sry cant remember, but it is the secret function that need to access by calculator) it all show 11.x.x.x.
In the Huawei community, they said that if there is no option to roll back on HiSuite, then just contact the customer service.
BUT, I already contact the customer service BUT they said that they also use the same tool (HiSuite) and it not be able to roll back, so they not be able to help.
Please help. Without GMS, it like a paperweight for me.
I have successfully installed GMS on my Huawei Matepad Pro and also updated to EMUI 11
If I use this version of HiSuite:
HiSuite_11.0.0.500_OVE
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
www.mediafire.com
When I try to update it says I have the latest version - I also get the option to downgrade to 10.1.0.182 (but I have not done the downgrade)
If you are sucessfull, you have to downgrade again to version 10.1.0.120 before tryingto install GMS
I used the recovery menu to downgrade to 10.1.0.120 with a usb-memory and usb-c adaptor.

I have my Matepad Pro attached with HDB to this version of HiSuite and when I press "System Update" it searches for a while, then it says I have the latest offificial version (11.0.0.166) and below it says "switch to other version"
When I press "switch to other version" I get the option to install version 10.1.0.182
I dont know why that is not working for you, sorry
I did exactly same on wifi pro today. It was on newest emui 11. Hisute 11 put it to 10.1.0.182., then dload from nm card to 10.1.0.1120.

can I have your image when you use hisuit? Jusst to know what version of phone, app you using
Someone can post an old build? if I try to install from update mode it's possible?
hisuite doesn't work for me.
I just bought MatePro 10.8. It came with EMUI 11, when i tried to use HiSuite I cannot see the option to see previous updates so cannot use it. My question is can I downgrade to EMUI 10 using USB C method and installation with Recovery mode? Or that's it and won't be able to downgrade directly from 11 to 10?
Hi, got the same issue. Using HiSuite and HisuiteProxy, but no luck to downgrade. All loading great, but on final step getting error ="Software Install Failed".
Tried to downgrade only via HiSuite, but no option to downgrade shown. Any other options?

Updates

Hope this helps someone. I had been waiting for 11 update, so I got online with oneplus chat on their website. After checking my phone IMEI and version with the person from oneplus, 11 update finally came to my phone ... Hope this helps if your phone is still on 10 and is not a carrier phone like mine.
no OTA update available here ./
The update automatically installed on my phone without any prompt, and broke root for me. I don't see it on the OnePlus either to manually patch the boot file.
i'm not even seeing the update either for android 11 on my n100, maybe it's a region specific thing or it's because i'm using the eu firmware on my global variant device.
